  1. No it won't cutting vents is ok....best to site them where you don't have to cut through underbonnet reiforcement
  2. Very tasteful....just a little bit too subdued for my liking
  3. Don't know about the tests in the first post, as far as I can see they all lapped more than twice as fast in the wet as they did in the dry and they all stopped quicker in the wet than the dry, seems just a little odd???
  4. Why did you stand by and let them put cheap oil in your car?? How often do you check the oil level and was it ever too high...eg...overfilled?? Have you checked the oil pressure?? Have you compression checked the other 3 cylenders yet??
  5. I agree with commodore.... they must rub their hands with glee when they see you innocents walking in!!! Dremen...If you'r worried about the noise you'r turbo is making and you can't work it out yourself take it to a Turbo specialist and ask them to have a listen. Why waste time fiddling around with other issues like studs and bovs, and only ever take it to people who are very familiar with Skylines. If you want to run a car like a Skyline you either work at increasing you'r income so you can pay people to work on it or you start putting together a decent tool kit and start learning how to do it yourself.I would never pay anyone $80 an hour to unbolt bits off my car. I've owned orphen type cars all my life.... Which is why I now have a 5x8meter workshop and a huge range of tools and equipment. I'd rather stuff it up myself than pay out large sums of money to have someone else stuff it up.
  6. 400R front and rear GTR sideskirts, I have the same kit, but not fitted yet, it appears that you can't get 400R sideskirts for the 4 door.
  7. If the kit parts are on a GTR I think they won't fit on a GTST]
  8. Datalogit is now available for R33GTST apparantly for the time being you order for the GTR but specify it's for the GTST.
  9. ] You weigh them!! Stock mag 16x6.5" with 205 50 16 =19.25Kg Modena 2 17x8.5" with 245 40 17 =20KG " " 17x9.5" with 255 40 17 =21.5Kg Weds sports racing C005 18x8 with 235 35 18 =18Kg 18x9 with 265 35 18 =19.5Kg
  10. Apparrantly the PFC's for the R33 and R34 are not interchangeable

  12. All 3" turbo back exhausts are not created equal, some can even leave you with less power. Just like building turbos it all comes down to the guy who puts it together
  13. It's not actually a leak....Nissan put it there for a reason. Did any of you happy little modders find out what it does before you changed it..........Just curious...
  14. I've been running over 1bar for 18 months now usually 1 bar for street and 1.3 bar for strip and track, most I've used is 1.5bar but injectors were maxing out at that. Engine is still fine...uses absolutely nil oil between 5000K changes
  15. R33 Stock bonnet 18Kg UAS Carbon bonnet 10Kg Stock front seat 18Kg ( My Recaro is quite a bit heavier) combined rear sear 18Kg You don't save much over the stock wheels/205's if you have much bigger lightweights I have Weds sports racing 18x8&9 with 235 40and 265 35 overall saving is about 0.5Kg. About the same for my Modena 2's 17x8.5&9.5 with 245 40 and 265 35 Turbo is quite heavy....you could save a few Kilos there
  16. You shouldn't be overheating at all, I would go and have it checked out at a radiator specialist
  17. ARE fmic are as good as you can get, Hybrid are pretty good for the price. If you want to eyeball both + Drift King and Rob Bliss turboback exhausts, they are all lying around my driveway, but don't waste any time they are all going back together over the next few days, just as soon as I can get rid of 4 Doorz miserable excuse of a 528i BMW. We've spent the best part of 2 days trying to get the exhaust manifold off !!! *** &&& !!!. With friends like Steve you sure don't need any enemies!!!
  18. benm.... car looks very nice indeed!! I've just got a fibreglass 400R front and rear but had to settle for GTR type side skirts (4 door) The rear isn't bad though the way it's set up for attachment is not well designed and is going to be lots of extra work. The front is really ratsh*t...pretty poor finish and nil attention to detail , whereever i've drilled a hole or made a cut i've struck dryglassfibre the thing wasn't even wetted out properly. Are the origional Jap versions of these kits plastic or fibreglass??
  19. Can't see how a faulty switch would drop only one headlight.
  20. RB30DET might be a better way to go
  21. Hmmmm!! You don't really need Stainless exhaust, by the time a mild steel one rusts you will probably have a different car...so..... turbo back 3"and hi flow cat about $1200, Rob Bliss or Drift King Hybrid FMIC 600x300x78 and pipes about $1200 Power FC from nengun or Greenline about $1200 Apexi Power intake pod filter about $140 not really needed a K&N filter for your stock airbox will flow just as well but won't sound as sexy. up the boost to 10 to 12 psi with a 2 stage boost controller and you should be very close or there. To my mind it's worth moving the throttle body to the front of the inlet plenum. It shortens the pipe from the ic to the plenum gives better access to the engine , plugs etc and simplifies fitting a cold air box if you use a pod filter. Read the appropriate threads in the performance forum.
  22. How about black white and silver http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/DSC_7499.jpg
  23. In Qld you can drive anything you can register.....cars that is. If you provided a state or city in your sig you'd have more chance of an accurate answer
  24. I wouldn't have one . It's nice to have ......but....sooner or later it will bite you ....hard!!
