  1. What will it do in 4th??? Have you got a speed limiter set too low
  2. I think it's probably not worth the extra cash. the system works well with the one way valve ensuring that the line to the wastegate loses any contained boost pressure as soon as you take your foot off. If you'r finding that boost builds too slowly it's possible that the wastegate is starting to open too soon. This is controlled by the other valve. I found that the system is sensitive to it's ambient temp. In the Audi it sits against the firewall on the cool side of the motor ( The origional car lives on the Gold Coast) The usual mount point in the Skyline is in a place that can get hot. Thats why I moved it inside the airbox The reason I finally removed it was I couldn't keep the same boost in all gears, eg 1.2Bar in 1 and 2, 1.4Bar in 3 and up to 1.7 bar in 4th + an E-Boost came up at a good price. I never had a problem with slow boost buildup or falling off. I was on full boost by 3100rpm in any gear and at least 60%boost by 2700 rpm. It is a good system....but you need to really understand how it works and be prepared to fiddle to get it spot on.
  3. This is a slightly neater way to do it Later on I put it inside the cold air box http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/members/5...takes%20003.jpg
  4. I've replaced most of them with the 8mm 'christmas trees' they do just as good a job and are MUCH more reusable
  5. I'm quite happy with the Yoko S03's on my road wheels too..... and quite frankly I would much rather have crappy tyres on my race wheels than my road wheels
  6. Ha! call that a 60ft time?? I've had a 6.59 you pussies  Tonight my best were 2.097,2.082 and 2.029 got no top end though best I could do was 13.8 at 100.27mph and 13.9 at 104....good enough to win 5 out of 8 runs though 2 of the losses went to a 10.9 at 130mph and a 14.09 at 126mph. Got myself a rotary too + Holden ute and a commidor Fairly average night topped off by collecting a $150 fine ...89 in a 70 zone. After cruising all the way home just under the limits I had a momentary lapse of attention.....at the end of the Centenary Hwy....of all places....it really pissed me off!!! Nice to see you guys out there. knore seems to have got off to a good start Addit: I got track slicks....but I got no squat
  7. I haven't had any problems I usually hit ign. then wait until my Apexi RSM has fired up before hitting the starter
  8. knore Gates open 5pm runs start at 5.30pm. I intend to get there at 5pm so I can set the car up. If you would like to meet up and run out together that would be fine. I'll be leaving my place at Enoggera about 4pm so pm me or 0408 177 150 if you want to
  9. Yes, sorry Nick....but it's compulsary.....you risk having you'r car confiscated if you don't. Nexus9 see you there
  10. Anyone joining me out there ?? come and say hello
  11. Hmmm!! I would really have liked to make this cruise... but damn!!!! I just got a splinter in my finger, Oh well...maybe next time. Cyrus... I had hoped that I had left schoolboy toilet humour behind when I left England 40 years ago.........apparantly not.
  12. That Hyperboost wastegate control appears to be a pressure relief valve ie one half of the Audi DIY boost control as used by SK,myself and several others....$199 seems a bit steep.
  13. Was at the historic racing today and saw a Shelby GT350(+everything else on the track) absolutely blown off by a pretty much standard 1963 Marcos running a Volvo 1800cc motor.......Musclecars.....Ha!!
  14. What is this work? of which you all speak, and, most of you seem to dislike so much Slip sell your car buy a house.buy another one next year, repeat this process for 5 years meantime keep your job and in 5 years you should be able to support an R34GTR
  15. Buy local is usually the cheapest way....does not have to mean lower quality....just make sure you get one with offset fin design..airflow is through the core at 45 degrees makes more area and more time for cooling. addit:I think a thermostat is good if you use the car on the road as well. GTR properly set up for track with oil cooler big sump/baffles etc takes too long to warm up in normal driving
  16. Wait til the weather gets a bit warmer...then....BLASTOFF!!! don't forget if it's at Noosa we're all going to have to crash somewhere
  17. Haha! we did that little exercise at the racetrack today. The fuel pump wasn't in right and I was getting fuel cut in the corners. About an hour of fiddling and swearing and finally Belgarian got it in for us. The fuel sender is the large white plastic thingy that sits to the driverside of the pump.

    White Falcon?

  19. 51jay

    White Falcon?

Hmmm! whould this count as Rice?? Still....you don't have to own a Skyline to join the forum, maybe it's his 2nd car
  20. We don't seem to be connecting with you??? You STILL have not quoted the offsets on the wheels you'r getting....so....on the info you have actually given us your wheels MAY or MAY NOT fit!!! it depends entirely on what the offsets of those particular wheels are. :headspin:
  21. At this time my road car is also my race car and bonnet pins are mandatory for some of the events I enter. Also I would be uneasy about a fibreglass bonnet with only one lock in the centre. I was actually considering adding 2 more evenly spaced as in the V8's I'm sure they'r there for a reason. Hope that unconfuses you
  22. They are tyre sizes you quoted not wheel sizes they will fit or not fit depending on the offset of your wheels 235 40 18 front 265 35 18 rear fit fine on mine but 255 35 17 on different wheels fouled the rear suspension.....depends entirely on your wheel offset
  23. NOT on my multi rear facing vented pretend Carbon Fibre bonnet........ but on the front bonnet locks. $75 they are going to have to prise out of me in court
  24. Have you suggested to them that you will be taking all your insurance to whoever insures the Stagea for the most reasonable cost??
  25. If it's the FC-DataLogit you mean....you need an interface box and cable supplied with the Data Logit software/ I have the software for R33 GTR and GTS25T and the interface
