  1. Thats the price for a rental at most outlets including the one just around the corner. I was hoping to find a private one for maybe a bit less.......it's getting expensive.
  2. Saw the guys at Mercury today,we'll bring the 2 door to get a base rwkw...if we can get a car trailer. anyone know of a good trailer we could hire for less than $80/24hrs
  3. Sounds good....not to conflict with the drag weds though
  4. AAAH!! The burning question finally answered, good to know for when I'm in the same situation, which I fairly soon will be
  5. looks like you've got 0.9mm of friction surface left I think it's the older model G-Max has the larger plates, thats what I've got but they put in the later 215 plates so that's what I'm running ...doesn't seem to be a problem. I think the 2 plates are dif but can't really remember, they've been in quite a while now
  6. I haven't weighed it all yet, we were in a rush to get it done by the Sun....Not as much as you would expect though....everything in there is REALLY lightweight. I intend to weigh it when I get time. I've got to scrape off all the insulation that is stuck onto the metalwork. I noticed in the pic that I forgot to remove the rear windscreen wiper/motor....damm!! that might of got us to 13.3
  7. Willowbank 24/8/04 1995 white GTS25T driver mick51 60ft 2.113 et 13.496 mph 104.48 mods nil catback exhaust removed, interior stripped (see pics) Dunlop circuit radial slicks 230x17 mick ran 13..790 at 103.61 on the 205's the car came from Japan on http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Track%20Car/
  8. $150.....This is a bullsh*t figure....don't you guys actually READ the posts. I gave the actual cost of hiring WILLOWBANK for the day to give an example of how the costs are worked out. I have no idea how much it costs to hire QR for the day but cost to you would use the same formula ie cost for the day divided by number of entrants.
  9. Daiken Part numbers for Nismo G Max Twin Plate if the platesare 200mm OD with a 140mm ID part no.s DM01DA & DM01DB if they are 215mm OD with a 150mm ID part no.s TA003 & 92382024A
  10. If we need to make up numbers we could always invite another club
  11. Yes I'm interested. The race car is having it's first run at the drags tomorrow so I miss the sprints. However there will be the Wednesday Afternoon sprints on !st of September and I intend to be there for a last run in the 4 Door. A private day would be good... the cost will depend on how many attend. eg to hire Willowbank for the day cost $4500...max 60 cars = $75 each for the day. Of course we can have more cars at QR

  13. Stock R33 at the drag strip Am I going to get any benefit by simply removing the exhaust,up to and including the cat, would the car even run properly. Also whats the rev cut on the stock car....it's a long time since I had a Stockky
  14. The exhaust camwheel retarded 3 or 4 degrees is good for enhanced torque low and midrange. In all our dyno runs stock and modified power tended to drop off fairly sharply over 7000. In the early days we hit 8200 on a regular basis.....but not anymore. After 3 years of street/drag/track the engine still doesn't use any oil between 5K changes so I guess the revs didn't hurt it any. When you get it tuned and see your power curve then you can decide on your rev limit
  15. Could have got Aussie made GTR type sideskirts for $300
  16. Yoy'r gonna need an aweful lot of patience if you'r waiting for a manual soarer. a cheaper (and safer) car to drift than a GTR how about the SX series or an R32 GTST or the Ceffie
  17. 1: You can check at a glance that all the wheel studs are at least evenly tightened 2: Radials on the front and crossplies on the rear can lead to handling problems at high speed
  18. don't forget the 4 or 5 point seatbelts, they are what make the real difference. For convenience in a street/strip car, you can get ringbolts that replace your normal seatbelt retaining bolts, and race belts that clip onto the rings, so you don't need to replace your 3 pointer . On race days just clip on the belts and push the 3 pointer out of the way. Of course you need to add 2 ringbolts for the rear of the 4 points and one on the floor if a 5 point
  19. Stock R33 at the drag strip Am I going to get any benefit by simply removing the cat back exhaust, would the car even run properly. Also whats the rev cut on the stock car....it's a long time since I had a Stockky
  20. Clinton I'd be interested in having a look at them...befor or during fitting. pm me if you'r willing
  21. Don't be an idiot!! take it in to a brake specialist ....fast. I would just love to be in heavy traffic and have my brakes come on for no apparant reason
  22. Mr Turbo Australia came up on MSN Citisearch....but...clicking on it revealed that he was no longer on line with them, His website is defunct. If I were you I'd buy elswhere just to be safe. He gives an address and a busuness name but no land line phone...just a mobile....very suss!. If i'm wrong i'll apologise..but "once bitten twice shy"
  23. The replacement filter is just what it says....it is a replacement filter for someone who has a car specific filter kit and needs to replace just the filter. The kit includes an adapter plate to bolt the filter to the AFM...if you haven't got the adapter plate you will need to get one . thus it sounds like you need a filter Kit to suit the Q45 afm. The pod does not attach to the vehicle it attaches to the AFM and there is usually a bracket to brace the AFM to the vehicle
  24. No ..it requires an adapter...read the description on Greenline
  25. I thought GTR's had an aluminium bonnet. Is this a GTR bonnet or a GTR copy made to fit a GTST
