Some pretty urgent assistance required if possible guys! I'm from Auckland, NZ, and am moving to Melbourne to live within the next few weeks, however I own a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS Type-S that I would really rather not sell if I can avoid it, and would like to ship over at some stage if the situation permits... but I need a relative idea on how much it's going to cost me and what i'm going to have to go through if all goes ahead.. i'll give you the specs so as you can advise me, as I know nothing about Melbourne vehicle regulations so i'm not sure whether i'll have to modify the car much.
1990 Nissan Skyline GTS Type-S
2 Door Coupe
5 Speed Manual
Front Strut Brace, Standard RB20DE engine.
Professionally lowered on Tokico suspension
2 1/2" Exhaust
17" Advanti Aztecs, with 235/45 R17 Nankang tyres all-round.
Tinted windows (I actually don't know the level, it's maximum NZ Legal Limit, which is something around the 70% opacity level, i.e, 30% tint or so)
Standard Interior, full original Skyline Trim.
Heavy-Duty Clutch, and "Quick-Shifter" gearbox, although as I wasn't the one to install the box, I actually have no idea of what it is, or whether the label has any bearing whatsoever.. may well just be marketing. heh.
So any assistance would be helpful... I'm happy to pay the shipping costs, but I'm curious as to how much of it is legal on Australian roads. Since I can only sell it for around $6,000 to $8,000 here in NZ, i'd rather take it with me.
