  5. I think it may be harder for people to accept a mental health issue rather than a physical one due to the stigma surrounding mental health. Mental health patients may be labelled such negative terms as 'lazy' and 'irresponsible.' Like you said Christian, because we can't 'see' it, it may have the connotation as being 'less legitimate' than something physical such as gastro or the flu. The thing is though, mental health is a continuum, and we all have imperfections some idiosyncrasies within our mental health.

  10. Thank you for your advice, I'll try to take this advice on board but I don't actually know how to change my form because I do try to pull my shoulders back and my chest out. I always remember Dave Tate's cue of 'show the writing on your shirt.' So I am already trying to do these things. I don't actually know how to use my hips rather than my waist, I seem to have a lot of issues using my hips in all exercises.

I think it's from lifting all day Sunday, then going straight on a plane for 4 hours and getting cramps then driving for 2 hours.
  17. Same... I have a banana, chia seeds and sugar free maple syrup on my oats. My sister told me to try 'apple pie' oats, which is oats with a stewed, peeled, cored chopped up granny smith apple with agave syrup... apparently tastes like apple crumble.

  24. An amazing day, and a fantastic experience; thanks to Markos and all the assistants from PTC, who were also helpful by giving feedback after a lift. It was also great to meet Nick who helped us out a lot, especially with the use of the mono lift. I'm very proud of myself today; a year ago there's no way I would have had the confidence to compete, now I just want to compete again! This experience has put some reassurance back into me as a lifter, regarding my technique, and also given me some perspective on how well I'm actually doing for my weight. All topped off by sharing the experience with my best friend, can't wait to do more
