  1. I will create an updated post, I hope you dont mind if i add in some of the info you guys have provided? I will even host some auction report examples I have been given a while ago.
  2. Tony was just one sales guy at motor world, if he no longer works there it really makes no difference at all. I bought two great cars from motor world I will vouch for them. Mark hocking seems to sell a lot of cars to a lot of happy customers. The rest of the links are just random links I picked up. Maybe it would be best to delete them and the reference to Tony above the motor world link. There must be more exporters around that people in Australia have used that are reliable?
  3. lol! sh!t! does a 2000 gtt series one have a synchromesh transmission? what fluid would you recomend?
  4. cheers Vijay, When I get some time I will ad additional information and also clean up what is already there. If anyone wants to add any sites for exporters or information sites regarding imports or cars or thinks my information needs to be changed, let me know.
  5. Was there ever a conclusion to the claims that magic cats were not really cats? cheers
  6. No [D4RKS1D3] I was talking about my previous posts, not yours. Sorry for the confusion
  7. Hey I remember this thread! I ended up cancelling my order with that broker and importing my second car myself. Got a refund on his fee and went ahead buying a different car by myself. It turned out to be easy and I got a great car I am extremely happy with This is probably why I am so vocal on these forums about not using import brokers.
  8. You could do the conversion yourself? It involves bending a wire bracket and super gluing in a couple of tiny bits of aluminium... and unscrewing the HID boxes. If you have the instructions, it’s just a matter of time and patience.
  9. I like your points OP'er and have thought most of these things myself.
  10. We don’t? Who are we? Are you trying to say that you and everyone else on this forum are a group who have the same opinion? I see posts constantly from people who think paying some import broker in Australia is the only, or best way to get a car here. Look three posts up from yours and you will see one.
  11. So what’s the difference between you importing directly off the jap exporter or your broker importing off the exact same jap exporter on your behalf? It costs you $1000 extra? Exactly the same results and risks? The amount of paperwork is almost nothing, you fill out a form or two and you email or fax another form or two. Your compliancer and customs broker will be doing most of the paperwork. On one hand it makes me sad that after using a broker twice you don’t have the sense to not use one, if there is a third import. On the other hand its people like you that make people with a bit of common sense, blinging rich. When I get out of uni I will need your dollars Cheers
  12. Where does it say anywhere that the wire has to be cut? When cutting it is not required for a halogen conversion? The wire is part of the headlight unit and not part of the HID unit itself. That’s like saying a RAWS workshop could lose their licence for leaving some of the wire in place after cutting it because it was meant to be fully destroyed. Totally ridiculous!
  13. Your best bet would go into a workshop and speak to them.
  14. I need to change mine soon, was probably going to go for some redline. Where is the cheapest place to get it or an equally good brand? Cheers
  15. lol
  16. yeah mate there were shitloads of v8's and hardly any imports. there was a 1500hp v8.. pretty nutz in anyones books.
  17. Who went? I thought it was much better then that crappy auto saloon. Got to see that xspeed gtr and a 33 gtr get dyn'd aswell. yeeeeee
  18. Your product range and prices dont seem that great. are your wholesale prices even better then the lowest retail prices?
  19. When you take your car to be complianced, ask your guy if he can tuck the main shielded cable away instead of cutting it when he puts halogens in to replace the xenon’s. Means you can get your car back to stock xenons at a later date much easier.
  20. how much do they cost?
  21. yeah high beams are not xenon.
  22. an xr6t beating a gtr in anything is a funny thought
  23. OMIGAWD! another dude with a bayside blue GTT
  24. If a cop told me I was doing 70 in a 60 zone and he was going to book me and I asked for the laser reading and he didnt have one, do you think I would lose in court? Cop wouldnt even bother writing it up if you were polite and were firm saying you were not speeding at all. Never admit guilt.
