33 Gtst or 180sx HELP!
Terreto replied to the_consumernator's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
How can you even consider a 180 over a skyline!? It's madness. Not in a million years. -
It looks like someone crossed a 350 with a maxima. Kinda a bit too chubby and soft for my liking, not agressive enough, I'm not a fan of the family car like grill on the front. It looks alrite, but like the chubbier older sister of the 350 more than anything

Just had car sprayed.. Am I being Too Picky?
Terreto replied to Cubes's topic in General Automotive Discussion
$4000 spent, 2 months of hassles, your pride and joy messed up and now 1 month to fix it (hopefully)!!!? Man, bend over baby cos here it comes! It's not good enough, I feel for ya but you gotta put your foot down dude. -
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10...
Terreto replied to Rezz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
What's the point with the EVO, it just looks like a riced up Lancer to the average joe. How much were they, like 70k or something? ridiculous. Small, ugly and overpriced. Might go fast but so what? It's about as appealing as a high performance Hyundai Excel. Sorry EVO owners, but for that money Mitsubishi really should give it it's own body and model look, not that of a mass produced budget car runabout. -
Well, according to drive.com.au, looks like Acura is headed to Australia... eventually. Don't know if that's a good thing or not, perhaps like the Americans we can be duped into thinking an Acura ain't a Honda and a Lexus ain't a Toyota, but anyway all you people who stuck those Acura badges on your Integras (and some on their Civics:P), you're dream may just come true;)

What do you think about the Integra type R
Terreto replied to playa's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The Type-R is a good car, but I don't know, it just doesn't stir the blood, good at everything not great at anything it seems, and for the money you want something a bit more exciting. It's not like a Type-R will turn many heads, it looks like a big civic, too tall and thin, not low and wide like a sports car should be, it's still pretty, but in that forgettable way. The FTO on the other hand, well that just has a total hairdressers car reputation, so why buy one of those. I guess there isn't really any really great sportscars been made at the moment, the Rx-8 is interesting, nice interior, suicide doors and all that, reasonably pretty, but not wildly so, but 60k for a mazda!? bit much, the 350 is overpriced and a mixed bag, what does that leave... nothing much really, we need some more radicial designs, I hope the next Integra is a real showstopper. -
Dude, never leave shit in your car, particularly in town, even for 5 mins, so many people I know have had their windows smashed and stuff taken, even when they just went inside for a minute or two and that's what they always say 'it was just for a minute' well these dudes will strike in that minute and then bang, there goes your laptop or whatever.

To be honest, I just think most young drivers are pretty bad drivers, how can you expect to be a good driver if you have no experience, to say you are is a joke. I've yet to have anyone prove me wrong, and if they happen to be in a skyline it's just amplified inevitably. I mean c'mon, let's not sugarcoat things, these 17 year old's don't buy those r32 GTR's just to drive to church on Sundays. Generalisations don't come out of thin air. Statisically old and young ppl have the most crashes don't they, with young people it's from inexperience, most of them really should do some kind of advanced driving course instead of spending money on some additional mods or whatever. I don't think most drivers are bad, most are generally sensible within the law of averages, but let's not paint these kids as some kind of saints either! You know a GTR or what not is a dangerous weapon in the hands of an idiot.

Is it true that the Intergra Type-R here is actually the Type-S and real Type-R isn't allowed to be sold here or something like that? Not sure, someone was explaining it to me once, that the one in Japan has 180kw or something? Nice car, but I you know you can get the current body shape Type-R for about that price so I think you got a bit of bad luck being just on the end of a production cycle there, but good luck. RX-8 is nice, love them suicide doors!

It's been 2 long years, but the R34 is coming...
Terreto replied to SS8_Gohan's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Nice car, but yeah, the wing has gotta go. -
Why would you try and make a BMW M3 look like a r33 GTR? Don't M3's cost like around $140,000 or something? Brilliant, make your car look like it costs 100k less than it actually does:P
-
Go the Skyline, we're talking the difference between early 90's and mid-late 90's. IMO early 90's cars look horribly dated on the inside, and the wear and tear shows. The 300zx falls squarely in that category.

How much would you pay for this GTR?
Terreto replied to druzilla32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Selling a car is prick. The beauty, however, is that cars always sell for what they're worth, that's what they're worth to the buyer not the seller, and that's the way it will always be. I'd say most owners are far too attached to their car to be objective. At the end of the day it's 15+ year old out of date car that's not getting any newer, to expect to get near 27k for it down the line is wishful thinking. Ask yourself, would you pay around 27k for what will going on a 17 year old thrashed out piece of claptrap in 2005/6? You'd have to be nuts. -
The Cops Are Chasing Me in a WHAT?
Terreto replied to Merli's topic in General Automotive Discussion
That is a mighty fine looking police car! Imagine you join the police force and they gave you that, you'd be like 'yes'! -
I'd go the r34, s15's are nice enough I guess but everywhere, as are r33's, which are getting a bit long in the tooth already.

I just got my Skyline, and some prick keyed it.
Terreto replied to lka82's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I feel for you guys, it sucks aye, one little key and thousands of bucks damage potentially. Even if you respray it it's not the same thing as having the original coat on there, it's like you've been violated. -
Very patient??? Am I taking crazy pills here? You'll get a local one EASY for under 35k.
-
Not terribly attractive?! That's a big understatement. It looks boxier than a Volvo, wouldn't look out of place at a bingo night.
-
The difference is the 34 is 1 better than the 33:P

The Stagea looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit a few branches on the way down by the looks of it.

Colour Schemes what's your poison?
Terreto replied to Kor'axis's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I like the silver series 2 with the fast and furious stripes, awesome! Some ppl don't like stripes but I wouldn't look twice at that r33 without one, an r34 looks wicked with stripes. With so many kinda bland grey/white/burgundy r33's out there, a bit of (tasteful) individuality goes a long way. I'm not keen on the whole shopping cart stickers, that's not my style, but some stripes, why not!? Looks good. -
Some Skyline Drivers are a Disgrace
Terreto replied to toby19's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yeah but a skyline isn't a grandmas car, or a wife's car it's a young person's car, young male to be precise, people buy them when they want performace, so the ratio of hoons and posers is much higher, and that's reflected in the stereo types, I mean stereo types don't just come out of nowhere. Having said that, it's not a problem that's exclusive to Skylines, but rather any sports cars that are affordable enough for young males to buy. If BMW M5's cost 15 grand M5 drivers would have a bad rep. -
See. that's just farked, what compells people to do shit like this? I'd cover the badge in superglue next time;) Then find their car and drive over it with an Abrams tank:)

How do you guys afford such nice cars?!
Terreto replied to Jaxe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Reading the last few pages it seems like the average skyline owner: a.) Works in IT b.) Earns shit money b.) Live with his parents c.) Can't afford to have a life cos they're too busy making payments. I don't know bout u guys but if my car is causing me to have no life I'd sell my car, cos your only young once and you don't want to look back and think you sat at home with mum your whole youth just so you could afford a car which by then will be worth squat anyway.
