need adjustable arms as the cradle didnt come with standard ones. yeah i had thought of that because with the cradle possibly being difficult to get back in. but we have a trans jack at work also. so the cradle will be held up with that and then me and my mate will just have to get the pry bars out and line everything up. i noticed the other day whilst i was under the car that one of my half shafts the boots are split. where would i get replacements boots from and how do i go about changing them??

ok so, last week i picked up my new rear cradle. paid a massive $50 for it. its non hicas which is both win and fail at the same time. win because i dont have to f**k around with hicas shit should i get defected, and fail because it means i have to buy adjustable rear toe arms. best part about the cradle is it seems to have brand new bushes in the cradle and came with the lower control arms which also appear to have new bushes and ball joints in them. hopefully next weekend ill be able to use the hoist at work to swap the cradles over and fit the rear toe arms.

haha what can i say. dans a good name yeah fair call mate thats pretty tough. hope it dont take to long to get the cash back up in that case. i agree they are fun, and ill admit ive always had a soft spot for the eg civic. would very much like an eg6 with the vtec motor in it. chased one through the hills here in adelaide once many years ago... absolutely stomped me.... couldnt even see its tail lights after about 4 corners....

if you havent got rails you will need bride type rx rails. they are the only ones that fit without modifications or adaptor plates. can get from cj motors for $279 per side genuine bride.

so i tried to organise to get the courier to deliver the rails to my work..... apparently this isnt possible because they dont have authority to do this. even though i gave them my name address and the tracking number. anyways i went and picked the up. 35min drive. each way. ohwells. and finally installed!! they are low. not excessively and seem to be on a sloping rail. the closer to the wheel you sit the higher it gets haha. handy if any short people drive it i spose. sorry bout the shit pictures. camera phone plus literally just finished bolting them in haha.

yeah but you gotta do what you gotta do. if it turns out to be my car causing the issue ill get a new proper high flow cat. it is good fun, but i want 200 haha. bride rails rocked up today, i missed the courier though. will be ringing them tomorrow to see if i can get them delivered to work.

gap is set to 0.7 currently. havent given it a full bootful yet. but from 4000rpm it really moves quite quickly up to 6000rpm and speedo starts tickin over quite quick haha. at 3000rpm its makin about 8psi on full throttle in 3rd gear. but had to back off for traffic.

so got laurel back from boostworx. didnt make the power i was hoping for but apparently there is a restriction believed to be my supposedly high flow cat.. its makes awesome mid range power (it made an extra 45kw through the mid range) on 15.5psi but drops down to about 13psi up top because of the restriction leading to a total figure of 174.3. next step is decat pipe and some new coil packs as they show signs of arching out. overal very happy with it now. drives a shit load better off boost and comes onto boost quicker and harder. heres a pic of the dyno graph.

waiting on a reply from cj motors off ns. they say they have bride type rx rails in stock and genuine for 279 each. so once i get a price for freight and confirmation of stock on hand ill be ordering a pair from them i think. was gonna get the grizzly imports power rails. but they wont send me a pic of the actual rail just the generic pic they have online. and its not the right rail so i dont trust em. rather pay the extra money for somethin i know will be the right stuff

ok so money has arrived. and i now want to order my rails for my recaro. anyone know where i could order a pair of bride type rx rails? preferably from australia as i cbf waitin for shit from japan or paying the freight.

so today i had to go to court to argue with the guy that wrote off my 31 coupe. long story short i won and will have a decent amount of cash flow of the coming months thanks to that/tax return and selling my piece of shit daily skyline. so to celebrate today i bought a new boss kit for the laurel so now it has a working horn and booked it in for a remap on the 28th. hopefully ill have time to install the walbro and consult plug otherwise ill have to pay boost worx to do it. in the next coming weeks ill be buyin up a bunch of shit. will post up more when parts have been acquired/installed
