^ same as the r32 rotors - crack across the cross drill section. i noticed that the alcon & ap rotors are slotted for the r35, so why have nissan cross drilled rotors from factory? you wonder if this was a marketing ploy for replacement purposes / ongoing business (similar to that of the iphone with glass screen which does not bounce well)

^ surely for that price u can pick up a set of aftermarket japanese floating rotors which are an improvement over the oem rotors? has the aftermarket industry for the r35 caught up & surpassed the genuine parts industry? for example, the oem r32 rotors are terrible as they crack under race conditions...

Are these resprayed r33 rims? It sure reminds me a lot of my silver gtr when I had r33 rims in the same colour as the r34 rims.

Old thread revival here guys as I am doing my own due diligence on upgrading to an r35. Targa - my opinion aligns with your post. The only way you can appreciate a car is when u get under it and understand the mechanics of it. The only time a mechanic has been on my car is when it is due for rego. Martin - with regards to your willall tuning options, do u have a plug and play alternative for interstate owners?

my mate just bought a new my2012 gtr in black - picks it up tomorrow. he is going to take me for a drive but i told him not to bother until its run-in (needs to put 2000km on it) - he has a heavy foot & highly skilled driver (races a superlap r32gtr) might be my biggest mistake going in this car as it will expedite my upgrade path hehe

probably feels lighter if the diameter is slightly larger than your aftermarket? the other determining factor could be the physical weight of the wheel as it is relatively heavy so u have the weight of wheel carrying some of the load -

What is the limiting factor on the OEM turbos running up to 18psi? Do they simply loose efficiency due to their size? I am guessing that they steel wheel/ball bearing units

The r35 is a beast though, the ultimate in today's performance, bleeding edge technology

Job done. The boot had a 1mm pinch and from that, it made a huge mess (looks like something hit it like the end of a spanner). The actual boot was the genuine Nissan boot and it was still like new, no cracks or age at all. Kerosene all the suspension parts and inside the wheel, nice and clean the way I like it

your veilside gtr is the same colour as my mates BSM GTR which raced in superlap! im sure he told me it was the blue used on the BA ford - name slips my mind atm

Haha the labour is where it gets expensive. Besides that, I will always be more meticulous than a mechanic

OK. I'll visually check the aux belts and then remove them via process of elimination

I doubt its the starter motor as the noise starts after I crank the engine, not during engine cranking.

hi guys, when i start my r32gtr - only on start up for about 2 sec i get this high pitch squeal which to me sounds like a fan belt, so i sprayed a bit of silicone spray...its not this. what could it be? if my explanation is not clear - i can record a short clip & post it here
