  1. Have no fear I am prepared with the necessary tools to swap springs and know of the power stored in them. I have swapped springs before but was more looking for tricks to know to make it easier for my car as I haven't done it on any nissan
  2. Hey I have recently bought a set of Dobi lowering springs (35mm) for my R33 GTS25 (2dr). I figured I would look for some second opinions on how to swap out the springs before I free wheel it. I have had a reasonable look but is there already a tutorial to swap out the springs? or can someone help me out with a basic run down? I would love a way that didn't involve removing the rear seats and parcel tray but I realise I can't always have it my way. Cheers!!
  3. Ha yea I had someone else mention aluminum welding so I think that is the route I will take. Pretty keen to make sure my boot lasts through summer though so I'm waiting till next year before I get to it I think (unless I can get a cheap scrap boot in reasonable condition) I still think itd be a sick look so if/when I get round to it I'll post up here. But if anyone beats me too it im happy to hear tips
  4. Well Im in wellington, Got a R33 GTS25 with RB25DET and GTR bodykit
  5. Essentially what I'm reaching for is over 250 rwkw, So I suppose the best question is, Will I require either or both of these to attain this goal? or what are peoples preference to this? Also is there a quick how to guide for the Crossover pipe removal? Everytime I look at it it just seems a much bigger task than you say
  6. Ahh thank you very much!!! I now Understand the Top Mount part, but am more lost ont he front facing plenum, Im assuming you have a front facing plenum so would you say it is still more advantageous to have? I just am nto lookign forward to the day I have to change a plug and have to go through a significant amount of unbolting to do so.
  7. Basically I want to know what the point of having a top mount system for the turbo improves? Do people just get it for look so show off their turbo or does it actually improve any performance? Or is it also a bit like the front facing plenum where some people get it just because they like the ease of access to parts. Cheers
  8. Touche, I'm currently searching around for a a welder I can borrow for said jobby, but if it gets to hard then Drift lip may have to be the basis of my work. Sketched it up with light cardboard a while ago but forgot to take photos, But when the weather shines up I'll do it again so people can see what I'm aiming for more clearly.
  9. Haha cheers man, budget has taken a turn for the . . well not best. But as soon as I find headway with this I'll chuck up where I'm at
  10. Ha cheers man, not a huge fan of the flush look though im more after the old school cadi tail fins type thing, just a much smaller skyline version
  11. I'll admit I hadn't thought about welding in metal but wont that weigh several tonnes? Would be easier to get accurate though. Ha I may be hard to please but the straight flush boot just looks . . . odd to me. So I thought I'd have my hand at something a little different, I considered getting a Drift lip and chopping out the middle and moulding that in but I didnt want to ruin a perfectly good spoiler. I may at the moment be able to get me a cheapo boot lid though so dependant on that I may mock it up and see how it looks, I reckon itd be good to have something different
  12. Right for starters I currently have my 2 door GTS25 R33 without a spoiler so the boot is sitting low. Im really not a huge fan of spoilers allthough I understand the benefits they can give. What I do want to do its essentially slope the sides of the boot lid so that they come up to reach the side of the rear quarters. The photo I have added is of a WRX Boot lid and is essentially what I want my boot lid to look like so the sides slant up. What I am looking for however is tips on how people think they would do this themselves? looking for some sound advice because as much as I have access to spare r33 bootlids I'd be happy to get it right first time. My original thought was stagger duck tape to get the right slant and height then bondo the shape and sand it in, So you may see why I need help. Cheers
  13. Slash an easier way I have just thought to describe this would be the drift spoiler but only the sides not the rear middle section
