  1. if you were in Melbourne i'd be down for it... I like the look of the 400R, nice and neat, as well as low and fat. Oh well... have you got some other pics of it though? just incase a mate in sydney wants it? Also, what's the rear spoiler? what brand low boot lip is it? Cheers, Andrew
  2. same way you got the oil pump off... tap it off with a hammer. You'll need to take the little key out (the little metal bit that stops the gear spinning on the crank shaft). But have some wood between the hammer and the crank gear cos you don't want to damage the teeth.
  3. bump... had plenty of offers but no one can fullfill their offer till after exams
  4. it's reliable... just a bit slow. It miss fires a bit on cylinder 6, but i've driven it like that for 3 months now with no problems etc. I've been offered $800, and would like to get rid of it ASAP as i don't really have the space for it now. Andrew
  5. cool about time there was another good cheap plugin ecu. The older wolfs were a little shit, but i've heard the v4's are good. Dunno how they go with fuel economy, heard the microtech uses more, and can't remember if i've heard the same about the newer wolf's
  6. how does it go with running all the factory items eg aircon, etc. The PFC is great cos the general running of the car feels like the factory ecu is still fitted.
  7. hahaha... fair enough! I wish i had mates that would buy me cars I don't have any pics at the moment. But I'll see if i can get some tomorrow. Have to see if i can borrow a mates digi cam and email them on to ya. Cheers, Andrew
  8. oil and water pump should be usable, as will the harmonic balancer (mine was cracked so am still looking for one!)
  9. Got a Gold Cressida that i use as a run about. She's automatic and slow but does get from A to B no worries. $18 to fill the LPG tank and i get between 330-370km's out of it. Also has a switch to run petrol which gives that extra bit of power And speaking of power... it has super light power steering too!!! Interior is in quite good condition for its age and the STEREO system pumps hard out of the in-dash central speaker. A true Pimpin' Chapel Street Cruiser I've driven it since June and haven't had any problems apart from a couple minor things (locked myself in and out a couple of times, i'll fix the lock before selling it), forgot to check the radiator water level and the temp rose past half way, so had to wait half an hour at the supermarket carpark and treated her to a $3 natural spring water top up. It's registered till May next year and i'll grab a RWC for it too. LPG conversion was done in 1997, and new windscreen not long ago. I've got all the receipts from what's been replaced and any work done on it. Could do with a coat of paint, but for this sort of car i wouldn't bother... just get the high pressure cleaner onto it every once in a while to remove any clear coat flakes So if ya after a second car or something to tie you over till the paper work is finalised on ya brand newie... this could suit you! $900 Cheers, Andrew
  10. yeah i just borrowed Rossco_Grey33's stock cat back... pulled 84db so no drama's there. Just gotta find the time to swap it back now! (thanks again ross for the lend)
  11. 300hp or kw? it should do 300kw easy if you have the fuel supply to cope with it.
  12. For those going with aftermarket pistons. Do you get domed or dished pistons? Cos i worked out that 6cc domed pistons will mean that you get a compression ratio of 9:1. It also means that you don't have to spend big modifying the RB25DE cylinder head and only have to machine it 0.5-1.0mm. That's with a 1.2mm head gasket and 87.5mm bore.
  13. yeah... there is a chip in the side of it where the aircon belt goes. You can remove that pulley section and have it rebalanced. It would also be lighter. If you can find me a non damaged working RB25(det) harmonic balancer, you can have the one i've got and i'll give ya $20 extra as well. Dunno how much shipping to and from sydney would be though. Cheers, Andrew
  14. what's the standard ride height from center of hub to guard? Cheers, Andrew
  15. I've been offered $300 for gearbox, and clutch/flywheel (which i was asking $480 for both) Any offers over $350 and i'll take it. Need to get rid of them.
  16. Sorry dudes... my mate posted this from my PC... i forgot that i log in automatically. But HE will be in japan next week. I wish i was!!! He drives a 300ZX, but is getting me some go fast goodies I'll be there around feb/mar next year though! Thanks Rezz, i'll let my mate know.
  17. Tokyo Motor Show i mean... http://www.tokyo-motorshow.com/show/2003/e...BLIC/index.html Dunno about the D1, but was told it's at the end of October so i'll find out once i'm there. Thanks for the link, but i don't speak japanese
  18. Well i'm heading to Japan next week and would like to get a few things while i'm there like cam sprockets, indicators, boost controller etc. Things i can fit in my bag and bring home. I'll be in Osaka, then Kamakura, then Kyoto, then Kobe, then Himeji then Tokyo. Anyone know of any good cheap places that sell second hand or new stuff? I'll be there for the Tokyo Auto Salon and the D1 Drifting comp... so it should be good Thanks Andrew

  20. Power FC is as capable as the tuner behind it. It's a full plug and play replacement. The standard ecu should be fine for run in etc, as most of it's controlling duties are with the rest of the electrical system and cylinder head. Get a GTR pump and fuel regulator, and if you can get some RX7 13BT 550cc injectors they would fit. The standard sump should be fine, if you are going to race it often then maybe look at an aftermarket sump, but i'd go an oil cooler as well if that was the case. There is a mob that does oil coolers pretty cheap, i forget the name but someone here will know. Get one that has a thermostat in it so that when you are just cruising around, the oil bypasses the cooler. Just means the engine warms up quicker and stays at it's optimum operating temp. When you start giving it a bootful and the oil heats up, the thermostat opens and oil goes through the cooler.
