  1. Most Japanese cars are in good condition and well worth the little extra wait
  2. Signature worthy. Epic! I think the electronic shifting is awesome, I just want a manual so I can drop the clutch and have a finer control over gears. Also, I think majority of Skylines in Australia that are sold on are thrashed and f**ked, or just not worth the asking price. Why when you can buy something in much better condition in Japan, import it and comply it and still have less KMs and pay less.
  3. When packets are delayed between yourself and a server? <3
  4. I would have much preferred a manual, but I could not pass up this deal! I wonder why they put the battery on the left side o_o
  5. Nice work on the paint job! Looks good Just wondering why you didn't paint the skirts first then put them on?
  6. Cheers mate I used Phil from http://www.tokyoprestige.com.au/. They are not a huge company, but they move a lot of cars to dealerships. He's a top bloke and he did say the car was immaculate. I'm sure if you shoot him an email he will be more than glad to give you some quotes and a look at the cars they have waiting in Tokyo. They also have access to Auctions, but I didn't use them. It has taken a while to get here, but then again It was in Tokyo when I bought it and they were on a golden week holiday so everything has taken about 3 months. Overall I'm pretty chuffed with what I got. Sorry for the thread jacking, just trying to give you a perspective of what I got for $8900.
  7. ^^ Dad? Nice name I paid $8900, R34 GT-T Sedan Auto 80,000km. That covered Car, Shipping, Import fees/taxes, Compliance, RWC, Detailing. All that was needed was registration. Manual Coupe R34 GT-T was quoted at $12,900 - $13,900. I think I did okay :]
  8. Thanks for all the replies guys! When I purchased it, I was aware I would probably sell it almost straight away. The Auto was a bargain and immaculate condition. I think I will drive it for a little while and sell it and go for the manual coupé GT-T. The reason I imported it is because I don't want to buy the common thrashed shitty skylines you see in Australia. Such a sad sight. . Mind you that is mostly the P-Platers. I do see a good amount of immaculate skylines... Such as the R34 GTR I saw driving down Marmion st last night. Secondly, it will be a daily driver and I work in Fremantle. Manual is okay, just a little more annoying when using it for work.
  9. Sorry for another one of those bitching threads about what's good and how much will this cost bla bla. I have an R34 GT-T Sedan (Sadly an Auto, but I will convert it to a manual when I have time and money again) coming from Tokyo and it will be here soon. I have a bunch of money to blow on mods for it and was looking for recommendations and some experience. I'm from Perth so I was considering X-speed as they are close to home. I was looking into getting: - Full turbo back 3" exhaust system - Apexi Power Intake. - Intercooler Kit - Piggyback ECU - A tune if I can afford it! I hear loads of people recommend a full service after importing cars too, should I have this done before/after mods? I am open to experiences and ideas. Cheers guys!
  10. You're talking about pearlescent paint. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pearlescent_coating
  11. I said Near Impossible I got the 4 door sedan. I have about 8k to blow on mods so I've been browsing what's around.
  12. I would also be interested in investing to keep my car to be safe. More details please
  13. It looks like you're right. The Coupe have the indicators within the brake light. Damn they are so sexy. After a little research, it seems near impossible to mod them to fit the sedans .
  14. Name: Linden Born: 1990 Vehicles: 07 GPX, 97 Magna, 98 ER34 GT-T Work: Network Engineer My ER34 is currently waiting in Tokyo ship yard for delivery to Aust. Once the car is shipped over, it will be complied in VIC, then trucked over to WA. The wait is killing me! I have wanted an R34 since Need for speed underground 2 came out! Golden week public holidays stop anything from happening until the 20th of this month . So it looks like I'm stuck lurking here revising mods until the car arrives!
  15. Nope. Just paid my deposit for my ER34 GT-T and it should be here in 8 weeks. This wait will be torture!
  16. Well I'm new here and am in the process of finding the right R34 GT-T in Tokyo to import to Perth. A little about myself: I live in Myaree, in Perth. I am 21 and I work in IT and have wanted an R34 since I played NFS: Underground 2 haha . Can someone explain the variation in the tail lights for the R34's. I have noticed the ones with the indicators under the brake lights and ones with indicators in the brake light. Did that change between 1998 - 2000? I can't seem to determine what it was! Also, if anyone has any sites that give in depth detail about the R34s and their specs and revisions etc... a link would be greatly appreciated. I have found a few, but not one to define the difference in tail end Hope to see you all around soon for cruises!
