  2. dineth.... Best I can do is pic of an early attempt at a soft cold air box using an R33 GTR intake in my GTS25T http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Air%...20Box%20003.jpg
  3. I think avgas is leaded petrol, Toluene won't kill your 02 sensor. It's worthwhile to check out a group buy and see if we can reduce the price
  4. I don't think it applies to the Apexi ECU, only the stock Nissan one. The mapping put into the Apexi should stay until you actually change it. However ....if i'm wrong you better start saving those $$$$
  5. locutus_of_bris fill it "til it starts to come out of the filler hole.
  6. Do you have an Aussie Auto shop there? they will get it in for you . Mine cost $120 was in the next day. or you must have a Repco, any place like that can get it in for you. or you can get it online at www.redlineoil.com.au at $120 a US gallon (3.8L)
  7. In a couple of recent threads re gearbox capacities I have stated that the Nissan spec of 2,8L for the Rb25 DET box should be used rather than the time honored method of filling until fluid just starts to seep out from the filler hole. I have now been convinced that I was wrong ( by someone who should know) and in future will be filling mine using the time honored method, for my box this comes to 3.4L
  8. Is that what pineapples are? (cradles bushes) Yes they stiffen up the diff assembly, they can be installed in different configurations for drag strip or track or just improved overall stiffness.....mine are set up for drag
  9. You only get more power if you retune for it From memory adding 10% gives you about 102 octane
  10. you could also put the stock air intake back on it feeds plenty of air into the vicinity of the pod. You can also use the stock GTR intake with a a little bit of ingenuity, that flows twice as much as the GTS one. unless your making huge horsepower there is absolutly no need for cutting holes and poking tubes throughto the front bar. Believe me I've been both ways. However if you'r using a pod you definately need to seperate it off from the engine bay
  11. Toluene....Methyl Benzine.... same thing. Autobarn price has gone up $48 for 20L couple of months ago
  12. Yen seems to be slowly heading down again.....buy now if your buying
  13. bless_you.....visit www.faq.reel-zone.com/ it is the info area of Skylines Downunder, has all you need to know
  14. ph1....Thanks, it is the G-max,i'll start chasing the bolts. Do you by any chance have a part no for the clutch plates, are they identical or is one of them a solid plate. Anyway thanks for the help
  15. benm....from your first post ...you could benefit from some research into how to change gear
  16. 255 35 is the optimal size for 18x9ins rim to retain speedo accuracy
  17. It replaces from on top of the dash.......easy. main thing is when you run the diagnostics dash should be in sunlight or shine a torch on the sensor
  18. Both you wrap the inlet pipe to stop it from adsorbing heat from the engine compartment you wrap the dump pipe back to the cat to contain the heat in the exhaust 1) hotter exhaust stream means higher velocity airstream past the exhaust wheel of the turbo. 2) helps to stop radiated heat from the dump pipe heating up the engine bay edit: oops ! Joel has allready said it:D
  19. With regard to cooling is there any benefit to swapping to an electronic water pump and fans
  20. Sydneykid The clutch assembly is Nismo could' n't see any id on the flywheel but they came together. F'wheel is 6Kg. People who trued it up said it was the hardest metal they had encountered. It's the disparity in the outer and inner diameters of the Xedy plate and the pressure plate that bother me. butthead: There's no problem bolting on the flywheel problem is the clutch plate fouls the heads of the flywheel bolts. I wondered if you'r supposed to use special bolts with shallower heads to provide cleareace
  21. Any import wrecker should have one of those
  22. seems to me it is set up to negate the leaning off of cyl 5 and 6 at high boost pressures. Being a stock item it's not up to copeing with aftermarket big turbos etc. Hmmmm! does this mean that a properly set up aftermarket regulator should actually replace the one at the rear of the rail, not just tack on in line after the front one.???
  23. Can anyone tell me if you need to use replacement flywheel bolts when installing the above clutch on a lightened flywheel. Can anyone say if the clutch plates in the pic are the correct ones for the clutch they are shown on. Clutch is for my R33 http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Nism...late/Nismo2.JPG http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Nism...late/Nismo3.JPG http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Nism...late/Nismo7.JPG
