  1. actually, just 5 quick ones, these are what i'll be doing first thing in the morning Head Bolts, Inlet Manifold to head Inlet Plenum to Inlet Runners Exhaust Manifold to head Turbo to manifold Thanks Andrew
  2. mad... thanks heaps when i need them i'll write them all down and list them to save you from looking up the book heaps of times... i found the ones for the cam journals and just did them up to the same as the R32 GTR ones, i think they were 6.8-8.7 something (Nm or ftlb, unsure) thanks again!
  3. Yeah i did a search on the forum and found that site. I thought you'd say it was printed Oh well... i probably should have bought one before i started this!
  4. printed or digital? if digital, i would luuuurrrrvvveee a copy if printed, where did you get it and how much? i have the r32 gtr one.
  5. mad... thanks for the info! Everything is ready to go except for that!!! where did you get the info from?
  6. Just putting a cylinder head back together and i'm not sure what torque setting the big center bolt is supposed to tightened up to. Any ideas? Thanks Andrew
  7. Yeah i'll be going bigger. ARP head bolts
  8. On an RB30 i would consider anything over 8000rpm as high revs. From the reading i've done, anything under that i fine. An RB26 i would consider over 9000rpm as high revs. RB25 balancer will go on the RB30. All RB balancers do (i've been told by people i believe). I will know for certain in a week or so Andrew
  9. if you have rods, and pistons all balanced with the crank and flywheel/clutch then you should be able to take it past 7500 no problem. But the power levels will be big well before 7500rpm so you don't really need to take it past that. An Rb25 harmonic balancer is also a good idea, but as sydneykid will tell you, he uses new RB30 ones with no problems! Andrew
  10. No they don't fit the stock R33 spot. But I have an adapter if anyone wants it for $40. Cheers, Andrew
  11. what about if you are using a Tomei, HKS, etc headgasket?
  12. It's good to use VCT up to a certain horse power level (maybe 250rwkw???) with the standard turbo or a mild turbo upgrade, then after that you ditch the VCT and go with adjustable cam gears to get better results from different cams and bigger turbo kits.
  13. the RB25 Turbo bottom end. What does this come with and is there anything wrong with it?
  14. post up some pics of the rear bar dude!!!
  15. I have an OS Giken twin plate clutch in my car. Cost me $1000 second hand with 95% still on the plates. It cost me $200-$250 i think to have it fitted. I bought the thrust bearing from Nissan for $30. And quite frankly it's the best upgrade i've done to my car yet. It's still perfectly drivable, and has a slightly heavier feel to it (not overly), and once it's engaged there is no slipping what so ever!!! It sounds crazy when you have the clutch in as it has a quiet rattle to it which makes people look at you and thing "wtf is that?". I'd highly recommend one, and that's coming from a lazy driver who often doesn't concentrate on how i let the clutch out Andrew
  16. standard head gaskets are fine if you O-Ring the block. 7:1 comp is pretty low, must feel like a dog when you are off boost. You are right though, it will be happier with 2bar of boost compared to a 9:1.
  17. so you get rid of VCT after around 280rwkw and go with adjustable cam gears?
  18. i've heard that using a GTR regulator on a GTST is good to use if you aren't going higher than 550cc injectors
  19. $25 for both... you'll be very lucky to get $50. I've been quoted $30 from a wrecker for a pair of th em.
  20. i'm pretty much after just the engine and cylinder head. Don't need manifolds or anything else. Would you consider selling just the engine? if so, how much... and what's it's condition? has it had the timing belt etc changed?
  21. well you can buy the pistons locally from many performance places, and you'll have to get the block rehoned and pistons fitted regardless of whether you use stock ones or forgies. But from the 3 posts you've made i understand you don't want to go down the forged pistons road so i'll stop harping on the subject... just though i'd bring up that as an option.
  22. Does the RB25DE fuel rail use the same injector style as the GTR (i think it's top feed)? I know the RB25DET uses different injectors to the GTR, but i'll be using the RB25DE fuel rail and inlet manifold. It would be good if i could chuck in some GTR injectors or at least the same style (as they are cheaper).
