  1. Full race manifolds are stainless steel and robotically welded so the finish is very good. While 6 boost manifolds work well I think they are poorly fabricated. Weld quality is crap elbows not lined up properly etc and obviously they are only carbon steel. A properly back purged full penetration stainless manifold will NOT crack like alot of the china rubbish you hear about.. The other makes I cant comment on as I have never seen them in the flesh. As a pipe fitter welder by trade the full race manifold has a much nicer finish.. Unsure of fitment but heard few dramas with 6 boobs lately
  2. Dude you have MORE THAN ENOUGH to buy something newer and nicer than that old turd burger! If you dont want a super laggy turbo then this ISN'T the turbo for you! If you think $3300 is cheap for an OLD school used turbo it isnt lol.. If you have $3300 to burn now save another $700 and get a new 6466 and manifold and gates etc.
  3. I think the 3076 would be too small mate. The HTA3582 seems to spool very similar to a 3076 from all accounts so yes HTA 3582 would be AMAZING on a 3.0L I even think the 3586 would be damn nice on the street! I would also be inclined to try FP's new .85 housing for nice flow up top on the 3.0L Let us know which path you choose as your setup sounds nice!
  4. Would you consider an R35 GTR Pete? By the time you spend the money and root around building a 3.2L you're probably better off selling ya 34 and putting the cash ya gunna spend on that motor into a 35 in my opinion. Its a decade newer. More refined car with nicer interior etc and you will have ALL the torque you need with a 3.8L Also with an Exhaust and a tune you will probably see around the 380kw zone. I think its a big gamble spending 20-30K on something you MAY NOT even be happy with still? Then you've got the driveline issues to chase with the bigger torqueyier motor too and that can be another 20K easily! I think its crazy throwing around 100K (including car purchase) on it when you could have a horny as hell 35 with all the creature comforts and torque you seek all in a much newer nicer package for probably the same money at the end of the day with a lot less drama too. My $0.02
  5. Lol why 7's? Throw them in the bin! -9's for the win im sorry! Same response more power!
  6. That looks HEAPS better than the current shape IMO!
  7. Pete you contradict yourself with wanting to keep costs down then want to build a stroker. Thats crazy! A better flowing exhaust will net you at least 200-300rpm of response depending on HOW restrictive your current exhaust is. If the 333kw sheet is the 6262 result. That turbo has not even woken up yet turn up the boost and you will get more torque and a beefier midrange! Hell even adding a V cam would be cheaper than building a stroker which would probably yield you another modest 200- 300rpm of response. What boost control are you running? How well is it setup? Different cams would also help response and midrange power and shift your power curve to the left which is seemingly where you want it. Are you running a twin scroll twin wastegate setup on the turbo? What size is the rear housing? Alot of factors could help improve torque and response of your current setup without going to that extreme. Optimize what you have 1st before emptying your wallet into Jims account to build you a stroker. Feel free to PM me to answer my questions if you like. At the end of the day a 3.2 will obviously make more torque but in my opinion your setup sounds as though its got some bugs which need ironing out 1st so sort them out and look at the above mentioned things and I dare say you will be happy with your current setup once its all running in harmony with a nice efficient setup.
  8. Hahaha! Wow! Didnt say how many?
  9. Damn it Mark ya stringing us out man! Good things come to those who wait! Pretty confident its gunna be ALOT of fun!
  10. I think you should of gone the 3071 if you wanted more mate My car was well sorted and I only went 288kw knocked back to 278kw on around 23psi on quite a low reading dyno with the 3071 and you have 4mm less of compressor so dont know what that will equate to.. Apart from ALOT of fun as I think its gunna be all in around 3500
  11. Thats a bummer Mark looking forward to seeing your results My guess is you will see around 250-260kw if your setup has a good exhaust and intake system. Good luck & looking forward to your driving impressions
  12. ^ shit just got serious! ^
  13. I agree with Lith must have a restriction somewhere still or maybe boost leaks?Wouldn't think at that kinda boost would be falling off like that up top
  14. Take it to someone with a tig welder weld a piece of bar to it and weld a handle on the other side of the bar ive saved heaps of people $300 for a mechanic to drill out the nut
  15. Epic result Mitch must be an animal? That on a 3.4L? Is it in an R?
  16. Also agree! Ethanol is night and day from idle to redline and my fuel consumption has always been very respectable too. Couple of months ago I done 380+km outta a tank in the evo and I was somewhere in between quarter of a tank and empty. Reckon I coulda done a smidge over 400km. Which is about 30km less than the best tank I got on 98 when the car was 100% stock... Evo tank is only around 50L which I thought was quite impressive
  17. A GTX3071R wont go 300kw on petrol unfortunately I went 288kw
  18. Dude seriously you expect to come on the internet and get somebodies map that they paid a tuner $600-$1000 for nothing?
  19. I dare say that if you were looking for work in Oz Bart you would be better off on the east coast probably here in Sydney as there is more tuning shops here (to my knowledge) and if you couldn't find a job in Sydney (which I very much doubt) you're right in the middle so you could head north or south easy enough to find some work! Good luck!
  20. You got 6 kids Mick pretty sure you loved into your wife successfully!
  21. Ahhhh disco if you only accepted my offer to have a drive of my car before I sold it and it was written off? I miss my 33
  22. Im quite curious to see how the 3067 will turn out for you Steve. The GTX3071R IWG setup in my old car was an absolute cracker on the stock manifold. I honestly wouldn't do anything any differently if I had my time again In 2nd gear if you wanted to it would light up the tyres at 3800 and pull quite aggressively to my 7200 rev limit, shift gears and it was straight back on again. Even when short shifted well before the limiter! Just wondering why you wanna use a big $$$ manifold and gate setup if youre only capping yourself to 15psi? What size rear housing are you planning on using and what fuel are you using mate?
  23. Dale was 1 of the few people to drive my car. Did you think there were any areas where my car could've improved?
  24. Wolverine had a T3 on his car with a 3076 strapped to it
