Most economical way is to wait for them to turn up as used ones.. I think Just Jap got some? Was down there last Friday and spotted some for $2500. Can't hurt to give em a call.
-
Nah haven't reset it..the car is still down at the workshop. Looks like resetting the ECU is what everyone recommends.
-
Got a stock exhaust replaced the HKS one and a new cat so the exhaust shouldn't be an issue? It's definitely been looked at that's for sure. It doesn't only sound lumpy but the car is lumpy, the damn thing wanna shake itself apart. Will definitely investigate further with the inlet gasket..but that looks like a major operation if that's really rooted. Anymore ideas guys? At least I've got some areas to check..

Does the battery really affect things so much? So far we've been jump starting a dead battery... Fingers crossed and hope a new battery will cure this *(*)&*)* problem.
-
From my short drive, it doesn't seems like it will rev past 5000rpm. I didn't really push it all that hard. As for the injectors, previously it's 550cc but now replaced with the stock injectors. It's also got the Z32 AFM but now the stock unit. The exact mods will gonna be a bit of a mystery until I pull the damn thing apart but so far I know everything should be reverted back to stock, with exception to the fuel pump. Maybe it does have a pair of lumpier cams. I know it's going to be difficult to get an exact answer on the net but I am just trying to get as much leads to start tracking down the exact problem. This is my plan of action - * Check what cams its got * Reset ECU * Confirm the exact type of ECU.. Anything else I should add to that list? Thanks everyone for their constructive input so far
-
It doesn't die but feels like it doesn't want to go any higher and what I noticed is, it doesn't really feel like to rev anyway..it even feels slower than the GTST's. Come to think of it, it feels sorta like hitting the redline.
-
Got it as is. Been a bitch to drive out of the wharf and haven't improved since. As with the rev thing, it was like idled for 10 minutes, drive it around 2-3k for 20 minutes then try to give it a bit. Reset the ECU? Maybe the boys have done that..I'll confirm on Monday.

I think I might have some idea what's wrong with it...but it doesn't hurt to ask So far it's all stock stuff on it but the car doesn't seem to wanna start. It takes about 2-3 cranks before I'll be able to boot it up and even if it's up idle is lumpy/rough as if it's got a lumpy cams in there (but I think it's the stock cams right now..might have to check) the car doesn't seem to wanna boost up either and doesn't really wanna rev past 5k. Any ideas fellas? I think the O2 sensor isn't working properly as well so are these problems related to that? Probably will do a leak down test/compression to see how unhealthy the engine is first. Actually, do you guys think it might be a chipped ECU issue? The ECU looks like a stockie but I haven't actually pulled the cover off to see whether it's been chipped or not. Thanks

Trying to get a genuine Nissan windscreen I imagine that gonna take a while to come in...
-
I can't remember who did it, just ring up one of my local parts guy and they sorted it out..it's definitely non-genuine piece of glass. I know those glass are $150 ex GST trade price plus whatever to install it.
-
Whoa...big ups to trade price I paid $260 fitted for my new ones that got all the ADR approved markings on it. The only reason I need a new windscreen was..this (the one I am selling) one got no marking at all, not even a Jap mark on it.
-
(honestly I don't think anyone will want it but anyway..) Got a windscreen for sale, R33 off a GTR. Non-genuine/non-Nissan parts though Looking at around $100 for it. Obviously pickup in Sydney only. It's just a normal windscreen so I don't think I'll need to post a pic hey? FFS all windows looks the same! lol PM me with offers thanks.

Why does the odo reading such a big fuss for you? I mean, a car with 100k clicks on it really diss you hey? I'd rather look for a straight car with minimal (or no) mechanical fault then be contempt with it. Another thing you might be able to spot whether the car has been winded back - look around the car for oil change or mechanical repairs related labels. Japs loves them..and look on the rocker cover (or usually on the cam belt cover bit) if the car has changed the timing belt, chances are there should be a sticker and if there's a rectangle mark on it..chances are the timing belt has been replaced before AND it's probably be closer to the 100k clicks on the odo even if the odo says way less than that.

GTR Cluster & Centre Gauges (CHEAP!)
dairyboy replied to WLD747's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
PM sent..if someone wants the triple gauge, you willing to separate it as I only need the dash cluster? -
Ah well, if it's gone then gone I suppose.
-
Is this for real? If it's gone let me know...

$5500-6k.

Amazing - someone actually wanted a R34 GT Crossover in Melbourne is probably the only place left with R34 plates, the other place in Sydney got rid of them within a week. Within the next 2 months there should be a few more RAWS with R34 on their schedule, depending on how they go with the nice engineers from DoTaRS. As for people to assist you in bringing it in, the usual - J-Spec, Prestige, couple of the others on the rotating banner. (note to self: maybe there is a market for non-turbo R34's..bring that cheapie in lol)

How to get this Roil stuff?

PM sent. Already sent my buyers out to hunt a few completely stock GT/GT-T's.

So long they're DOT marked they're legal for road use. These rubbers can be locally delivered stuff and I've seen DOT mark on it (Tempe Tyres tried to sell them to me for $250 a corner for this size when I was there last week)... This isn't chatting, just trying to help the seller clear up a few things good luck! -
Sirion? Micra if you wanna stay Nissan hmmm...

F-Con's powerful but only a handful of people got the software to tune it. SAS in Silverwater got it but they want drug money to tune it. I think Advan got it too..BD4's definitely got it but they don't looks like they wanna tune F-Con's that ain't bought from them.

Welcome to DoTaRS..where delay is one of the services we offer I think they no longer stick to their 17 days charter thingy (in fact they removed that from their website completely!) - trying to cut down imports on our road is one of their objectives and for sure they're doing it well.
