  2. hey guys. looking for a consult plug. can be from any nissan. anyone got a engine loom laying around they dont want?
  3. agreed with you toffy on both counts. both the type 1 and type 2 kits look cool. type one is a little more subtle.
  4. haha nah my drill is cordless just held one in each hand. haha. yeah ive seen many people selling the 01/03 centre caps. but they wont fit. they are the raised style, mine take the sunked in style. got jesse streeter havin a sus for me. he is gonna see if the new style equip centre caps are the same/similar in fitting.
  5. hey guys. im after a set of these centre caps. pm me if ya got anythin or know of anyone. id like a full set but only really need one. cheers danny
  6. my busted centre cap. these are powder coated i believe and look terrible. would prefer somethin in a plain alloy so i can polish it. mate has suggested gettin some turned up on a lathe and then engraved. so gonna have a look into that.
  7. ah rad! yeah i polished mine up tonight with a buffin wheel on my drill haha. results of the first wheel anyone got any ideas on where i could find new centre caps? one of them is missin a bit and they just all generally look a bit haggard.
  8. where might i find genuine work bolts?
  9. anyone got any ideas on how to get the bolts all shiny again? i was thinkin just soak them in a light acid. they destroyed the buff pad i was usin. and cbf doin it by hand. alternatively thinkin about paintin them black for some contrast?
  10. so i decided that "a little elbow grease" was way to hard. yesturday i bought a buff pad that is for a drill, bought my drill home from work this morning and went at one of the wheels with it along with some liquid autosol. results are awesome. this is after about 10mins. only done the spokes, 90% of the water marks are gone. once i get the spokes out of the barrels ill go over it properly along with the rim. id brought what i thought were the appropriate sized socket and spanner home... turns out volk uses 10mm bolt heads and 10mm nuts. where as work uses 8mm bolt heads and 12mm nuts. haha this hasnt actually discoloured as you can tell from the previous pic. im assuming its the reflection from my high vis orange work shirt haha. here is an untouch wheel for reference.
  11. yeah thats what i was told also. matt (guy that co-created nistune) is a mate of mine and will be installin the ecu and the consult plug for me once i acquire the plug.
  12. hmmmm i thought r32s ran consult plugs? ill be seein matt later in the week anyways to get the nistune fitted so ill question him on it haha.
  13. also need to find a consult plug now haha. off to the wreckers on saturday i think.
  14. ok pics. judging by the writing on it in the second pic its come from a wrecker at some point. so im assuming its the right thing... either way accordin to matt even if its a non turbo computer for all intentions its exactly the same. once the turbo map is put on it itll be just like a stock 20det ecu.
  15. i believe its actually an mec-r212b on the case it has mec-r212 in one box and then next to it is a b and then in the next box 2703 according to matt (guy who made nistune) it will be fine. i have just taken it for a decent drive. did about 60ks. seems fine idle is great, revs smoothly. and fuel consumption seems better already. tryin to upload pic of the ecu itself but phone is bein a moron
  16. ok new ecu is in. havent driven it. apparently its out of a late model 32 part number is mec-r212 instantly seems better. started the car up and the idle is 100% better then with the laurel ecu. nistune will be installed this week some time. and tune soon
  17. boost graph. fairly happy with how well it held boost considerin its just a turbotech boost t afr graph.. got rollercoaster?
  18. lol yeah you said not to bother tuning the laurel ecu. and so i havent. just didnt realise there was a difference in tune from standard plus i was bein lazy but it is good to know and will be in tomorrow night and nistune on thursday. then hopefully only a couple weeks till full remap
  19. pics and vids first run http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h309/fragga/?action=view&current=31clubdynoday6-5-12007.mp4 second run http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h309/fragga/?action=view&current=31clubdynoday6-5-12006.mp4
  20. oh man.. thats a bit dissapointing haha. i had the ecu sittin on the back seat.. and toyed with the idea of puttin it in before the tune but just couldnt be f**ked haha.
  21. so had the 31 clubs dyno day today down at boostin oz in salisbury. was an awesome day. laurel performed well and pretty much on par with what i was expecting. made 167.7rwkw on the first run and then 167.6 on the second. afr's are out to the shit house. rich/lean/rich/lean haha. finally found an r32 ecu which i recieved today, so will be gettin nistuned this week then off to boostworx for a remap. hopefully can push up near 200. will have some pics and vids up soon once they upload
  22. haha yeah true. but i dont wonna use spacers if i can avoid them. they are all polished. that was the original idea.... but f**k keepin them shiny will suck
  23. im hopin so. they are 3 piece and actualy 8" and 9". once they are fitted up and the laurel is at a hieght im happy with, ill take some measurements and see about gettin better fitment (if needed) also wanting to get the centre painted/powder coated. thinkin either black or white with super shiny dish. and some stainless steel bolts.
  24. so i bought those works on the weekend. they were a little dirty so i decided to polish one tonight just to see how theyd turn out. before after really need to get a polishing wheel for my drill and got over it with some decent polish. theres a bunch of stains on it.. anyone know how to get them off/what substance to use?
