  1. i got an EPA notice. Reported by a cop i drove past as he was getting out of his car... i was doing 50k/hr in 4th, and my exhaust isn't loud at all... so that's gonna shit me taking it in to be tested. Cost me $27.50 as well...
  2. i got the Classic Black tint on the moving windows and the 20% on the back and small quarter windows. Looks good, especially as the car is white, the black windows stand out more!!
  3. i can... i had it done and that's what the premier tinting guy told me when i dropped the car off... I got 20% on the back and rear quarter windows, and 35% (legal) on the side moving ones. If it bubbles they will replace it for free.
  4. nope... i was told that they can put what ever they like on the windows that don't move, ie back and quarter windows. The moving windows are 35% darkness to be legal, and they aren't allowed to tint the windscreen at all
  5. yeah... the reason is they use water to help the film stick to the window, they also use a glue. And they squigy it out but there is still some water left behind the tint. When the tint/glue cures it pulls onto the window and forces the water out through the tint as it's porous and all the littl bubbling disappears. They say if it doesn't they will do it again. I had my old shitty tint removed from the back window and quarter windows as it was too dark and going purple. I wouldn't have minded 20% all round but as skylines are fairly attractive to police i didn't want to get done becaus i had slightly darker tinting. And if you stack the car, the insurance companies are cracking down and testing window tints with a light meter and cancelling the policies... so you'll be left with no car! So i decided to go legal... you only need legal tint on moving windows, so the back and quarter windows were done with the darkest tint.
  6. well a mate of mine got his tinting done, looks like they did a fantastic job. They did 20% on the back and 30% on the sides (i think, might have been 35%). The tint was cut right to the edge of the window and an all round good job!
  7. i won't be... unless i can whore it up with someone my car has a sick cylinder 6... so only good for short drives!
  8. yeah i didn't want to rush into it, but my mate has booked our cars in on Monday... it comes with a life time warranty so if it stuffs up i'll just keep taking it back
  9. A mate told me that Premier are having a special on their window tinting, $100 for all windows. That's for the lower quality tint. If you want the high quality titanium metal tint, it will cost you $195, but that's still damn good. They even have a car collection service, not that i'd trust them driving my skyline!!! Just thought i'd let people know.... if anyone knows anywhere in Melbourne that's cheaper, post it up! Cheers, Andrew
  10. hahaha.... nice one
  11. I can't seem to access the other thread about the GOR Cruise at http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=22307 It says i don't have permission to access it. And in the normal vic section it says it's been moved. Anyone else get the problem? Cheers, Andrew
  12. where did it get moved to?
  13. i recognise the silver r33 gtr with the kakimoto wheels from the Dare Devil drive in meet!!!
  14. yes... i like white too white with gold wheels... Oooh, and i have one of just like that!!!
  15. what twin throttle bodies would you use? 2 smaller than stock, or just two stock ones? you could king of have it setup like the NEO 6, a throttle body feeding 3 cylinders each
  16. yeah... i understand that. But i was talking about the cut and shut of an RB25 plenum... they are designed to flow from the top, and from the factory flow pretty damn well. The subzero ones are $1200+ so you'd expect them to flow evenly.
  17. have a read through the 20 odd pages of this thread, it answers all your questions and will provide more information that you haven't thought off Standard turbo can be used, may be a little small you can keep conrods and crank shaft, but you may want to get them strangthened/balanced. RB25DET head is pretty much a straight bolt on if you don't want to use the Variable Vale Timing... but i strongly suggest you read this entire thread.
  18. yeah pm me too plz... i'm in that area looking for new suspension!!! Thanks Andrew
  19. If darrinspencer doesn't buy them, let me know. I'm in Melbourne. They work, but just dodgy glass? cheers, Andrew
  20. doesn't matter what size wheel you have, as long as the profile tyre is right. You can have a 19" wheel with a 20 profile tyre (if they exist), and that will be the same diameter across from tyre edge to tyre edge as a 15" wheel with a 90 profile... i know these aren't exact, but i'm just using them as an example. If you had a 19" with a 30 profile and a 15" with a 30 profile then the diameter's of each wheel from tyre edge to tyre edge will be different.
  21. I spose... but being new to ebay, and the lazy bugger that i am, i don't think i would bother fake bidding. And it's an a$$hole of a thing to do so i wouldn't. I've only sold 2 things on it anyway, and they were only DVD's!
  22. hehe... cool, i won't hesitate to post car relevant ebay items then!
  23. What do people think about others who come on the forum selling stuff and posting a link to ebay? I don't have a problem with it, cos it might mean that i get it cheaper than i expected, but i was wondering if anyone else cares. Cheers, Andrew
  24. what do you need 6 rings for? i thought you only need 4 rings
  25. Oh ok... i thought your prices were non including shipping. Do you do Cam/Cam Gear Kits? What about Tomei 260 degree 9.15mm lift Inlet and Exhaust Cams, and Cam Gears to go on both. This is for an RB25DE head. How much delivered to Oz? Does Tomei make cams for the hydraulic lifters in the RB25 head?
