  1. I had monoflex coilovers on my 350z. I used to drift and grip race with them but they were uncomfortable on the street. Now that I have a R34, it's been difficult to choose anything else.
  2. Thanks, mate. I'm going to try a little magic flushing out the block with the old rad removed and the new one uninstalled. I don't have any sort of machines so I'll have to accomplish this with a friend a few cans of beer.
  3. I think the turbo should be easy to clean since it's a relatively small coolant passage. My main concern is the new radiator. I want to avoid getting any sort of rusty coolant in it.
  4. I just read this thread. I have rusty coolant in my radiator (GodSpeed) and it literally smells like fish. This situation has promoted me to purchase a new SARD rad, nismo stat, and samco hoses. The hoses are a 'might-as-well' purchase... My track my R34, BTW. I don't know if there's rust in the block but I want to completely flush out the engine and my Garrett turbo since it's coolant-cooled. How do I completely flush/remove the rust out of the system and not containment the new rad?
  5. subscribed for future reference. Epic thread.
  6. If that doesn't work and you can wait. I'll be selling mine JAN-FEB time frame.
  7. Charles, I'll buy this if you can drive it to California. ;-D
  8. I will trade for any good parts (R34) HKS EVC VI NRG quick lock NRG quick release NRG Nissan hub MOMO steering wheel GTR MFD cover
  9. Charles, or anyone reading, any idea how this is accomplished? Apparently, this person has his fog light wired to his headlights (RED). That changes (WHITE) when in reserve gear.
  10. he always has good parts for sale. I'm glad he identified the Nismo bumper because Google was getting tired of me searching for 'r34 top secret rear bumper.'
  11. Thanks. A quick search confirmed so. Alot of people selling their Nismo bumpers?
  12. I'm removing this rear bumper for a better looking one. Previous owner told me that it was a Top Secret bumper. Can someone confirm that? Painted stock 'Black Pearl' from a R34 GT-T. The bumper has a few scruffs but nothing major. No rips, tears, etc. I'll ship it out as soon as I receive my replacement bumper from JDL Tuning appx mid-late Dec as I'll need a shipping box. lol. Price is $400 USD + shipping from USA (including GT-T tail light covers).
  13. bump. Anyone other companies? I would love to replace the whole dash of my GTT with a GTR CF dash.
  14. ^^ Thanks, from what I've read, looks like that HICAS will get in the way... Again, I have let the car tell me what needs to be changed..
  15. ssshhh. Don't tell Barack Obama. **Update** The dudes from JDL Tuning have been offering lots of insight and communication. Apparently, they don't make the Ztune-style hood but did point me to SEIBON as an alternative. I found some functional SEIBON Ztune-style CF fenders... but now I don't know which type of fenders to get, lol. http://www.seiboncarbon.com/products/nissan/skyline/ Seibon in action: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/04/23/car-feature-gt-japo-motorsport-z-tune-r34.aspx As of today, I've decided to go with the JDL Tuning GTR kit (+ JDL Ztune front bumper) and add the Seibon Ztune-style CF hood and Ztune-style fenders to complete my GTT >>> GTR >>> Ztune
  16. My rational for this whole body kit mess is to promote air flow. I use the GTT for road racing (RB26 to 2.8L). The Z-tune fenders (aka guards) are not only sexy, they're efficient. The Z-tune style hood is effective as well. Thanks for the feedback the more insight I get the more time and $$ I can save. I think I already addressed most the issues you've mentioned. The complete Empire Aero GTR Z-tune for the FRONT end should convert my GTT into a GTR Z-tune as long as I buy EVERYTHING from them (hood, fenders, bumper, etc). I'm not 100% sure but I believe I already have GTR headlights (Xenon). Can someone confirm from this picture? I'm not spending more money on expensive Jap parts. I made that error when I spent drug money on my Z (my profile picture). Replicas are fine with me especially since I don't daily drive the GTT. Good advice. It seems that a lot of dudes on GTROC used JDL tuning and have given me the thumbs up. I think JDL tuning is British or something so that's probably why a lot of GTROC dudes have used them.
  17. ^^ Thanks for the reply. Clean looking R34 Shady companies/people are not on the radar. I'm in the states so I sure as hell don't wanna deal with douche bags in OZ. I've been doing a lot of searching and I think I found the perfect recipe to do a GTT >> GTR >> Ztune convert. Basically, the GTT Z-Tune kits I've encountered online compliment the GTT as opposed to transforming it something I'm looking for. Products offered here- All Empire Z-tune components FRONT END: http://www.empireaer...p?ID=GTR+GARAGE All JDL Tuning components REAR END: http://www.jdltuning...body-convertion The only issue I've read about is the tail lights not fitting properly: GTT tails have smaller covers.
  18. I've looked into them. Maybe it's the poor advertisement photo but I'm not convinced: http://jsai.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=343&category_id=25&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29 Seems like their missing the hood and front fenders (Ztune flared fenders).
  19. In that case then I imagine the Empire kit will fit: http://www.empireaero.com.au/pages.asp?ID=GTR+GARAGE Website said "GTR" but I can't get a hold of anyone to see if all pieces together will fit a GT-T
  20. LOL, I get an error message almost every time I attempted to add a post. Unfortunately, GTRs are rare and the ones that are legal are stupid expensive in the states. I found a nice R34 GTT in New York that I'll convert into a GTR I'm looking to convert my *FUTURE* GTT to a Z-tune. Hope you can help.
  21. Anyone know if there's a GT-T to Z-Tune body kit out there?
  22. Try JDTuning: http://www.jdltuning.com/Nissan-Skyline-R34-GTT-GTR-body-convertion
  23. Count is correct. stock vs stock. I would take the V-spec. Modified cars are different. If the modified car suits you then purchase it. You'll more likely save money that way. You can always sell the modified parts and revert it to stock or even purchase the V spec parts and have a sort of stock GTR with V spec upgrades, lol.
