  2. They are brand new and the threads are mint. There seem like a lot of side ways pressure on the coilover which is stopping the thread from spinning easily. I also tried a separate jack on the hub to take a bit of tension up but no luck. Could it be anything to do with the s14 hub carriers being different to s13/a31? Thanks for the replies

  4. Hey guys, I recently got some new coilovers for my cefiro and I'm having some trouble adjusting the ride height on the rears. When they are out of the car they are really easy to spin the threaded part of the shock up or down in the body to adjust height but when they are bolted into the strut tower and onto the hub carrier the are super hard to spin with the adjusting spanners, the only way to spin them easily is with a long bar on the end of the spanners and it makes an awful squealing noise. I've CRC'd the thread but still the same. Seems like there's side ways pressure on the coilovers and it's not wanting to spin freely. Only suspension mods in the rear are adjustable camber and toe arms, gtr sway bar and s14 hubs. Sorry for the novel length post but any help would be great!

  6. Such a nice Cefiro, one of my favorites. Does your front bar have more room behind it than a s1 bar? I'm having problems fitting my lip as the bumper curves out to clear the cooler (which is mounted as far back as possible) and the lip won't mount onto it nicely
  7. Hey guys, I'm having trouble finding side skirts for my cefiro. Does any one know if r32 4door skirts will fit?
  8. Turned out to be a combination of things, igniter pack plugs were corroded, the connection between coil pack and the top of the spark plugs had been arcing badly and also a coil pack has shit itself. Thanks for the help guys
  9. i'll check the plugs, does it seem strange that it sounds like its running fine but is way down on power? it isnt doing a wrx impression anymore, but is real slow.
  10. Had a look at CAS and ignitor pack, from the outside the look fine. CAS hasnt moved, ignitor pack and plug look ok. could it be a coil pack or spark plug?
  11. thanks i will have a look, would this cause it to be so down on power? its weird because its never done anything like this before. Also the catch can seems to have filled up fairly fast since the last time i checked.
  12. Hi guys, today i was driving on the motorway and out of nowhere my ceffy starts sounding like a wrx?! i was like 1km away from the inlaws so i practically rolled to their place. It would run smoothly then start misssing on and off. So i left it for a while and a couple of hours later started it and it ran fine, so i took it for a drive round the block but it seems way down on power. Any help or ideas would be great as i have to drive 2hrs home tommorow. thanks
  13. Hey guys ive bought an awd rb25det (out of a stagea) to replace the trusty old 20det that currently lives in my ceffy. I've had the front shafts/diff taken out and the holes welded up, I know I have to use the rb20 engine mounts but what I want to know is will the sump foul on the sway bar? And Yes I have tried lots of searching but can't seem to find anything cefiro specific. Any help is much appreciated
  14. Put it up on my mechanic friends hoist the other night and he confirmed it is either the cam or crank seal. Decided not to bother fixing as I've got a s2 rb25det to go in soon. Thanks for the help tho mates
