  1. This car was outspooling my dads 2.6L -9 setup by quite a fair whack! Im a response whore and like you not interested in a dyno queen & this car seriously impressed the hell out of me! A 7670 with 1.05 would be as good if not better spool up than the stock turbos IMO
  2. Lol i like the -9's on my old mans car but the 8374 is a good 600rpm more responsive from my experience
  3. Haha thanks CHRIS View very much noted and accepted as gospel as 8374 turbo is epic! Had the joy of going for a run in a car that had 1 strapped to it today Quite different to your car being 2.6L with V cam and 1.05 rear only running a baby 21psi with Ethanol on an "unfinished tune" (needs more injector) car made + or - in the 400kw zone but f**k me what an impressive turbo! For everything this setup had going against it (being boost limited unfinished tune not enough injectors etc) still impressed the hell out of me! EFR FTW!
  4. Hahaha i remember a certain somebody getting out of my "mans car" giggling like a little school girl after he'd driven it with the stock turbo and a dodgy E85 choon so it couldn't of been that bad? The 2.6L 8374 equipped missle i went in today certainly sealed the deal with everybody that went in it.. Including some pretty hardcore #twinturboGTR4lyf mofos! They even buried the notion of needing 2 turbos for response in this wonderful age of lightweight billet materials and black magic aerodynamics that make 1 turbocharger enough to tear ya face off from 4000rpm to redline (in 2nd gear) from a 800hp turbo Once you have been enlightened Micky the possibilities are endless While i can see you have a "purist approach" to your GTR's (which i respect) as every GTR I have been in and driven has been a twin turbo from Jez's car to piggaz car to my dads car! Which have all been amazing dont get me wrong! But remove that lil pipe that says twin turbo and it moves you into this marvelous era of modern day turbochargers Drive 1 and be enlightened in 2015 mate
  5. Depends on what single on what sized engine But im of the opinion you only need 1 GOOD turbo and its bye bye twins
  6. Lol i know you're not that was directed at Geoff
  7. Ouch! Yeah they are bad ass. I get em around my workshop in Londonderry. Ive stirred em up with twigs and you can actually feel how hard they bite through the twig.
  8. Yeah my cousin got bitten by those big suckers you could see the 2 holes where he latched on. Made him bleed too!
  9. Thanks for clearing that up Geoff the 3" exhaust would be hurting things alot at that power level. The RB this will be going onto is quite extensive also. 2.8L stroker big $$$ head etc so what would be your choice on the 8374 Geoff?
  10. Thing is those turbos are pretty big for a 2.6L & stock compression ratios. Even changing housings may only net you 500-600rpm (being optimistic) which still only brings you down to 5500. The 5's will net you over 1000rpm of response and probably pick up another 20 or 30kw up top if ya setup is good
  11. Why not go to 8cm housings instead? Might be the cheapest way out to pick up some response and the tune will probably only need a tickle up which may keep costs down too. The 5's will be the most responsive out of your options there. Are you purely a twins kinda guy?
  12. http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-dyno-tuning-results/705932-martin-s-9180-efr-1-45-twin-scroll.html Interesting that a 9180 with a 1.45 on a 2.4L evo is starting to choke?
  13. ^^Haha you're just jelly cause ive won the numbers game!
  14. Wonder how they are priced? Apparently they are alot noisier & pretty average in the wet compared to the hankooks. Not that any of the above faze me lol!
  15. I run mine at around 33-34psi and they seem pretty happy ar that Wait till you try them in the hills Marko very confidence inspiring!
  16. Let us know what you think of the Marko when ya rack up some k's on them?
  17. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/testDisplay.jsp?ttid=197&affiliate=EL1 For anyone else interested. Probably not Marko as he got his $1 specials already haha!
  18. Made up ya mind on what ya getting yet Marko? Lol
  19. I'd still say go with the hankooks mate ive personally never driven on the NT05's to know how much difference there would be between them. But i believe the hankooks would probably last alot longer as nitto use toyo rubber which is always a pretty soft compound.
  20. I can also vouch for the maxx sport TT had them on the evo when i bought it. They are a great all rounder too but i reckon i took them from around 65-70% rubber to the wear bars in around 4000km. That was spirited mountains drives mainly
  21. Ive heard blokes doing 12-15000 k's plus track days no worries on the RS3's. If its a weekend drive are you really gunna care about replacing tyres every 3 or 4 years? All you will care about is having the most grip ya can to make the most outta your toy when ya driving her Well i know i do anyways lol
  22. Maybe try these guys? http://www.alphaomegaracing.com/
  23. Whats the setup you wanna adapt and onto what car?
