  1. A very well known engine builder was telling me about the tomei kits he has worked with and they have always required some 'tinkering' to get them right on terms of balancing and tolerance setting. No big deal IMO, as long as your engine builder can recognise this need.
  2. That GIO GTR is to diiiie for...
  3. More pics michael, can't see those wheels
  4. hi guys, my mate recently bought a black my12 gtr...he came over & took me for a drive in it. it was the 1st time i experienced an r35, let alone sit in one. to say i was very impressed is an understatement & this is coming from someone that used to race motorbikes, owned many 1000cc bikes which have a power/weight ratio close to 1:1 & ive also owned an r32gtr which had 405awkw (r32's only weigh 1450kg) the acceleration from 0-100km/h would be very hard to beat in any other car or bike - absolute weapon for a car that is not modified! the traction it has really surprised me & funnily enough, although the car looks 'biggish' it definitely doesn't feel that way in the cabin. my r32 used to spin all 4 wheels in 3rd gear under acceleration (like mr squiggle) but in the defence of r35, i don't think i could even fathom an r35 with the same extensive mods. won't be long before i buy my r35
  5. Agreed and the best way to measure your gains with back to back dyno testing. I can't imagine the withdrawal symptoms u are experiencing Paul...almost there
  6. I had my head flow tested for my build but can't remember the CFM results
  7. what a legend brocky was - he had a massive influence on my dad which is why he bought his 5ltr SS Torana back in 1977
  8. this is interesting - how does the flywheel become 'loose' & why? assuming the flywheel bolts run straight into the rear of the crank like a conventional engine - are the actual bolts under engineered or not correctly torqued from factory?
  9. What material is the flywheel made of? These r35s sound very metallic on crank and to me they almost sound like the flywheel is made of titanium. This car sounds incredible
  10. I've had GTSS, GTRS & -5's on a 2.6ltr (as well as -10s on a 26/30 which Paul has driven). ^ Absolutely you can comment on -9's back2back with -5's as you've had both...really is horses for courses though as I personally found GTSS's way too small (not sure how -9's compare to GTSS though)
  11. Interesting as I found my other gtr with -5s very responsive. That was a 2.6 as well. What do u think is a good turbo for the application u refer to above? Its not a loaded question- just like to hear your opinion.
  12. Hi Terry, Last year when I insured my ADM with Shannon's, I was advised that market value is between 40-60k thus I had the option of insuring my car for whatever price I most comfortable with which affected my annual premium. To answer your question though...we haven't really shared on the forum what our cars are insured for.
  13. Black one parked out the front of my house yesterday...my mate just bought a MY12
  14. i would take it over the z-tune in a heart beat BUT not over an F40 (sorry)
  15. that is odd. I've tried again from my phone and still cannot access these FB links
  16. Neither of the 3 links work...
  17. That second with dash view is awesome...off the clock and plus!
  18. ^ that garage sauras gtr (alongside the atcc winfield gtr) are my favourite gtrs of all time!
  19. from memory my rb2630 with -10s made 1bar @ 3krpm, I'd need to dig it up as I posted my results in each gear on gtr UK forum
  20. u are the first unhappy -5 customer I have heard...am I allowed to ask who is your tuner?
  21. Is this vinyl wrapped matt black?
  22. Riiight. Well its about time u ran it on some MT's to see what this baby can do. What is your goal, maybe cracking the 8 sec bracket?
  23. 1.4sec 60 footer is seriously quick getting out of the hole on 19s...what is your technique?
  24. Not good Jim but I understand your perspective. Because its not the 'premium' jet silver metallic colour, unfortunately its not worth as much hehe On a serious note though, a recent ADM that sold on Shannon's website went for $53k (burgundy) and another black ADM sold with an undisclosed price (black). Its hard to say what its worth, what os more important is finding the right buyer that not only pay the price BUT also look after and appreciate your car.
