are the rb26 pistons the same as the rb25det neo ones (or can fit)? i might need new pistons so im interested cheers Eric

hi just got my car back.. it starts now but i found that : 1) it idles like a wrx with a ticking sound 2) car vibrates with very very rough idle 3) it has 0 compression in the first cylinder for those that dont know, i accidentally dropped a screw in the cylinder and it squashed it when i tried to start it (doh) the mechanic said that the problem now is either: 1) bent valve or 2) piston he said he's pretty sure its the valve as the piston looks fine he wouldnt quote me on a price or a range tho so i was wondering if anyone could gimme a rough price range of getting the valve replaced? i know the block has to be opened which should cost a bit =( anyone had similar experiences? thanx Eric

hi i was thinking of doing the spark plugs and heres wat happened. i took the first plug out and then when unscrewing the second coil, i dropped the screw in the hole of the first spark plug tho i wasnt sure if it went in or not, i thought i should put everything back together again and do it tomorrow. when i tried to start the car, it made a tick and a whine and wouldnt start could it be the screw? anyone know how to get it out? i dont know if its another problem or not? please help!!~~

sorry to sound stupid but does this silencer only work on N1 exhausts? wats 110 mm in inch? im in cherrybrook too, mind meeting up at cherrybrook village or somethig so i can see if it fits my exhaust? cheers Eric

the average of prices has actually gone up by around 1-2k since i got mine bout 7 months ago.. its hard to predict the prices but i hope that it still stay at least in the mid/high 20's by end of next year the interior in the pic looks like a series 2 (judging from the steering wheel and the cluster), they are fairly rare as a large number of gtt's ive seen are usually 1998/99 and a stock good condition series 2 example would probably set u back in the mid 30's if buying privately expect some higher prices if you buy from a dealer

yeah, i have same problem now but i havent had time to regap the plugs yet if it doesnt work, its probably the coils resetting the ECU is a temp fix which lasts 1-2 days cheers

insurance would be roughly the same petrol will obviously be more for the r33 gtst how many km's u get on a full tank for the n/a? in my car, i'm getting around 350 +/- 10km which is pretty painful for a daily driver.. =(
