  1. Thanks Sean, I'll check out the hoses on top of the tank from under the car and also from the inspection panel in the boot floor pan
  2. Hi guys, When I filled my fuel tank this morning,I noticed there was a small puddle under my tank...the leak came from the front top of the tank as it is dripping drop the inside face, right next to the diff. Is this is split over flow hose? Once I drive the car after a few min, the leak is gone.
  3. Self monitoring systems sounds interesting, can u recommend a particular vendor?
  4. Price drop as follows: Vipec V44 ECU - $1000 Sard 700cc injectors - $450 HKS metal gaskets (exhaust manifold, turbo intake and turbo outlet) - $80 Crank angle sensor - $120
  5. I did a Google search but couldn't find much other than u being a distributor. There is obviously a gap in the marketplace for this solution as I don't really hear of ppl using these tracking devices anymore...why is that?
  6. With rc cars, rule of thumb was toe in for over steer and loss of straight line stability and toe out for under steer and straight line stability
  7. ok - i'll swap them front to back so that i maintain the same rotation on each tyre, definitely makes sense. yes it is odd. so i drove the car & it feels completely different. the pull to the left is almost non existent & with a heasmans wheel alignment / camber adjustment, it will be great! its surprising how much more its tracks the road though BUT i am running 19inch wheels with 35 series tyres - this would be the main cause right (big wheels)? i also wonder if more aggressive 'toe out' was introduced, whether that would rectify this issue (my experience with racing rc cars is what worked here) i'll take a pic & upload - the instructions are based on installation with very little detail on height & damper adjustment.
  8. Hi guys, So I played with the suspension height last night and was surprised / shocked to see the settings I had...I took the measurement on the coilover from the base of the thread to the base of the locknut as this should be set to 25mm for front and rear as per Tein user manual: FL 0mm, FR 35mm RL 22mm, RR 0mm What would it have been set this way? Something to do with the car corner weighted possibly? I even have detailed suspension settings which were done to the car from a specialist from the previous owner when the car lived in the ACT. I have re-adjusted to show 30mm front and 25mm rear and will found out today how it drives. I get the feeling the above would have been a catalyst for the car pulling to the left. I also rotated the tyres from right / left and vice versa.
  9. Thanks and funnily enough I did the diode mod as mentioned in the above posts on my previous gtr...I'm losing my mind
  10. Bump for a great post, I'll do this mod to my new r32GTR
  11. Hi guys, I just had my a/c regassed with r134a on my r32GTR and it works very well. The mechanic questioned why the a/c does not run when the a/c is turned on...we tested the relay and that is fine and checked all the fuses. Apparently it's quite dangerous to run the a/c without the fan as the pressure can build high enough to explode. My question is what triggers the electric fan, is it the a/c or the engine when it gets too hot?
  12. Too many pms and not enough offers, do I need to introduce a price drop even though I am negotiable?
  13. Mine was 2004ish. I do remember seeing the unit and it was a little thin black box with an aerial hanging off it, kinda looked like a funnny walkie talkie hence I'd say it was spectrum radio. We're u a founder / shareholder of quiktrak? (Lost 65k)
  14. Just did a quick search, asim is just a sim card My guess is that quiktrak did not use a sim?
  15. Thanks Chris! What is an asim card? Does this also mean that I may as well remove the quiktrak gear if it can't be used (assuming its not asim)?
  16. I'm running the stock intank pump with external 044 and surge tank but I can't go higher than e60 as my fuel flow is just about maxxed out (I need to add a second 044), however, SIR_RB as above is running the walbro independent. I'm thinking of running my walbro as well on its own as it's now tried and proven for 450kw! I'm making 430kw @ 25psi.
  17. Mine is a standard fuel rail with a Nismo regulator. Also running standard actuators on my -5s and its happy
  18. Hi guys, I live in Sydney and was wondering if there are any other vehicle tracking services out there? I was a quiktrak customer until they ceased trading and I still have the quiktrak system in my car...can I possibly reuse this technology with another provider or should I simply remove the hardware? What is the latest on quiktrak? I was hoping with today's 4g and app technology that there are more options than over 5yrs ago
  19. Why is it that divided roads tend to lean to the right? Great observation btw
  20. Great info guys, thanks Any recommendations for suspension tuning in Sydney and what should I expect to pay?
  21. Also, the car pulls to the left slightly which is also exaggerated by the camber on the road...can this be adjusted out with a wheel alignment or is there another adjustment which can be responsible for this? My dad used to say that cars in Aust were purposely setup do drive slightly to the left to avoid collisions...makes sense but not sure if it's true hmmmm
  22. Thx for the info guys Sounds like I need to leave it to the experts in terms of adjusting camber, castor, toe and obviously wheel alignment. Should I setup the height myself or let the specialist do this as well?
