  1. ok, after installing back the stock springs back onto the stock shocks and getting a 4 wheel alignment, the car is now still pretty harsh on bumps on the road causing it to loose traction a fair bit. it feels dangerous when i accelerate as i dont feel the same stability as before (even though they are the same parts). now, i've spent more $$ than i really want to in trying to fix this problem but every suspension place i've been to seem to be clueless and i'm still stuck with it i'm thinking it could be either: 1) Stuffed shocks - its pretty firm and requires me to lean on the car to make it budge 2) Tyres wearing thin - still a bit of thread but nearing the wear indicator 3) Front right radius bush leaking - i heard it could result in freeplay resulting in the wheel moving everywhere thus shaking the car and losing grip? i'm wondering if anyone here would like to have a test drive and see if they can help diagnose the problem? i'll drive to you if that is required but everywhere i've been to seems more confused than me =(
  2. heya how much for the stock shocks? thanks
  3. hmm, no probs with TCS as such but i mostly turn it off when i start the car (force of habit)

  5. heya maybe i'm just paranoid but do any of you guys experience the back sliding a bit (oversteer?) when going 90 degrees at medium/large sized roundabouts at about 50-60km/h? just wanted to know whether it is normal or whether the problem popped up recently (didnt really noticed it) until the heavy rain few days ago thanks edit: i've read that this is due to HICAS?

  14. had a very very scary experience tonight was driving down kirham (off beecroft road) at around 9pm those of you from the hills should know of the area before the bridge above the m2, it comprises of a few twisties but nothing too dramatic i was literally going 30-40 km/h as it was raining and i couldnt see anything anyways, on the last turn, my back wheel stepped out and spun out (lost count how many circles i did but time sure did stand still) luckily, there was no cars coming the other way as i basically spun and stopped across both lanes and i doubt they wouldve seen me also, lucky i didnt incur an damages to the car nor was there anyone around a later inspection showed a large number of leaves and sticks on the ground which probably resulted in loss of traction, i have decent tyres with decent tread i wasnt being stupid and was driving very slowly, so i suppose it couldve happened to anyone anyways, just a warning to those travelling in leafy areas and in the wet
  15. heya all well i got my springs installed today as i was a bit bored and wanted to see what it would look like unfortunately, i forgot to take the measurements of the height (from middle of wheel to arch) so i dont know how much they are lowered by -_-! well i have a few questions and hope someone could help answer them (i did a search and read through all the posts already) 1) the front is currently around front 335mm and the back is 360mm (middle of wheel to arch), i have stock shocks for now(i know, but will upgrade them in around 6 months). As i forgot to take the standard measurement, i cant tell how much it was lowered. Is this height "safe" for the stock shocks, i heard/read that it is ok for 25mm lowered? 2) the ride is similar to stock ride, nothing too different. However, i noticed that whilst downhill and turning/braking at the same time, i hear a rubbing sound? is this a concern? i currently have 234/45/17 at the front if this is a concern, i may take the springs back out until i can get the new shocks also, other than handling, are there any effects on worn shocks?
