there are places in Adelaide that are very familia with Skylines take it to one of them!!

Actually you sound like you don't know anything.... the shonky aftermarket workshops dream about customers like you. Here's some advice 1) Drive your car for 6 months and get to know it and how it performs. 2) READ all of these forums + the SDU forums + the SDU FAQ page go through the back pages of the performance and maintainance forums, everything you need is covered over and over and over here. 3) Buy the odd magazine "Hi Performance Imports" "Zoom" etc 4) When your ready, do your mods in the right order if you follow my advice you'll know what this is,you will also have a realistic idea of what you want and what you can expect in the way of gains from each mod. And remember, generally speaking the more outright power you get from it the less drivable on the road it will be and finally , someone in a less modded car than yours will come along and blow your wheels off........somewhere there is always a better driver Good luck and welcome(i mean it ) to our Skyline world.

NismoGirl my best so far at the drag strip is 15sec, My son mick's best time in my car is 14sec, same car different driver different time. ps If I can't catch up with the little bugger I'll just have to ban him from driving it

Also replace the fuse for the low beam also the high beam even if they look ok

$2000 !!!!! cough cough try $700

Skyline King has made a tentative offer to organise a Dyno Day Probably on the Gold Coast. I know from expearience with these forums that a lot of people will probably express interest. What i'd like to know, and probably Skyline King too, is how many would actually turn up for it on the day. For starters.....I am interested.....and I WILL turn up on the day
-
looks very nice but why keep the 180 speedo I thought you could get it in a 240...........nice thing about the Nismo is it shows to 320 and 11000 on the Tacho
-
I answered this for you in the SDU forums multiple postings are a bit of a pain
-
yeah i"ll be in that. You know who you are........... doing 180's whilst exiting the stageing lanes is probably not really cool........this time i'll put it down to youthfull enthusiance...... + problems transitting from Camry to Skyline.
-
I'm easy to spot Silver R33 4 door with a Burgundy front bar if that's not enough..... it will contain a little old greybeard with a big grin. and if that's not enough, being over 50 I can usually be found in the outside lane at 10kph under the current limit :shake:

Ithink it's pretty expensive, How many people could share. more to the point how about more SDU and Skylines Australia people entering the event. Going by the forums there's a heap of very quick, very fast Skylines out there.......or so they say -
BOOSTMEISTER Yes we'll definately be there providing it's not raining should get there about 6.15 or 30
-
About bloody time.... another week of teeth gnashing and it would have been soft diet for ever after why don't you bring it over one evening, we can line em up in the driveway, sit on the verandah and drool into a beer

Best place to see what you can to is Willowbank on tune and race nights. Next being Wed 19th. Cost $27 for you, car and one other(pit crew). It's pretty casual and you get as many runs as you can fit in depends on how many cars are there. See you there???
-
I might be in that if it eventuates Slip....... How do you feel about just snuggling ?
-
we went back for the Tune&race last Sat, Only got 2 runs each. God!! ther was some nice machinary there, prob because of Winternats this weekend. Nizman...... Go to Willowbank....look for something small and yellow doing 6sec runs hehehe thanks Rod If anyone is interested in discussing Skylines applied to drag racing please start a thread I'd love to join in. Interesting point especially for those programming G meters etc. On the weigh bridge at dragcombat scrutineering, the Skyline + Mick and me and 1/2 tank fuel weighed in at 3440lbs thats 1563.6Kg so if you'r punching in the Nissan figure of 1380Kg you'r output is going to be way off..... perhaps one reason for the oft stated inaccuracy of these devices, another being the wheel diam figure. Rod.... Yepoon??? bin ther dun that

ONARUN For sheer driving pleasure the Skyline tops the list followed by Alfa Romeo Berlina 1750, 1750 GTV,Triumph TR3A,BMW 3.0 si, Marcos V6GT,Hillman Imp (modded front camber makes all the difference) I wrote off a Honda 9S with 4000miles on the clock at Oran Park. Then there was Jag E Type 3.8, several M11 3.8 Jags, a handfull of Triumps.... one MD the rest Mk11 PI's, 2x Mk11A Sprites, MGB(big disapointment , that one) Izusu Bellet(new) Honda Civic (new) Suberu 4x4 waggon(new) Mazda E4100 based motorhome(self built) couple of minis of course,EH Holden, just long enough to drive it home ,recover from the trauma, and sell it, Citroin something 85model, and so it goes on. Right now I've got the Skyline, 82 Range Rover with P76 motor 89 4spd auto and interior+ Recaros. The 3.0 si is going but deregistered, minus front sidewindows(thanks you pricks) Marcos is a rolling body/chassis awaiting new engine gearbox..........suggestions anyone?? And now these arthritic doddery old fingers are tired of typing so i'll stop

I'm Jay age 61 retired Rn. non retired revhead and PC freek Hi Sciby.... you still with OCAU? I've got a 94 GTS25T Silver with a crappy red front bar Just getting into the drag scene alternating drives with my first born Mick AKA Lanos Driver. I've owned 70 or 80 cars.....mostly orphans..... and do most of the work on them myself. To the wankers who posted on a recent SDU thread regarding over 50's drivers, I see more dangerous young drivers than old, especially when it's raining.
-
Never heardof it, do you have a web site?
-
Thanks guys, actually my son Mick drove it on the day as up to now he's a seccond quicker than me(14.4 against 15,5). But I'm working on it Primo Why didn't you come over for a chat? and no no no they'r mine now  Megala I'd like to see that vid' is it on line anywhere?
-
JiMb0 Try around 32 - 35Psi in your tyres for starters and see how it feels, I'm assuming you know more about driving it than fixing it. I wouldn't get one of those wheel braces, go to Supercheap and get the one with the extending handle. Always tighten up with it short then you can always loosen with the handle extended about $12 I think ( great for girls and old guys Shell)
