  1. Justin, It's the angle of the photo it's really about the same, your car is longer...mine is higher. The BNR32 is not much larger either... Length: BNR32: 4545mm, HCR32: 4530mm, CP9A: 4350mm (Skyline longer) Width: BNR32: 1755mm, HCR32: 1695mm, CP9A: 1770mm (E5 wider) Height: BNR32: 1340mm, HCR32: 1325mm, CP9A: 1415mm (E5 higher) Front track: BNR32: 1480mm, HCR32: 1460mm, CP9A: 1510mm (E5 slightly wider) Rear track: BNR32: 1480mm, HCR32: 1460mm, CP9A: 1495mm (E5 slightly wider) Wheelbase: BNR32/HCR32: 2615mm, CP9A: 2510mm (Skyline longer) Same with the BNR34 and E7/8, they are actually very close in size even though the GT-R looks like it is so much larger. Length: BNR34: 4600mm, CT9A: 4490mm (GT-R longer) Width: BNR34: 1785mm, CT9A: 1770mm (GT-R slightly wider) Height: BNR34: 1360mm, CT9A: 1450mm (E7/8 higher) Front track: BNR34: 1480mm, CT9A: 1515mm (E7/8 slightly wider) Rear track: BNR34: 1490mm, CT9A: 1515mm (E7/8 slightly wider) Wheelbase: BNR34: 2665mm, CT9A: 2625mm (GT-R slightly longer) it's pretty much even throughout the model range except perhaps for the whale...I mean BCNR33 Post up also some of the metal birds taking off edit: Boys...October 8,9,10,11 is a long weekend...East meets West! Let's organise one.
  2. Yukio you got it easy, I pay double that for 300 plates...39,000yen...and I don't drive a GT-R. I think next bracket up for 300 plates is 2.0-2.5L or maybe 2.0-3.0L which is 46,000yen. Dave, try 250km city for me, highway is better..off boost dead on 500km.
  3. what dave said, but he forgot to mention petrol ain't cheap in a turbo car
  4. ohh he done it to all the cars too... also like the wheels on the GT-V
  5. Dave, love that shape accord mate...good choice. also your plates look a little dirty on the skyline. Yukio, thanks mate your GT-R looks smick with those nice wheels...LOL about the shop Justin has Kobe plates, the only plates people want over here Amaru, thanks
  6. thanks this is even more sexy...AE86 owned by my good mate and mechanic. http://pforums.company-hosting.com/forums/...achmentid=16446 http://pforums.company-hosting.com/forums/...achmentid=16448
  7. Closest I have in meeting one, well they looked like Yakuzas. Black Cima in left lane pulled into my lane at the intersection...the car in front of the Cima was turning left, so he must have got impatient. Anyway the Cima nearly hit my car, so I beep...just after the intersection the Cima stops right in the middle blocking both lanes. Driver and front passenger gets out, askes me why I beep...naturally I stayed in my car and explained his manoeuvre was dangerous and he didn't even check or use his blinkers...almost took me out. Driver keeps shouting at me and waving his fist. His mate was in the meantime was checking out my car...their Cima wasn't exactly the best looking condition. I was kinda shitting if they were going to take out a baseball bat and pound my car. I then started speaking English...they hate that. Also because the Cima was blocking traffic...others behind started to beeping and yelling at them. They then shouted to everyone to STFU and the driver pointed hard for a few secs at one of the drivers (car) that was shouting at him. He obviously wasn't in a good mood, they then got back in the Cima and sped off at about 100km/h+ it seems, we were in a 40km/h zone. Got to really watch out for Kansai Yakuzas, I know I will keep my beeping to cars I can see through their tint... I told my mate then next day and he said yeah recently they been reports of them doing stupid things and causing trouble...this was last August 2003. Maybe the Cima just got thrashed by an opposing Yakuza party...cos it looked pretty bunged up!
  8. Paint is real smick...picked her up with Justin on Saturday night. on Mt Rokko before typhoon 16 arrived..
  9. Dave don't be angry, I know I should have asked you first...:( I'm sure Kayo won't mind.
  10. Dave, OK let's go halves...let's sell our cars and we should be able to makeup for just over half the cost...whoever find the other 3Mil can get to keep the car at their place for 3/4 of the year. Unless Justin can make up 1/3 of the cost then we all share her
  11. now that is a very quick car...was 7th quickest IIRC last year and the only Silvia in the top 10. Justin, what you doing tonight? dinner?
  12. Gary, you got my PM, so you know they can be bought for that much at the Auctions now. Certainly every now and then, someone get's a really good deal on a car. As for the front bar I was thinking it looks like a G-square front bar http://www.g-corp.co.jp/g-square/nissan/st...ge/stagea-1.jpg but on closer inspection it looks more like a modified EAST BEAR front bar.
  13. USS just down the road from my place and I do mean just down the road...just 10 minutes drive. The k's maybe the reason but still very cheap...for a manual, mate picked up a 99 Auto RS Four with 28,000km in Jan for 2Mil Yen. I'd also guess prices must have come down now since the new Series 2 M35 are out.
  14. 23k is cheap...how are the kilometers?
  15. Popular doesn't mean people tune them... I have to kinda agree I have not seen too many tuning shops specialise in WRX/STi over here compared to the other performance cars. Just flipping through HyperRev, shop demo cars seem to be on the mildly tuned side compared to what you see in the HyperRev for Supras, RX-7, Skylines/GT-R, Silvia, MR2s and Evos...tuning them out to 700++ps Also parts will always be more readily available for performance cars which are more popular. I still wouldn't mind a early WRX wagon...with STi internals power and lightweight
  16. I suggested the solenoid because you said you didn't think you had a leaky hose, which is largely what fails over time...and I have known a few even the best. Fair enough, my experience with the unit was perhaps different.
  17. You said it...2nd most...so which is the first! I just can't see how a dirty filter could spike that much 0.2bars and I'm serious. I guess small spikes isn't my concern...but 0.2bars I certainly would be.
  18. Here I'm... The WRX/STi are popular in Japan, they are light and make just as much horsepower as every other sports car...only thing is they are not as popular as the Evos....why? Well I don't want to sound like a bias Evo owner but purely the fact the Evos dominance and success left the STi living in the shadows throughout the 90's. Obviously the last couple of years they have lifted their game, both in performance and motorsport indicating they no longer want to be seen 2nd best. As you know Japan loves circuit racing and while the WRX/STi are great circuit cars, they still haven't been crowned the circuit king...yet to break the all famous Tsukaba time battlen record. While on the other hand the Evo de-throned the god or Japanese driving machine the GT-R. IIRC back in 99, the JUN Evo then ran a 1min 5sec or something I forget to beat the Mines BNR32 and since that day no other car except the Evo has held and continually improving that record .
  19. Mr. Karow has all my skyline books...but I believe Justin is right about the front bar...Gracer or ASR. As for the bonnet I think it's an ABflug or STOUT...try looking up their website
  20. 180SX Type II CA18DET stopped production end of 1990.
  21. Perhaps, but I don't think so...the filter is so dam bloody small. More than likely it will make boost creep a fraction higher but not spike as you describe. I'd still say check your solenoids first.
  22. yes, which is my point...you don't need a filter!
  23. Yeh I like the new refreshing interior which is similar across new model lineup. Basically he said he didn't like it because it was too symmetrical.
  24. this is FF and this came in both FF or 4WD now what's more interesting is how some of you still think street racing is not dangerous
  25. LOL...some of you children spend way way too much time browsing Japanese websites. No wonder you all know so much more about Japan than I do. Mr Karow, will know what I'm talking about
