The three close to me are all out, looks like a trip to th shop to grab some octane booster tommorrow.

He has done vl 3l block conversion to a r33 N/A head which has an rb20 plenum i think. Would it be worth it going for a greddy or would a stock rb25 plenum fit?

foglights look stupid anyway, turn them off.

I had the same problem today. The hose was really hard to get back on the T peice. I managed to get it on up to the line thats about half way, I hope it stays on.

Hey, I have hks adjustable suspension on my GTT and when I got it in it was fully lowered and looked great. To be able to get it down my driveway I have had to jack the back up inch of two. Am I losing heaps of handling by the car being set up on a forward lean? cheers

can you pass the pits with after market HID head lights? or even stock ones if your car has those on?

I turned down the boost to about .7 bar/ 10psi and now the car feels slow oh well at least the turbo wont blow I will probably still pop it back up to 1 bar when I go cruising on a cool night.

The worst part about this thread is that no one suggests using cheap copper plugs instead of iridiums, which for many people would fix the missfire problems. Hey I only just found out, dont look at me worked a treat in my GTT.

one more question. does the turbo generally blow from the hot exhaust gases or from spinning to fast? or both?

I have one of these for sale in perth. Only used once for 15 minutes.

hey, I recently had my gtt tuned to a higher boost then I want to run daily. Question is, can i just adjust the duty levels down on the avcr to a safer limit like 10psi. Will there be any problems? cheers

cheap way $25 - take out your iridium and put in cheap copper plugs. expensive way $800- keep the iridiums and get splitfire coil packs.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The reason I ask is because a friend of mine ran a stock r33 turbo for 6 months on about 15psi with no problems at all. And I have spoken to a few people around the place who run them on about 13-14 daily with no problems. But you certainly cant ignore the broken turbos in this thread. If my car is tuned for 14 will it run badly if i drop it down to 10 with my avcr? I might run it on 10 for daily and pop it back up on weekends... haha

Who is running the stock GTT turbo at this sort of boost? How long have you been running it? I got my GTT tuned recently and they tuned it with this boost. I figure I can always drop it down a bit but it might mess around with my tune? I would probably just leave it up at what it is, if its reasonably safe.

I guess not. I dont like the dirty no-cat smell and discolouring of the back of the car. Will have to sort something out I guess.

Hey, Is it normal practise for a tuner to melt your hi flow cat, then when it doesnt flow, to punch if out so its no longer a cat?
