  4. Woo, was thinking of posting a new page since i'm soon to be in japan, this next friday for the next 5-10 years|-) will be looking for a car *just a run around probably k-car for now when i get there* Living with my wife's family *yay* In Machida Prefecture, so close to Yokohama, Ad me on line/fb (zachariah109) if anybodies keen to drag me along on a meet up night around the area or just to get in contact with another ozzy over there will chip in for fuel money and snacks!
  5. After a Painful and Pleasurable couple of hours reading the build, I'd have to say this is a work of art with craftmanship and care i haven't seen before. Hope the best for your next stage and keep me posted
  6. above the draining point, but higher the faster it will drain away as more gravity is pulling on the oil. *draining point: sump plug *best place IMO: infront of the radiator drivers side *high as you can* Hope that helps.
  7. sounds like gasket problems mate, sorry
  8. Howdy gents. I'm Trying to make a list, and get abit more info on what everybody is using for oil fuel and air filters. Whats your favorite? How often do you replace them? What oils do you use with it? Do you stick to one distributor, one brand of petrol? What boost are you running? How often do you check ? have checked.. on these? *tried something else* Have you had problem/s? Eg, Fuel blockages, Gains/Drops in oil pressure, noticeable lack OR gain in idle or Rev's? Anything relevant, no "Oh these cu*ts are shit" Please keep it relevant and useful for everybody. I know alot of guys will use The off the shelf, but i want to know what the pickier bunch are using..
  9. Good thread to read, and when spending 20k on an engine, have a few good talks to your tuner. No half an hour later he has a 20k job sitting on his lap. Talk to the guy building the engine, ask how many Rb's he's built. Or if he's been rebuilding ford's forever.. The most helpful guy will be the bloke actually rebuilding it. *not the guy at the front desk selling you shit* Do yourself a favour go direct to the guy your dealing with, don't get a workshop who gives the job to someone else. It will take longer in the end. and you may not *not saying you won't* be happy with the end result. Just my few cents from experience. worth the hassle if you want quality results "you" are happy with.
  10. Nah tidy as in no dents etc, pics look alright, thanks hopefully he'll decide by next weekend has a r32 he's also looking at.
