A few of us are coming over in January, does anyone know where I can buy E85 in Launceston? I know United have pump fuel south of Hobart, but I think that is the only place. Any help would be appreciated.

I'd be interested in your feedback on the upgrade. I agree, the OEM sound is crap.

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports 285/35/20" and 335/30/20" on 10"/12" wheels. (Less than 1% difference) I am really impressed with them as an allround tyre, comfortable with plenty of grip. Sounds like you've already decided on what you want.

The Balwyn United does have E85.

For what it's worth I'm pretty sure there is an answering machine if they can't get to the phone but yeah keep trying.

You're right, they are probably too busy to pick up the phone, they started back on Monday and have quite a few cars in there.

How did the R35 go?

I had a few hours spare yesterday and came down to watch the middle three runs when it was pretty damp. It looked like there was a heap of standing water in most of the corners, which wouldn't have been much fun. Good style points Richo, very entertaining! The local car club have put together an awesome facility, what do you guys think of the layout?

Looks like fun...good luck with the mods. With your Advan/Michelin combo: is there any rubbing on the guards?

I'm not looking to order those wheels either but I am interested in whether or not there are any clearance issues with the tyres, as I also have Swift Springs fitted. I have had the springs on mine for almost a year and would say they make the ride a fraction firmer than OEM in each setting. I've had no problems with them, the car seems to handle just as well as before but I don't track it so maybe there are differences there when the car is pushed real hard. I'm lucky in that I can get in and out of my place without worrying about scraping but you do need to be much more aware of the lower height in general driving. Having said that I haven't touched anything since they were fitted. The car looks heaps better lowered and I would definitely fit them again in the future. Domino you are welcome to take my car for a drive next time we meet up, if you're concerned about ride quality.
