  3. here are some pics of a local newcastle engine builder & his latest project. gtx snails with a few other goodies...take note of the intake plenum & flux capacitor. absolutely awesome fabrication work!

  16. This is good to hear.If aiming for 400kw with -5s, I would assume that hks or xforce sized dumps would support this power level? It did on my rb2630 with -10s so I think I just answered my own question. What do these tomei items look like and are they plumb back waste gate?

  19. thanks for the advice - much appreciated. i think u are right that i'd find -9s a bit boring as ive always liked the top end delivery BUT ive also thought to myself, maybe i need to enjoy the car for what it is as ive had my fair share of powerhouse donks. anyway, this is my personal dilemma i'll pm u today.

MAJOR THREAD BUMP i am in the quest of removing my HKS GTRS's finally - after deliberating for a loooong time, so i skimmed thru this thread which really provides some great reading & insight from others. they are just awful on a 2.6 to put it simple - i had enough!!! paul - u are right that post no.7 by Gav sums it up as u mentioned on the UK forum. with my 2.6, it is a built engine with tomei poncams (260's / 9.15mm lift) but i am a little undecided whether i would be happy with -9s (330rwkw) or -5s (360rwkw+). i'd like to know if anyone can share an overlay of these 2 snails, possibly? from my own due diligence, we are only talking a difference ~ 500rpm in low end boost response...

  23. I too vouch for DART Automotive when it comes to engine building. Nick - good to hear that Pulse Racing is taking care of you as there is nothing worse than putting the cart before the horse
