The best octane booster for our usage is Toluene. There have been several threads on this. Add approx 5% to bring octane rating up just over 100. You qote reasons why it gives more power in your first post, if you reread it carefully. It will ONLY benefit if you tune the motor up to the new octane rating

Just curious....what boost control are all you guys using and have any of you tried out the Audi DIY boost control using good quality valves ie better quality than the Norgren valves from the article.

Do you have a parking aid on the front left corner of the front bar. when you press the switch a little aeriel comes up there to help you park it. hit it again and down she goes. Thats what it sounds like, with maybe a stuffed motor, the relay clicks but no up. Welcome to the forums....snarky lot arn't we....'specially akkynan..... :wassup:

Did you buy it priv atly or from a dealer?? If from a dealer then he's responsible for the debt. Iwouldnt be handing over the car just yet. I'd be wanting a detailed description of the car including condition at the time they took on the debt. There is nothing to stop you returning the car to that condition befor you give it back. It is all they are entitled to. Id also be chasing up the guy who sold it without permission from the loan company. You can also (with their agreement) sell the car yourself and pay them the outstanding loan. Iassume it's now worth a lot more than the loan due

The HICAS system comes on with the ignition and stays on until ignition is turned off. To the HICAS the blocking of the sensor would be seen as a major problem as it would prevent the system from working. The system acts to stabalize the car on exit from corners or whenever the back end is trying to get out of line. The actual wheel movement in operation is less than 2 degrees. Generally speaking it activates (as opposed to 'turns on' ) over aprox 80Kpm when you are driving hard as that is when it is needed. It is not a parking aid, it does not reduce your low speed turning circle. It would be better for all on these forums if people stopped making statements based only on hearsay or seccond and third hand doubtful info. If you turn the front wheels lock to lock whilst at a standstill... the rear wheels will probably move as well HICAS or no HICAS becausse the car will move croat you were told WRONG

Another big saving would be replacing side and rear glass with Lexan

Bonnet saved 14KG, bootlid saved 12Kg, fenders wouldn't be very much, body kit probably about 10Kg over the fibreglass equiv. rear seat 9Kg pass seat 9Kg. I weighed mine with mick51in it (65Kg) it came up 1304Kg with half tank of fuel. Thats pretty much stock with 400r front bar which is probably a little heavier than origional + the Recaro driver seat is heavier than origional.

I think they are essentially built on a Skyline floorpan so don't know if they would be strong enough to tow a Skyline for any length of time. I'm getting one to replace myold Rangie.....but I won't be towing more than about 1000Kg

If you use R34 lights you'll probably need to use R34 bonnett to match them ....then you'll probably need front bar to suit R34. I've just gone that route putting R33series 2 lights on my series 1. Series 1 bonnet and front bar no longer lined up properly

Standard bonnet weighs 18Kg Cheapie c/f bonnets such as offerred by UAS and others are about 10Kg Genuine exxy c/f weigh around 4KG if stiff enough for street car

Rb25DET is not a GTR. There may be shared components but I don't think the GTS 4 drivetrain and diff is as strong as the GTR. I have heard of quite a few R33 GTS25T's that have had an RB26DETT swapped into them and i believe an R32 GTS4 has had the same treatment, so it is entirely possible and you might have to swap in a GTR diff + GTR ECU. It will fit in the engine bay
