So Chum brains instead of the personal insults how about proving us misguided bogans wrong with some proof or hard facts? I can tell you now the "90mm" Apexi N1 exhaust on my dads GTR was a restriction swapped it out for a custom system gained 20kw EVERYWHERE & 200rpm of response was gained also. My Evo 9 doesn't have a single Japanese aftermarket part on it. Because as pretty as they look they dont produce the results unfortunately! -

His name says it all Piggy don't worry son! Your cars results speak for themselves and i think the only Jap parts you have on it are the cooler and intake manifold? -
Ahhhh FFS dude STFU! Yes "stock" LOL!
-
Stock turbo now back on so no more FP leaky rubbish under my bonnet!
-
Not trying to knock your result Stao but i noticed you only ran the 35R up to 25psi? A 35R will keep making power past 25psi no worries. So not an entirely true statement about making more power than the 35R

Preperation Required Rb30 Block For 3.2 Stroker Build
Mick_o replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Bets on how long the getrag lasts? I dont think you quite know what you have built here Pete at 345kw that 6262 was barely passing wind. I think you can expect another 100kw out of this thing (with E85). It will probably make 345kw at around 4500 lol! On that note is it being flex tuned? -
Haha thanks Andy! Problem is my shed is only 6m long so the stag won't fit inside it!

Can i ask why ya trying to rotate the comp housing mate? -
Thanks Matt oh well live and learn mate. I did love the turbos performance which is why it sucks so much! It only seems to be a stock frame Mitsubishi issue. The evo turbos they build run their own custom dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge which is the flop. But turbos like Matts yeah they are a modified garrett basically with the HTA comp wheel http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/453377-evo-9-turbo-kit-sydney/

Dodgy designed turbo leaks oil like a tanker. They won't warrant it as they dont make them anymore and they flat out blame the oil leaks on crank case pressure not their product. Its a well known thing about them in the evo world. I know of 4 other people with this issue with as little as 1500km on their turbos. Took my stock turbo to be modified at GT PUMPS & he currently has 4 of them that are leaking oil the only fix is to convert them to Journal bearing. I spent $2700 on a turbo that done 3000km and isnt worth its weight in scrap VERY disappointed as it took them months to build it and its f**ked in less time than it took to be built

No alot of hate actually Mat

Looking forward to your results Brad. Even though my love for FP is all but gone

Evo 9 Turbo Kit Sydney
Mick_o replied to Mick_o's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
This kit is good for 320kw with full boost at around 3600rpm. This turbo is capable of turning all 4 wheels it under acceleration! -
Taking a long shot trying to sell an Evo turbo on a skyline Forum but its worth a try! With much disappointment im looking at offloading my turbo setup as a complete package ONLY. Kit consists of the following. FP green DBB turbo with turbosmart 22psi actuator which has done well under 3000km running 22psi of boost its whole life thus far. This turbo was literally the last green to come out of their factory with MHI housings. How do i know this? FP had to confirm if they had a housing left before building this turbo for me as production of the SS housing turbos had gone under way. Turbo will also come with plazmaman cast turbo outlet and custom made SS short route hotside pipe painted black (has 2 bends less and is around 200mm shorter than OEM) made by yours truely Toxic fab manifold unsure of what version it is (not a billet collector) but its what you would come to expect from a toxic fab manifold. QUALITY! J speed dump pipe. Again high end stuff. $3000ono Yes its damn cheap I know as there is probably around $5000 worth of gear to buy brand new here so whats the catch?! Well gentleman & ladies if there is any here This turbo leaks oil in true FP style BUT is in perfect working order apart from this fact. I have installed a catch can on my car but i haven't put my car back together as im choosing to go EFR as i don't want to waste anymore time pulling my car apart AGAIN and spending anymore money on this turbo So im pricing this accordingly for the cost of a rebuild. Mark at GT Pumps will convert this back to JB for around $1100 i believe so i think getting a brand new green for around $2200 with a GT pumps warranty is a pretty sweet deal! But hey if you already have a nice catch can setup you might strike it lucky and purchase this turbo and it doesn't leak oil which would be a massive win for you!! Not looking to sell parts separately at this stage and price is very negotiable! Stupid lowball offers of $2000 or less will come with a F#%@ You reply! This setup is still on my car currently and will be removed upon purchase. Pm me for more details and i can send pics via MMS etc. Sorry about the long drawn out post thanks for looking! Cheers Mick_O

New Garrett Turbos In The Pipe ?
Mick_o replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I think Garrett turbos are dead this is their attempt to shut PTE out of the market with cheaper turbos. Only gotta look at their sizing to realize who they are having a crack at! Kinda sad that a company like Garrett are now literally giving up and attempting to undercut PTE & BW becoming "the poor mans turbo" so to speak Lift ya game garrett and do some f**king homework instead of delivering these "budget turbos" Thing is with these housing options it still requires other bits to bolt on which still doesn't make them a "cheap" alternative really -
