I could never get my R33 into hicas diag either. Finally took it to a workshop that had the Nissan Consult stuff and they checked it out for me, After that I get into diag no problem

The size T-piece you need depends on the inside diam of the vac hose you cut into and the outside diam of the nylon tube and the bits you have to join the nylon to the rubber vac hose.

Have you actually set a boost cut level. Mine is set at 1.46bar If i just touch up to it in 1st or 2nd i get a misfire if i hit it hard under full load in 4th i get complete ignition cut until the revs are back down to zero then ig comes back on and i can restart.

You should drive one befor you decide especially if you'r going for the R32GTR. It's a lot less civilised and forgiving than an R33GTS25T. For my money the only GTR to have would be the R34 Buy a cheaper investment property, Iknow a couple of good ones under A$100K.

As far as I know there aren't any. Aust wreckers specialise in selling parts. You cannot import a wrecked Jap car into Aust. and rebuild it for the road....not legally anyway. Your best bet would be to contact Japcar importers .eg Prestige Imports

I suggest you guys buy yourselves a Daiwoo Lanos and have fun pretending to drive fast around town. When you understand that racing around suburban streets is not a good idea in any car and possibly you gain some understanding of why people buy high performance cars that cannot be let loose anywhere in Aus (except possibly the NT) You can come back and enjoy a Skyline for what it is or if you have the bread a Ferrari, M3, Lambo or even Mclaran.

Does anyone actually know how effective it is as a cooling aid. If it works...it's a very cheap mod.......Qld Raceway is a stinking hot place in summer.

"at night i saw it spike to 13psi which is a worry" HeeHee! Mine spikes to 1.5Bar dropping back to 1.1...you think you've got worries. Iused the Turbosmart duel boost which worked quite well on the stock turbo, but tended to spike quite badly on the hi-flowed one. Changed to the Audi diy setup and that worked very well until recently. Now i'm getting severe spiking and a marked rise in boost level in 3rd and 4th gear eg spiking to 1.3Bar and quickly dropping back to 0.9Bar in 1st and 2nd, hitting the boost cut (1.46Bar) in third and hitting the boost cut so hard in 4th that ignition completely cuts out I have to wait until revs drop to zero befor ignition returns and I can restart the car. This happens with both boost controllers so if anyone has any ideas....I'd love to hear them.
