Aahh I getcha. Wow that sucks The HU was not cheap!! Hopefully I can proceed with the install over the weekend and update afterwards.

I'm not an electronics expert, and there may be something blindingly obvious I'm missing here, but can't the wire be split and soldered to both the antenna and amp signal wires? The Pioneer manual states the wire to be max. 300ma 12V DC, so it can't be carrying any significant amount other than a signal. Is there something I'm missing, as I'm about to do an install over the weekend?

What model number is it? All the info should be in the manual. If It mentions something about being able to play DivX files, you'll be able to play DivX-encoded avi's (file format: *.avi), although I'm NOT sure if XviD encoded files will work. I just got a new Pioneer player myself that is able to play DivX files, to be installed this weekend so I'll get back if I'm successful this W/E.

I need to do something to put my stamp on it. Started with a new Pioneer HU w/ 7" foldout screen. Would like to get a R33 GTR wing and a varex exhaust asap. That's all, maybe you'll see me round
