  2. does anyone know what is required on the bell housing side of things to fit a RE4r03a to a rb25det? an can some one who has actually had some work done with either of these boxs on a 25 please enlighten me with a little information on what prices you have paid to have what done.. my plan is to set up with a full manaul valve body, quickshift, and highstall.. an power figure being around the 400 rwkw.. and application being drag..
  3. im thinking the RE4r03a is goin to be the pic from the research ive done so far.. basing my decision on the fact it will be the easiest to install, price, and availability of parts to upgrade as i increase the power figuers.. an yes this box is a 4 speed. 3 gears with an over drive as fourth.. which in drag racing terms says its a 3 speed as overdrive is just for cruising.. nikk, ill add you as a friend.. im interested to know how you go. will also keep you informed of how my set up goes
  4. hey guys, im sure this has been brought up many of times but i cannot for the life of me find where to search the topics.. :| im curious as to what the auto gearbox's are like and what my options are with a 25det. i have a series 2 r33 gts25t and my manual box is in need of a rebuild so i have decided i want to convert to an auto box as i am setting the car up for drag. i plan on seeting it up with a highstall, manual valve body an quick shift. any help would be greatly appreciated. preferably from someone with experience using an auto box or an after market auto box.. so i can get a good idea of which direction to take.. thank you in advance owen

  7. sorry for such a delayed response.. yeh im keen as a been mate.. just took the car off the road to do a bit of maintenance an some touch ups with the appearance in the enginebay.. (lookin fairly ave) haha but should be back in action within 2 weeks... should either get a cruise happeneing or get a mass group of 33's to meet one weds avro an all hit woop ass weds together.. maybe all cruise in together?? be pretty epic!!!!
  8. How does the exhaust affect the actuator tho? That's what I'm trying to figure out.. Plugs have been gapped. Changing coils an ebc next week then I will be sending it in for a chip I'm sure this will solve the problem
  9. Mir Yeh I know It has To be tuned.. I was just confused because I thought from factory there were only a 5 psi actuator..
  10. I know boost needs to go down.. Not my question.. I'm curious as to why considering Other people have had no dramas at 10 without a tune.. An curious to why after putting an exhaust on would it have effected my boost?
  11. I just put a full turbo back system on my 33 ser2 and boost is hitting 10 psi now instead of seven.. An it jut ayers coughing an farting as soon as it hits 10.. Anyone able to tell my how it could have changed my boost pressure an why it's not likin 10 psi? Other mods being Walbro fuel pump Fmic An have disconnected the 2 stage solenoid by earthing it..
  12. i havnt read any of these posts yet.. just came across the topic.. had a quick glimps at the pics an sorry to see.. pretty unfortunate.. BUT the tittle of this topic really grinds my gears.. should be tittled pharcking idiots on the road.. no matter what make of car you drive you will always come across someone who thinks they have the rite to tell you its a hunk of junk an some just take it too far.. but the battle between imports an v8's an holden an ford an shit is f**ken rediculous!!! horsepower is horsepower no matter how it comes.. think of it this way.. decent people that drive skylines hate how people see us an judge us coz of the few dicks that also drive them.. same goes for holden, ford, toyyota, VOLVO for christ sake.. dick heads are just dick heads in general but stereo typing holden drivers is no different to people stereo typing us!!!

  16. im pretty keen? what happens if you dump the clutch on a corner for deliberate oppostie lock?
  17. should just keep focused on one part of the track ie first half where the race is won an lost.. if your down on power you wont know untill your getting your first half of the track rite coz if your getting wheel spin in all of first, bit of second an chirping third that will have an effect on your top end mph anyway.. once you master that part you will soon know if the car has power issues byy how the car is behaving at the top end.. first half of the track is all in your hands, where as the second half of the track 90% is down to the cars power.. couple of posts up someone commented on the smell of burning clutch.. perfect comment.. unless you have semi slicks an soft suspension, the launch is 80% in the left foot, clutch will start to smell but you have plenty of time between rounds to let her cool
  18. what sort of horespower are the stock 2 piece shafts cappable of? i know someone earlier said they have been using around the 500 to 600 hp mark but what application are you using your car for? street, drift, drag, track? if anyone is using a stock shaft with slicks at the drags would be handy to know the following.. *horsepower *revs on launch *tyres being used cheers
