1. Thanks for your concerns mate. My GTR is a dedicated track car, yes, but not a race car. I don't need an elaborate cooler setup as I'll only track it once-twice a month in the "stock class" with not much higher horsepower. The Nismo or arc will serve my needs.

I appreciate the feedback though. That's why I love SAU.

Sent from my SC-03D

2. Thanks for the replies, gentlemen.
yes, I've considered other options and narrowed it down to the coolers I mentioned in the first post.

Sent from my SC-03D

3. Actually, IM going for subtly. I would live to have the setup in the first picture (behind the grille). Sent from my SC-03D
 4. Please delete. Multiple posts error
 5. I don't think so.

The Nismo is taller but a lot thinner. The ARC is shorter but is fatter. Lol

Sent from my SC-03D

6. I'm not the one to start new threads especially if I think this topic has been covered before. Unfortunately, I can't find any info regarding NISMO vs ARC oil cooler options. My GTR is going to be a dedicated track car and I want to buy a good oil cooler for it. I'm not planning on doing a lot of power building so I don't need a gigantic core with fans, etc. I've narrowed my chooses down to two: Nismo. I like that it has a replacement for the sandwhich and has a thermastat. I also like the fact that it comes with a shroud. The Nismo kit is basically a complete kit and has everything the driver needs to replace. I don't like where it mounts and I don't like that it has long lines that connect it to the sandwhich. On top of that, it looks like a basic $50 Earl's core and lines with a NISMO logo. ARC. I love that it mounts because it doesn't bother the airflow of other car components. The long design is awesome and I like that the oil will flows horizontally as opposed to vertically (NISMO because of the way its mounted). I don't like that it looks bulky. I want to keep my stock grille. I dont like the fact that it doesn't come with a shroud to direct air to and from. Both are expensive but I often see ARC cores in the marketplace. Anyone have experience with both or either one? Which one will be a better purchase?
 7. I'm very interested but I'm looking at the NISMO oil cooler as well. I can't decide which is best for my application.
 8. I've heard that the Nismo is rather large and doesn't allow for good flow like the stock intercooler. I don't know that to be factual information though. Sent from my SC-03D
 9. Hey mate. Download the files from gtrpwr and look up what you need.

Cheers

Sent from my SC-03D

10. I'm actually trying to sell both: MFD with tv button and clarion video cable. I also have the main harness and MFD cover. I can't decide if I was, am, will install everything in my BNR32.

I'm willing to part the video loom if you want it though

Sent from my SC-03D

11. Profound..

Honestly, I real reason I visit SAU is because it saves me money.

Sent from my SC-03D

12. that's not mine. Its some random picture I found on google imagine. I forgot to mention that I sport a bunch of Nismo clothes as well. Lol Sent from my SC-03D
 13. I own a few NISMO items. My favorite is my Nismo plenum: I also have a set of LMGT4s if anyone is interested.
 14. What did you end up choosing, mate? I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that NISMO contracted ARC to produce their radiators and intercoolers.
 15. Hugh, what do you mean by 'ecu will trigger cold temp enrichment?' I'm curious as a live in west Japan. I'm running a stock 32-R but I'm going to do some cooling upgrades as I plan on tracking the vehicle. I live in Japan and as of now the GTR is more of a street car than a dedicated track monster. I want to buy a nismo t-stat but it sounds like this might not be the time for me to purchase one.
 16. [deleted original post] Any update how much "Refreshes" cost at the Nismo factory?
 17. Interesting. I'm excited to see how the market goes for those old R32s... Will they be like the hakosuka?

Sent from my SC-03D

18. Thanks. I'm more for safety than power... But I do want to be at the higher end of the SAFE POWER.

Sent from my SC-03D

19. What's the highest stock whp that can be SAFELY achieved using stock components and N1 turbos? Sent from my SC-03D
 20. What do you recommend? I'm open minded. Honestly, I was thinkin of purchasing the Garrett equivalents as I official N1 turbos would be pricey. I thought these cars needed a little back flow. Having the whole exhaust the same size would not promote that.
 21. SOLD my black NISMO stickers but I still have WHITE.
 22. Sorry to butt in. On the subject of stock engine and boost, I'm running a very healthy R33 Rb in my 32-r and I'll upgrade to N1 steal wheels with ceramic coatING on the hot side, what's a good boost for me while still being on the safe side? Sent from my SC-03D
 23. Ironically, I'm selling my MFD. I've never purchased from rhd but I've communicated with them I'm the past. I prefer Nengun out of f*kuoka. Honestly, if you're looking for parts then I have can probably get you very good prices. Sent from my SC-03D
