  1. A properly built genuine carbon fibre bonnet should be about half the weight of a fibreglass one
  2. Get your dead turbo hi flowed but remember you want to keep the ball bearing typy body.
  3. Cost me $1600 to get a Nismo twin plate rebuilt locally using Nismo Parts . Hope to put it in this weekend Do you use the stock release bearing with it ...does anyone know
  4. Iv'e got 265 35 18 Yokohama GP Grand Prix E spec I think they are a Japanese tyre....came with the wheels. They really respond to a burnout we ran 4 runs at around 2.2 to 2.4 60ft and 13.7 to 13.8 then did 2 runs after huge burnouts for 1.8 60ft and 13.3 for both See Skyline 4 door burnout in the general forum late Thurs night short video
  5. BOOSTD Are yoy crossing the line in 3rd or 4th gear. We managed a 1.8 60ft time on Sat after a huge burnout but still only got 13.308 at 103.21mph. We have around 235rwhp
  6. If it has the buttons it was fitted with a front spoiler at the factory. This operated automatically in as much as it comes down when the speed goes over about 70 or 80 kph and goes back up when speed drops below that. The buttons are a convenience to assist with cleaning. They only work with the ignition off and if you have it in the down position it goes back up when you start the car. It's not much to look at but is quite effective at stabalising the car at high speed

    New 4 door round...

Not photoshop......just no springs ricknismo.....how's the GTR going. We got down to 13.308 at 103mph tonight. 60ft 1.87. Mick51 was showing me how it's done in my R33
  8. Lambo stock suspension will be fine on the track just not as quick as lowered and or stiffer one. Would like to be there but can't afford it ......will be at the dragstrip in the evening. Locutus.......Last time we did a track day we stayed on and did the drags aswell
  9. Water pump for Skyline $A125 Light globes are are just lightglobes you can buy them anywhere from around $5 up to $150 depending on how gullible or ignorant you are and what quality you want . Overall they would be no more expensive to run than any other Jap car. Iv'e had mine for 18 months , hit the race track a few times and the drag strip many times. All i've needed is routine maintainance. The expence comes in when you get the almost inevitable urge to make it go faster and or look prettier..... for me ....about $12000......so far
  10. 11. Mick got a couple of tyres and allignment at Toombul all up price turned out to be the same as our local Bob Jane. Price on the tyres was the same as phone quote from 3 other Bob Janes, so where is the advantage??
  12. Sounds like the box was overfilled at 3.4 litres. Nissan spec for the RB25DET is 2.8L or 2.6L I forget which. I detailed it all in another thread some time ago
  13. The bottom fitting of the shocks is different they won't fit
  14. Simmo: I agree, I would go 50mm rather than 40mm if you'r going to do any track work, also I think the pillowtops are essential. As I said the ride is a bit rough for me on rough roads and I spend a lot of time on them. However you can swap the complete suspension over in about an hour so I am using stock suspension with Whiteline sway bars and I swap the suspension over for track days or sometimes just for a change.

    New 4 door round...

Someone told me you had the # plate 'mick51' ?? Told you wrong...... it's 51JAY on my R33.....Mick can't afford personalised plates ....spends all his money repairing the wheels he keeps bending. Ho Hum!!!
  16. I've got Whiteline coilovers with 50mm DMS shocks on all the softest settings, they are great on the track and on smooth roads but too hard for country roads and I spend a lot of time on them. They handle fine but the ride is just too rough
  17. We've got full harness in R32 and R33 they are both the same. we replaced the normal seatbelt retaining bolts with the eyebolts so when we go to the track we just clip on the full harness on top of the normal seatbelts. You should be able to get the ringbolts anywhere you can buy a full harness Try AutoBarn for a start We mounted the rear full harness eyebolts on the rear parcel shelf. You need the 2ins square reinforcing plates to go under the shelf at the mounting points. I suppose you could use the existing lower rear mounting points ...we didn't think of that!!
  18. They do have a web page
  19. Not to worry PranK.........A very dapper Squizz and his gorgeous lady in red more than adequately represented the "out of towners". All in all it was a really good roll up. Can I suggest that next time we wear name badges. With the best will in the world....a lot of us are not good at approaching strangers... even Skyline owning ones, and for me, my 60+yr old memory is not good with names....my elder son ....whatsisname....can attest to that
  20. They only need changing if they are worn, I assume if they were they would have been done with the timeing belt. Lots of people, including me, replace the water pump along with the belt as their life expectancy is about the same. Gavin Wood did mine and didn't feel it neccessary to replace any of the other stuff you'r talking about.
  21. Where can I see what Impul kitted R33 looks like??
  22. Ronin 09 Flair the guards ....and dream on personally I think at the rear ... the bigger the better, but on the front ...really wide tyres spoil the feel of the car and promote tramlineing etc. Micks R32 with 245 40 Pirelli on 17x8.5 at the front is truly horrible. My R33 with 235 35 on 18x8 at the front is nowhere near as bad but both cars feel a lot nicer with stock 205 on the front . I think 225 would be about right on a 7ins rim.
  23. ripp off???? 25cents for Nissan or 20 cents for after market of unknown quality
  24. I've posted this a couple of times now .......but here goes again 17x8.5 offset +30 with 245 40 fit nicely on front or rear of R32 GTST and R33GTS25T 17x9.5 offset +40 with 255 40 are too big for the front of street car, fit fine on rear of R33 with stock suspension, need 5mmspacer with coilover. Fit fine on R32 with slightly lowered susp and rolled guards + needed stick on wheelweights on inner rim. 18x8 offset +31 with 235 35 fits fine front of R33 18x9 offset +34 with 265 35 fit fine on rear of R33 with stock susp. or coilover factory for R32 turbo and R33 is 16x6.5 with 205 50 offset not known
