  1. Seeing as you are in Bris I assume you would be doing some QR sprint days with a view to going on to the AASA Top Gear race series at QR The AASA race licence is the equivalent of the CAMS C3 or C4 licence and so may be enough to get your car into the country. to get one you need to have done five QR sprint days and attended the safety briefing on a Top Gear day or been observed with 10 consistantly fast laps during the qualifying session on a Top Gear day. The Top Gear series consists of 6 race days aprox 2 months apart finishing with a grand final for the year. Each race meeting consists of Qualifying laps on the Sportsman circuit then 2 races on each of the Sprint,Clubman and National circuits for a total of 6 races on 3 different circuits....not bad value for $120.00. Incidently my race car is an R33 GTS25T...just as much fun and a h*ll of a lot cheaper to race than a GTR
  2. don't think you will, aftermarket seems to be all fibreglass. How about a standard GTR bar they look ok and are plastic
  3. why don't you just clean it off and redo it with suitable paint??
  4. Factory standard boost is around 0.5psi rising to about 0.7psi over about 5000rpm. Your Turbosmart controller will allow you to get more boost than standard, but if you turn it right off you will only revert to factory standard boost not nil boost
  5. You have a pm

    Help Me!!!

Steve hasn't been around for a while but he still has the black R33 4 door I'm afraid my car is looking a bit too tatty for this kind of deal. thinks....maybe Belgarion nand me could form a rearguard....say a klm behind
  7. Disconect the battery pump brake pedal a few times and reconnect....it's now reset
  8. Just a hint.... series 1 and series 2 lights are not really interchangable
  9. hahahaha! I also found that Nissan was cheaper. I was advised to get Vl turbo gaskets for my R33 so I went to holden. Turned out they were a Nissan part no and cost me $50 each instead of $35 at Nissan. I did try one of the Turbo places....they offered me a skinny little tin one for $20
  10. god!!! It would almost be worth the money to have a really good lawyer doing him over in court. Especially if the car is factory standard........almost tempted to start a fighting fund
  11. is this an UNmodified XR6T??
  12. I saw the prototype of the nismo.com.au one, it looked to be better quality than the Japan imports I've seen........a good investment
  13. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can the spacers be tack-welded to the hubs? NO NO NO NO NO......NEVER!
  14. Can lend you one if you want to come down and get it Bris Northside Enoggera
  15. this is the sort of thing that can happen when you get wheels with the wrong offset. You have the answers.....file down the "Nissan" 'til you have clearence or get spacer plates 2 or 3 mm thick
  16. of course it does but I was just talking about the catch can
  17. you also need to check the diameter of the center hole....too small wheel won't sit on properly,...too big and you'r relying on the wheelstuds to centre the wheel properly
  18. to work effectivly the inlet should enter the can at the top and and turn down inside to finish up 2 or 3 mm from the bottom. the outlet just goes to the top. can should be filled with stainless steel wool. The ribbon type is best 'cos the flat with sharp edges helps to separate the oil from the air. Oil laden air is released at the bottm of the can and flows UP to the outlet depositing oil on the the wire wool as it goes. Search the for sale thread ...there was a very good one offered for sale a while ago.
  19. don't like intruding but are you guys looking for something that looks good or something that actually works as well
  20. garage is used as workshop, got double length carport though
  21. sure you are,no problem. Then you get to court and he turns out to have no job and five illigitimat kids and the judge orders him to pay you back at $2 a week
  22. to drive it to and from the track I think it needs to be in full roadworthy condition. My track car which has the interior stripped out, no muffler and slicks would not qualify to be driven on the road
  23. you are out of luck....you pay it yourself I've been in in a similar situation. Crashed a 6 month old car on the track so no insurance. Repair cost was about 80% of the new car price. I did pretty much what rodney_donald wants to do.Its a big job but i've done it twice now ps rodney did you get my e-mail I got a message saying there was a delay in delivery???
