If there are any that you want that aren't here let me know and i'll take a snap. calemb: that's a bit low, $110 and it's yours. Here is a link to a zipfile with the pics in it. Also how do you do the little thumbnail posts with all the pictures in it? Cheers, Andrew -
r33 wheels & injectors
GiJOr33 replied to Needajapcar's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
RB23DE injectors are 270cc, and RB25DET injectors are 370cc. I'm pretty sure they'll fit an RB25DE head. -
Blitz blow off valves
GiJOr33 replied to butthead's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'm surprised it hasn't gone yet. You got one left yeah? I've still got an adapter for $40 which allows you to fit this Blitz BOV to the stock BOV location. All you need to do is block the plumback pipe which is easy to do. -
Yes... the car is all working!!! cost me $670 though... had some cracked wires to the computer. The igniter wasn't grounding properly, the vacuum hose to a map sensor was stuffed... so a few hours spent sorting it out but it's all fixed. Chucked it on the dyno and set the max boost, gave it a quick tune to make sure everything is in check and pulled a nice 222kw at the wheels at 0.68bar (9.8psi)... so i'm pretty happy. All i need to do now is bigger pump and i should be able to get it up to 1.1-1.2bar and have some good power! Andy

Assorted R33/RB25 parts

ok, tomorrow i will break out the digi camera and post pictures of all requested parts! Edit: tomorrow (saturday 29th may) i promise will be picture day. I got my car back on the road so i've got some time. I'll take photo's of all parts on the list, and post them up. What's the easiest way to post them? how do you do the thumbnail posts? Andrew -
well after spending the whole day on it the mechanic found a few problems and in the end got it running. I'll post up what the problems were when i pick up the car and have a chat to him about it. I think it's going to cost me a hell of a lot though, so i'm not looking forward to the bill!!! And there is a bit more to do tomorrow, chuck it on the dyno and check the fuel ratios etc and just give it an all over check up to make sure everything is in check. At least my HKS computer isn't fried and the motor isn't blown! so thanks to everyone that gave suggestions on what to check. I tell ya, this whole engine transplant saga has meant i know the RB25 almost backwards now and would be confident to do it again. Just a shame the couple of places i took it to to do the things i couldn't (check A/F ratios and pull out the old motor and drop in the new) did a pretty half assed job job. Oh well... disappointing but i spose once you find a good mechanic you need to stick with them! Andrew

yeah i might go and get some actually. There's a fair few things you can use carby cleaner for! It leaves no residue doesn't it, like electrical contact cleaner or nulon brake cleaner?
-
ok cool... thanks for the tip. It's at the mechanics at the moment so i'll word him up on that area to check.
-
well i cleaned them on the wire brush wheel... very carefully with the platinum plugs and then just swished them around in some petrol.

Assorted R33/RB25 parts
GiJOr33 replied to GiJOr33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
it's the bit that goes onto the water pump that holds the radiator fan. The silver bit that looks like it's got little heatsink fins on it. It's the clutch unit that keeps the radiator fan spinning at a constant speed. -
No i haven't checked those as yet. How would i go about checking those to items you mentioned?

I swapped over the ECU today with another factory one. I have changed everything except for the HKS computer. I've changed crank angle sensor, coil pack igniter module, i've tested all the coil packs (all read 0.8 ohms), i've swapped over the factory computer with another one. So all that is left in the ignition circuit is the HKS FCON V, HKS VPC, and PFC-FCON and also the wiring loom. So either the HKS computer has crapped itself (or he fried it), or the current tune in it has been erased, or the wiring loom is damaged. Starting to piss me off. I wish i knew what this other tuning place had done to it... Andrew

yeah my mate has an adjustable thermo fan so his car doesn't over heat at all. We went for a burn through the black spur and temps were well in check on his after market water temp gauge

yeah my mate has a Targa Top 300ZX TT. Crazy car, fast, handles pretty well (mild suspension mods). But as it's been said... if there's any engine work to be done on it, generally they take the engine out of the car. It's just too hard to work on. And as it's a V6 Twin Turbo, you need two of everything, eg timing belts, turbos etc. I like my skyline, but also like the 300's. I'd just prefer to own the skyline.

Hey guys... i've been having a problem with my R33 GTST miss firing and running rich (wet plugs). I've changed coil packs, igniter module and crank angle sensor. Still no change. I am starting to think that perhaps my stock computer is buggered as i'm getting an Error 21 Ignition Signal Problem on the consult computer (at the mechanics). I have a HKS FCONV, VPC and PFC-FCON so i'm thinking that the signal that they are giving to the computer is not being interpreted properly. I spoke to a tuning guy and he thinks that it could be the computer if i've changed everything else. I've got it booked in on monday for him to look at but would like to try a computer swap this weekend. If anyone has a factory Series 1 R33 GTST Computer i could borrow till Sunday night that would be awesome... it would narrow things down further (and cost me less at the tuning workshop). My mobile is 0411 570 590, or send me a PM if you can help out. I can come and collect the computer anytime. I'm in Melbourne, in Camberwell, so someone over the east side would be preferable. Cheers, and thanks in advance Andrew.

PRICE DROP RB25DE Non Turbo Only Parts Fuel Rail, Regulator and Injectors - $90 Exhaust Manifold and heat shield - $35 Exhaust Front Pipe and heat shields - $35 Air Box - $25 RB25DET Turbo or RB25DE Non Turbo Parts These parts are suitable for either turbo or non turbo RB25 motors. I'm pretty sure all of them are interchangeable. If some aren't please let me know. RB25DE VCT Cylinder Head - This is the non-turbo variant which has lumper cams than the DET version and was going to be used for an RB30 conversion. I've spent $300 (I have receipts) on it to have it disassembled, cleaned, warp/crack/pressure tested and combustion chambers cc'd to get it ready to be ported and polished etc - $800 Alternator and Bracket - $90 Inlet Runners from head to plenum good for port matching to head(no water pipes) - $45 Manual Gearbox Starter Motor (might be usable on auto) - $60 Power Steering Unit (a bolt mounting hole has a crack and the pulley wheel is bent) $40 Turbo Oil Supply Line with heat shielding - $25 Coil Packs (6x), Wiring/Plugs and Alloy Brackets - $250 Water Pump Pulley Wheel - $15 Radiator Fan Clutch Unit - $30 R33 GTST Steering wheel Non Airbag - $75 Other Parts Set of 6 RB30 Rods - $95 RB25DE Non Turbo Bottom End (crank, pistons, rods, clutch/flywheel) - Was looking for $350 now want $225 RB25DET Bottom End (crank, rods, sump, oil pickup, oil pump, water pump). Pistons are damaged from detonation (leaned out injector i think), so would suit a rebuild. Good condition otherwise - Was looking for $500-550 now want $350 Take Both bottom ends for $525 PRICE DROP I'm happy to post any of the bits you need at the buyers expense. Or you can drop in and collect parts from my place. I'm in Melbourne, inner east. I would prefer the buyer of the engines to collect them as the cost of shipping them interstate would be about $100 to Sydney, around $160 to Brisbane and $100 to Adelaide so not really worth it. These are my shipping estimates from previously shipping an engine to Sydney. Here is a link to a zipfile with the pics in it (no pictures of cylinder head). Email me at asuggars@hotmail.com or send a PM Cheers, Andrew
