  1. fixed. hot wired each injector. to break them free. they were stuck shut. and then open. but now it feels good. just in case you guys experience the same stuff.
  2. I have ignition at tdc for start up and i Saw it at the plug. with the coil packs un plugged and the 1 plug out i looked in the cylinder while cranking. no fuel spray at all.I have 12 volts at the injector pigtail with the key on engine off. what controlls the pulse? ground??
  3. also i have tried all different injector pulsewidths for the start...all over the spectrum it wont even pop like its trying to fire...
  4. I am running an AEM series 2 standalone. I just havnt been able to fine tune the start. what initial injector pulse and cranking injector pulse would you run with deatshwerks 1000cc injectors??? I think it is an electrical issue with no power getting to the injectors... time will tell. Thank you
  5. Quick rundown. I did my clutch to get ready for my 35r turbo setup, put in my 1000cc injectors and made a decent base map to get me started. then, i got on to all the goodies on the exhaust side of the engine. I buttoned everything up....... and no start. cranked and cranked and it turned over but no start. The next day I got ready to attemp to diagnose it. cranked and fired up real fast. it ran all day. I started to tune it got the dump pipe put on the wastegate. and called it a day. the next morning went to go do more tuning. and no start. just like the first day. it will crank and crank and crank not even a pop. I do have power to the coilpacks, the plugs look good the top of the pistons look dry...any and all ideas welcome. it ran very strong when it was even running 10.3:1 afrs under boost. thanks in advance, John
  6. Just installed a HD ACT clutch and pressure plate on my RB25DET. I had the flywheel resurfaced. Got the car running again. accelerates smooth but when cruising at a steady rpm higher then 2k or when engine rpms are dropping there is a slight vibration I can feel thru the shifter. I dont THINK it did before. Is this normal with a stiff 6 puck clutch???
  7. Thanks for the heads up. That's definitely good news. That's 500 plus horsepower. I think I'll be good.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. That's definitely good news. That's 500 plus horsepower. I think I'll be good.
  9. I got the 1000's just incase I want to run e85. But probably 91 pump and race gas q16 c16 or something. Glad the stock rail is t restrictive.
  10. I just ordered some DW 1000cc injectors. I am curious what the horsepower limitations of the stock side feed fuel rail are on an RB25DET. What is the most power seen on a stock fuel rail? At what power level does the fuel rail become the restrictive point? Thanks in advance guys.
  11. That's what I meant. Not my old wood shop lathe. Is there a certain spec As to how much material can be removed??
  12. I just bought an atc hd clutch and pressure plate. Should I pull the flywheel and get it turned on a lathe. I heard that you don't want to take the material off the flywheel. I would be pushing 400 hp ish with my new gt35r setup and want to make sure everything is gonna work well.
  13. well where are the thousand dollar ones. they're very plentiful from 100-500 but nothing from 500-1700. Thanks any way guys
  14. Hey guys, I just ordered my flywheel and clutch. I even ordered some 660cc RC engineering injectors for my big turbo setup The problem is that I cant justify spending over 1000 dollars on an exhaust manifold for my big turbo setup. I am going to get a gt3582r and the manifold needs to fit a lest hand drive 240sx. There are a few, cx racing has one that looks DECENT but it only can take a 38mm waste gate. I don't want the boost creep BS and would rather do it right once. STEC in japan had some good manifolds with good reviews for 500$ with 50mm waste gates, and the reviews were good. Their site is no longer up... Long story short I have been staring at the computer for four hours to no avail. any input on this matter would be very very appreciated. any used manifolds from people parting out rb25s would be too. I'm more than willing to get the right piece shipped to the U.S. Thanks, John
  15. I have an AEM standalone EMS and have done all of my own tuning thus far. The turbo shopping research has begun.
  16. I got my car back to the track. I managed a 12.90 @107. My best 60' was still only a 1.85, but I was also scared to just dump the clutch. Here is a link to my video.
  17. Yea it is definitely a very cool program. I have done all the tuning myself so far, just by data logging runs at the strip and third gear pulls. The weather is kinda shit right now. but I am very excited to see what this rb 25 has got in the future.
  18. I guess that means no knock??? haha
  19. Does anyone know the answer though, as far as to how much timing I can add at wide open throttle??
  20. its an aem ems, series 2 for the r33 rb25. It has knock charts on the program on my laptop. it just always reads 0. Ill mess with it and see if I can get a fast stock turbo video up for you guys. I wish I was playing around at sea level!!! John
  21. with E85 I think I would have to change my injectors Ive already seen them at 93% duty. lol Ive heard you have to change fuel lines too.
  22. I eventually plan on building up an engine for the car. the GT35 is just so I dont outgrow the turbo. My car with me in it is under 3000 pounds, I should be able to shave a quarter second off the 60' foot time, I will be launching off of a two step at 5000. so a quarter second off the sixty has always been, and SHOULD be good for a half second off the big end. thats 12.80 without race gas. I'm mainly just curious how much timing I can add for the race gas. Ive heard 6 degrees, 8 degrees??? also would I need to go to a hotter plug???
  23. Its gotta be. its plug and play.
  24. ive also read some tech articles about an sr20det that with just changing the fuel and timing, maybe a different plug too. picked up 40 hp, same boost level. I just need to do some tweaking.
  25. I've read that 12 psi is the most you want to run on the stock, ceramic turbo wheel. just not looking to hurt the engine. I need that bottom end to hold up to the GT35 when funding is available. So far my best is a 13.30 @107. 12 psi 11.8ish afr's. this is with a 2.0 60'. I have some mickey thompson et streets now. shooting for a high 12's, maybe mid 12's on race gas.
