I think the gasket kit for the turbos didn't come with one for obvious reasons but I just think it was overlooked because of that reason. not exactly sure. and there's a lot of burning coming off the turbos as in smoke, would that just be due to touching every part numerous times with oily hands and it's simply just burning off??

Cheers guys !! Sled it's getting looked at right now, but the owner is a mechanic and we had another mechanic look at it last night, it could quite possibly be the exhaust manifold gaskets as when the new turbos were put on the old manifold gaskets weren't replaced (all other gaskets were though)

So is there any other possible explanation?? or what should we do take the turbos out again and have a look ?

Well then were back to square 1 ! Any ideas what the squealing is? Turbos still work and boost but a really bad high pitched squeal everytime. Very very loud

thanks steve and luke.. we left it idling in the driveway for about an hour once first started up, and drove it gingerly for the 5 k's , but you still think the squealing is because we didnt prime them and the turbos are stuffed because of a split second without oil??

installed two gt 2860 -5s in an r32 gtr and took it for a drive tonight, 5 k's or so it was fine, til it started making this high pitched squealing sort of noise. freaking out we thought it was the turbos gone because of an oil block or something. had 3 of us look over everything in the engine bay for undone clamps, oil leaks etc... nothing everything was put back on the turbos correctly, oil change was done before first run, (car had been on stands for about 4 months due to installing new clutch and turbos) one guy that looked at said that because the gearbox was taken out the engine had to slide back, which could have crushed an oil line perhaps?? old turbos (stock) ran 11 pound these run 14 so its nothing to do with that? high pitched pressure squeal? but we really think its the turbos, we didnt pre - lube the turbos with oil either. which some people tend to do. car is being looked at tomorrow but if anyone has any thoughts or ideas help is definitely appreciated ...

Absolutely wicked looking red 32r on Brighton road driven by an elderly man. Could've been sprayed candle apple red not sure but was definitely not standard colour. And just saw vu's 32 parked on jetty road... Good to see it close up looked nice (y)

Oh and a white 33 gtst with black rims, offset and stretched tyres dumped on it's ass which made for an insane look. Sat next to a nice white s14 in tafe carpark all day

Three 34s at Marion shopping centre right now, 1 blue 2door gtt, a silver 4 door girl driver and a white 4 door which was Behind me outside of Marion all looked nice

keen to go in a 33 gtst? you can even drive it if youd like. its got pimp gold interior. youd like it.

ive seen it, sat in it and my mate has been in it, the previous owner was in debt for 70 grand because of two blown engines if im correct with my facts. having said that though its a monster, used to run 320kw , obviously not now we had a little race in my mates 32r that was running 274kw and it was a good 50 meters ahead after about 10 seconds haha. and this was when sniper was running its supposedly 'safe tune' its got perfect paint and a nice match with the volks. the engine is a worry imo that is all. shane sold it to matt and soon after that the engine blew, from then on it was a money pit for matt and hes still in serious debt from the car.

hmmmmmmm... i went n saw this car just before you bought it. and i know a fair bit about the car... having said that, this car has history being shane's first 32r and is still impressive..

well mine is pretty simple so far... i bought a burgundy r33 gtst with a silly veilside bodykit, it was way too low and was a monstrosity, which resulting in me buying a whole new stock series 2 kit, seeing as my roof was fading and bonnet needed attention aswel as the new kit, a full respray happened. before this i bought a new dump pipe and high flow cat, after the spray i bought a new xforce cat back exhaust with electronic varex cannon as it was straight 4inch piping which sounded amazing and loud, but was not good for cop attention. and in the last 6 months of owning it ive bought odds and ends for the cosmetic side of things, like series 2 steering wheel, nismo indicators, etc etc.. never touched the engine because it was always in top nick, and now its going to be up for sale soon so i can upgrade to a gtr!!!! and also, how do you guys post pictures that size and that quality? ill post some of mine if ii can figure it out.
