  1. Hope to be there with my 4 door,...it's been more than a year since my last run. Trying for high 12's...though the twin plate won't help.
  2. most people use a spare input shaft, which is what I've got shanef you are welcome to come and get it. If I go into town befor weekend I will deliver it. give me a call 5463 6707
  3. I've got a set with reasonable rubber pm me with an offer if you'r interested
  4. Be helpfull if we knew where you were. I've got one but i'm in Croftby 1 1/2 hours from Bris (25Klm south west of Boonah) Could possibly be in Bris befor Sat
  5. To be legal you need the Ford GT type that are inset into the hood. Anything that sticks up is a defect. Trust me I know
  6. Sounds like he is selling it un registered. you might have to make a few changes to register it in SA...or anywhere for that matter
  7. 1 piece wheels are usually cast and usually heavy but probably better for all round on road use. The 2 and 3 piece wheels are usually much better quality, forged and much lighter ie my 18x 9 Weds Sports Racing wheels with 265 35 tyres are lighter than the stock 16x6 with 205 55.
  8. Check out Sydneykid's group suspension buy in the group buy forum , that would be about the best thing you could do to get your R33 handling. as to cars.. mick51 is quicker around Queensland Raceway in my R33 4 door than he is in his R32 4 door
  9. I think you'll find that the stock suspension in the 4 door Skyline is quite a bit "sportier" than the Statesman. I spend about equal time on country roads in an '03 Camry and my 4 door. At legal speeds the Camry is much smoother and quieter. On the other hand a 100kph bend in the Camry that raises your pulse rate a bit would be 145 in the 4 door.
  10. Bar is held in by 2 screws at each end got at from below inside the frontbar, may have 2 more screws at the bottom if you still have the plastic inner guards. remove grill then 3 screws or plastic pins across front of bar at top, clip under each headlamp assembly...just pull bar straight out..don't forget to unplug indicaters
  11. What are you using for front indicators?? In the R33 they are combined in the driving light case
  12. There is the little matter of what's behind that part of the dash..have you had a look? Also in the in the advent of an accident...you wouldn't want your passengers forhead burried in your TV...would you?? And ..yes..I do know about seatbelts.
  13. For that price ....sounds like a very dodgy mileage

    Im a newbie

Hmmmm! Sounds like a sensible young bloke.....welcome aboard
  15. Only if I can do it in my Skyline
  16. It comes with practice mate bits shouldn't cost more than $3 or $4 for smaller sizes... check out your local Bunnings.....just DON'T get made in China. Ordinary high speed steel is good enough. Idea is to put enough weight on so the bit bites in instead of just spinning.....a bit tricky with a 2mm bit
  17. You don't mention what size bolts they were or what size drill bit you bought. if the bolts were ...say...9mm diam I would start with a 3mm or 3.5mm drill bit and go through with that then enlargen the hole with a 6mm then finally 9mm. you need a fairly slow revving drill my preference being around 600 or 700rpm and lean on it as hard as you can without breaking the bit. High revs and not enough pressure you just produce heat and blunt the bit.
  18. Which plug is missing?? and if the plug from the igniter is there how many wires does it have??
  19. ok If you can't make it give me a call
  20. Tough about the leg....know how you feel. Wjth regard to the above would it be possible to call in and see you on Friday
  21. To do a decent job you need carbide tipped holesaw and a heavy duty slow revving drill (600 rpm..tons of torque)
  22. Can us over forties come
  23. Thanks SK......I guess I'd better add the locking kit before we take the car out again.
  24. Attend it........but in your mum's Corolla....and ask all the questions you want
  25. I just pulled the HICAS computer on my race R33 and so far no problems
