  1. Skyline33 what are the offsets??
  2. Boring....boring.... 8 ball is the only way to go. About $7 from sports dept Target then a bit of drilling and tapping and your there. Put it on a C's short shifter and your in Skyline heaven
  3. Not all coilovers are adjustable. If yours are they are set too soft, if they are not they are stuffed. Take the easy way out ....pop into your nearest Bob Janes and say " Can you tell me if these Shocks are adjustable please" and take it from there
  4. Car is fine now Rule no 1......any probs with idle or rough running....check for vacuum leak first, then sludged up idle control or throttle sensor. Corrected both....no more problem
  5. The origional PI was the Mk1 body with 2.5l lucas mechanical fuel injection. Mine actually my first of 3 or 4 was a Triumph 2000 MD an Aussie Special Edition I believe. It had chromed wire spoke wheels and an MD badge I swapped in the 2500cc PI motor and Injection. Used to piss off a lot of hotty Holdens and Falcons and blew off my mates GTS Monaro (go the V8 power!!) The Triumph 2000 and 2500 were and still are a very underated car
  6. Round about that time my family and friends were in a Falcon station waggon that blew a front tyre at around 100kph.......it did 3 complete rolls ending up on it's roof....they were very lucky to survive. One reason I've always driven imports and never owned a Ford or Holden Back to Skyline.... it drives and handles so well I just can't believe it turns into an uncontrollable heap of junk if a tyre goes flat. or ....is the average Skyline driver incompetent??? come on guys......how about some informed comment
  7. Haven't had a blowout for more than 25 years. Had two about 10 minutes apart whilst doing well over 90 miles an hour in a Triumph 2000 MD PI. No panic....no drama.. just a loud bang followed by a strong but easily controllable pull to the left. Only problem was by the time I had stopped from that speed the inertubes were totally destroyed just a collection of little rubber balls and shreds inside the tyre...........So much for modern suspensions!!!.... maybe it's the HICAS which causes problems
  8. up to date pics added to link
  9. Hmmmm!... That's bad luck mate...... however... I'm more than a little surprised to hear that a Skyline becomes uncontrollable after a blowout at 80 kph ???
  10. Modena Two 2 piece alloy rims 2 @ 17x8.5" +30 245 40 Pirelli Rosso PZero 90% tread 2 @ 17x9.5" +40 255 40 Falken ZE 502 inner edges worn to illegal ( great tyres for drifting despite the width) R33 8.5's fit fine front or rear, 9.5's may need 5mm spacer if you have lowered coilovers otherwise fine R32 8,5's fit fine front or rear, 9.5's may need to roll the rear guards, especially if lowered suspension. These wheels have just been trued ( not needed) and polished asking $2400 http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Wheels/
  11. MRE........See!! Told ya you couldn't drift an automatic!
  12. Nice one Dave....see you Sat night
  13. Once you've been driving with a short shifter you'll never go back. I've got C's short shifter in my R33. Been to the drags many times now + some circuit work and normal driving and my syncros are fine as is my stock clutch. By comparison the stock shift in mick's R32 is long and sloppy and vague.....of course he's been driving it for a few weeks now so the gearbox is probably stuffed....
  14. I chewed up a HSV Clubsport at Willowbank few weeks back and I only ran a 14.3

    Skidpan Day

Can't do anything in Feb but i'm a definate for any time after that .
  16. MRK25T...... The Power FC is straight swap plug in and go. It does everything the nissan one does but has different mapping to start off with as it is performance oriented. However to get most out of it you do need to get it reprogrammed to your particular car. $1700 for the tuning and set up is a rip off....see someone else
  17. Silver- Arrows.....where else would you have a sleeper
  18. Looking at the ECU in it's mounted position from the passenger seat, pin 7 is the 15th pin from the top in the row of pins twards the centreline of the car, there are two rows of pins so the row furthest from the door. You just need to splice into the line from the ecu plug
  19. Boxhead.......cos he scraped a bit of paint off.....and they weren't blue underneith
  20. Hmmm! fella's got no style........it definately needs chrome trim round the vent openings.
  21. On the web page they suggest setting it about 2000revs below redline......that maybe ok for gearchanging ....but I don't fancy dropping the clutch at 5700 on the start line!!! especially with around 17psi boost
  22. Silver-Arrows.......with a vented carbon fibre bonnet your sleeper days will be long gone. I have the same thought ...but where is the right place for the vents. I'd like to do something to help with the heat soak when you sit in the staging lanes for 30 minutes, Wed 1st at Willowbank it was over an hour between runs and that was if you went straight back around. Do you know what the stock bonnet and boot weigh?? they'r pretty hefty so far Stock 16ins mags with 205 50 tyres 19.25kg each
  23. Silver-Arrowz have you thought about an electric water pump. I replaced my pump about a month ago along with the timing belt cost $150 Nissan item.
