Hi all, A few years ago one of the coil-packs in my 25GT went bad, so I replaced them all with yellow jackets. As such, I've got all 6, including the bad one (marked as faulty) sitting here. $100 (neg) pick up will get you all 6 with plugs (or just the 5 working ones if you prefer ) Pick up from Mosman 2088 or I can meet you at martin place during business hours Mon-fri. I wanted to note that the KM's are actually 130xxx, and that the car does need a little bit of aesthetic loving but I feel the price reflects that, full list. Dent / crack in rear bumper - pics in gallery. Some gutter rash on all wheels. Seats in reasonable condition but could do with a 'shampoo' / put a cover on them. Steering wheel leather coming off at the top. I really need to sell in the next fortnight - I'm moving interstate and have a car waiting for me on the other side. Throw your offers at me people!! Does that mean a turbo rebuild / replacement? I didn't get a chance to look over it this morning but will this arvo. Either way I've got it booked in with the mechs for Thursday morning to be safe. Will keep this thread updated!

Cheers for the quick response! Will definitely check all hoses in the morning. I'm *hoping* after seaeerching / reading around that it could just be an FM intercooler pipe that popped off? Would explain the pop and the noise.. fingers crossed. If not, how would I check the gaskets? Off to the mechanics I'm assuming?

Hi all, I recently bought another skyline, an r34 gtt.. it's been driving beautifully until tonight. I was on the way home and gave it a bit of a squirt, nothing crazy, but a reasonable amount of go.. when I shifted and revs came down to 'normal', there was quite an audible pop. Following the pop, for the next 5 minutes home, under any acceleration there was a high pitched whine from the engine bay. I didn't hammer it after this as I was bloody scared (I still am) that something has gone horribly wrong, but the turbo seemed to be spooling up okay, although from my boost controller it seemed to be coming up a little slower than normal (ie, under minimal load it would sit around 0, now it was sitting around -5 if that makes sense). When its light in the morning I'll check if any vacuum hoses have popped off.. seriously hoping that is all this is? What else could it be? Although I know it most likely is.. please don't say dead / dying turbo... How much is a replacement going to cost me? -_-

Little bit of a bump, big bit of a price drop - Now 11K Negotiable. This car needs to sell in the next 35 days before I go overseas!! Now 11k negotiable. Pics of front end available and I'll link in a few minutes. The pics make it look worse than it is though - The bumper is just sitting a cm or two low, mainly due to the headlights, but car comes with 2 extra headlights uninstalled anyway!

If anyone is interested or having similar issues, following advice here and elsewhere I bought and installed 6 new yellowjackets which fixed the mis-fire straight away and improved performance a teency little bit. Haven't had any issues since.

Specs: 1998 Nissan Skyline R34 25GT Black, 135,000km's, auto gearbox with tiptronic + steering wheel shift. Engine is stock minus 6 yellowjacket coils which fixed up a mis-fire problem I was having a while ago. Body is stock with wing. Interior is stock, except for LED map and dome lights and a clarion headunit WITH ipod connectivity and control, microphone near driver window for bluetooth hands free, mp3 connectivity, CD and radio. Butzi Racing ZR-01 flat silver+black rims. Mechanically perfect. Was in a 10km/h fender bender a few months ago in which the front bumper and reo bar copped a knock. I've sourced a new reo bar however the front end still sits a bit funny. Bought a new set of headlights as the tiny plasti mounting tabs were damaged in the accident however these are not fitted as of yet. Will come with sale. I need to sell before I leave on the 9 July, so in a few weeks it will go on ebay / carsales if there is no interest here. Hi all, In need of the reinforcement bar that sits behind the front bumper of an R34 GT / Assuming GTT will be the same. I noticed an old topic / just bumped it up where the guy ended up saying he could source one for purchase, so, if no-one has one for sale, any idea's (Other than wreckers, who I will call on Monday) where I could source this part from? Any chance you can tell me where you sourced/bought this bar from? I'm in need of exactly the same thing.. Primarily the centre, and headlight mounts but the whole thing wouldn't be bad I guess...

Yeah, ref first post when I said i "Shorted the consult port" this was the paperclip method. As mentioned got error code 21 consistently. This is what I'm thinking. Probably order some from performance wise during the week. Only thing I'm unsure about at the moment is whether I should install them myself or not. The N/A how to looks somewhat complex removing all the hoses and intake manifold :S Also semi-mechanically retarded, however I've always been meaning to learn more and this may be a perfect time to? Got the changing coil packs guide so should be okay... will need to look up how to change the plugs once all is out... I'm assuming you need more than a socket set to get the plugs themselves out lol.
