  1. Thanks for that SydneyKid, the car won't be driven for a _long time_ to come just to get things sorted out.. Pics coming soon. What on earth are those turbos? Looks so damn new for its age..

Just picked my car up today from the wharf (R33 GTR) and I've noticed they are pink (I mean the plastic bit..) compared that with my old GTi-R (suppose they are using the same injectors?) this seems a bit strange. Perhaps it's been upped to Nismo 550cc pink injectors? Also the fuel rail says "GTR/SP" or something strange/doesn't make sense..is it safe to assume it's been modded? I've noticed the fuel regulator been tweaked as well as part of the fuel line connection been changed to braided lines. Another weird thing I've noticed is that the pods are inter-connected ie from the AFM to the pod is a pipe but that pipe has been modified to connect both of the pod and AFM together BUT it is still running the stock turbo's (or it seems..) I can't understand why would anyone wanna join them up? Now to the turbo - my car suppose to have done close to 75k km BUT the turbo looks as if it's new..it doesn't have the HKS GT power tag on the back of it (I was dreaming it's a new HKS turbo...d'oh!) but it's got Garrett on it. How can I verify which version are they? What colour is the actuator? I've noticed these are in a bronze/gold-ish colour and appeared to be fairly new. Finally, the car doesn't really idle well...what problem am I facing? It's running Z32 AFM to my understanding and a stock ECU too. Thanks people..

  4. Assembled that for my gf but she finds that a bit slower than her blowned up Athlon XP 2000+ so she's nagging me for something faster. All parts in this system is brand new but now it's a day old (read: got receipts to prove they were bought yesterday)..I could easily refund most things with the computer shop and lose 15%, I rather lose less and pass that savings to fellow SAU'ers Specs: Celeron 2.4GHz CPU Asus P4S800-MX all-in-one motherboard (Prescott ready) 512Mb DDR333 RAM 40Gb hard disk Asus 52x52x32x CDRW Floppy drive Midi-tower case WinXP Pro and Office XP loaded for "testing purpose" only lol. Paid $550, I am ready to lose 10% so I am asking $495 firm. In Sydney but can COD interstate if necessary. Comon take this thing off me...

  11. No, if the car has already been imported and an import approval issued for this chassis number, it remains the same even if you export it to NZ and then bring it back. Say you bring this in as a race/rally import then suddenly there's a compliance plate for it so you send it over to NZ or Japan even then bring it back...no that doesn't work. Call DoTaRS to verify my little piece of info
  12. Got a few.. iPAQ H3970 Sony CLIE NR70V Psion 5mx Palm Vx .....don't ask me why I've got so many, I just go and buy buy buy then forgot to sell them he he he. All (except the Vx) have boxes and every single one of them comes with software and accessories.

  14. I am looking at flogging the R33 GTR Brembo calipers, used pads and rotors - how much am are they worth? Also, what else can I upgrade to keeping in mind the max I'll go is 18" wheels. Anyone have experience with AP or GREX/Alcon 4 pot? Feedback? TIA
  15. now I get what you were asking me tonight - once the car has been imported as a certain class, it won't be eligible to be changed even it's 15 years old...you should've asked me that in a better way In short, this car will always stay as a race/rally import..or parts donor.
  16. There's quite a few auctions happening at the same time on the same day but at different place across Japan...how on earth you gonna check em all out even if you're over there? Another question - it's a hassle to grab someone into the auction and the process takes a while (last time I was there it took me and my agent an hour to get the ok for me to go in and by the time I got into there, the car I wanted has been sold!)

  20. Honestly do you think it will happen? They have pretty much made a decision it's just that they're doing this to make themselves look as if they give a shit. Option 2 guys, is what's gonna happen. It just blocks out all the R32/Z32/RNN14 as they're all '89 and later cars. I think the monkey to blame is the one who setup their business just to sell 15 y.o. imports AND tries to gather a movement to stop the gumbyment from changing the rules. Some people blame DoTaRS by getting rid of the low volume scheme and replaced it with SEVS but it is their intention to make things hard and possibly to stop the growing number of imports getting into here.
  21. How many car is Cross trying to submit at the moment? They can only produce and submit ne vehicle's evidence at a time...btw, how on earth did you get the import approval to bring that 34 in?

  23. you ain't dough anymore at least the stuff in your avatar has been baked lol My mate's dog's pup's uncle Bob can import R34 GTR V-Spec for $9....you just don't believe how often I hear bullshits like this and I ain't even importing a lot of cars either.

They're SEVS eligible to come in and under the R34 series just about everything that meets the power ratio bullshxt can come in under one set of evidence (or so I've been lead to believe by the workshops I work with..) Two workshops here in Sydney who's doing the R33 said they were going to get the R34's done by March but the hardass engineer down in DoTaRS don't like what they saw...one workshop failed the intrusion bars last week. $6k for complying R34's sounds a bit optimistic, one workshop have whinged about the evidence cars for R34 cost a lot more than the R33's which is true.
