Yeah, I got a quote of $1100 for a tune with cam gears. So defiantly need to do some saving, as the cam gears are the only thing left to get.

They want too much to check over what I want. I'm just going to save up and head down to either CRD or Race Pace.

I would gladly take my car there, but considering they won't return my emails, then it brings me to think the customer service is pretty poor.

That's something I will have to check after work, as I haven't touched the knock sensor yet.

The tune was done a month ago. I know the knock it has isn't as good as it should be, but finding out whats wrong with it is extremely hard as noone can put a finger on it, or point me in the right direction.

It usually gets as high as 54. But it does this crusing at speeds of 80, 100 and 110.

I have GReedy temp gauges for front and rear of the engine and it does go above 100 degrees and I will have to check the exhaust. But the temp on the stock gauge does read normal. And have never had the knock go above 60. The car does run 98 all the time. And the tune was about $560 from memory, but that was also them installing the power fc and boost controller.

This probably has happened before to someone and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Last month I got my Power FC installed and car tuned at Ultimate. When it was tuned the guys noticed the engine light flashing, and tuned it for the knock the Power FC was telling them. Now under slight load, the light flickers, but no I can't hear any sign of knock in the engine. They did suggest to run a few bottles of injection cleaner through the system, but that hasn't made any difference. I also did some research but still can't put any one finger on a problem. So any advice would be appreciated on how to fix it. They did offer a retune at no extra cost, but I want this problem fixed before it goes back. Cheers guys.

Thanks for the help. Believe it or not the car is actually going to ultimate for the work. So that fills me with abit of confidence now. All is now good I can sleep easy knowing that they will be very helpful. And lucky is only the one bit that's cactus.

I am in a bit of a bind. I had a small accident yesterday, and have found that I have busted the lower control arm joint. This has affected the toe of the car. I know its late notice but I need a replacement today as the car is getting tuned and rwc tomorrow. Any help will be appreciated.

I was an apprentice mechanic. I stuck at it for 2.5 years. The pay is one of the worst out there and if you are in a place that doesn't let you work on the cars then the first few years are boring. If he loves it then I would suggest it. If he wants earning potential, his looking at a long time before a good wage comes to him. I suggest he does some work experience and see if he likes it first.
