Nice reply from an admin........

Totally agree............it only takes a few small minded people to ruin it for everyone.......... Also interesting to know that some R34 and Stagea owners have got the same negative/unwelcome treatment as well.
-
I really don't think calling another forum user a f***king retard and a f**ken wanker is tongue and cheek. Its just plain childish and rude. What Anfenee has just clearly demonstrated is the reason why most R35 owners do not use or contribute to this subforum.

I was here over 2 years ago and sadly its comments like the above that have put off many R35 owners myself included. I don't know the history of why this division has occurred in the SAU forum and why some of the other 32/33/34 owners have a chip on their shoulders but it does not help promote anything in the R35 section of this forum. Yes we have over 90 owners in the FB group now and we also have 2-3 experts who run/own garages that service and modify R35's. They contribute regularly on any technical issues and answer questions without any unnecessary marketing/promotion of their products. We have also had some great meets, drives and technical talks at garages where a specific topic is discussed. So far for me I can say its all been very positive on the FB forum.

If you look at the UK forums there's some guys using motul oil 5W-50 and non nissan OEM transmission fluids. I have just moved back from the UK so curious what's available in Australia and if anyone is using anything else. Mobil 1 in the UK is about AUD 48$ for 5 litres, so $100 dollars is expensive! I guess I better get used to the prices for oil and servicing here

Hi, My 09 car is due for a service soon, but wondering what oil do you guys use? Nissan recommends mobil 1 0w-40 but what else is available in Australia that would be suitable? I have also seen mobil 1 0w-40 for sale from the US. Is this the same as the Australian Mobil 1? Packaging is different but I would suspect its the same Can anyone confirm. Thanks

Saw a silver GTR involved in a crash around 7.00 pm tonight on the Pacific Highway Pymble area. Looks like it went into the car in front. Weather was really bad and visibility was low. Didn't look major but hope everyone is ok.

That was probably me taking the kids to the park!

Today around 1.00 pm on Warringah road in Frenchs Forest way. Saw the best looking blue r34 v spec or n1. Managed to acknowledge the other driving before the lights changed and we both had to pull away. Car sounded great and was definitely not standard. Also had very nice private plates to match the car. I was in the white GTR

In the UK/Europe there is a known problem with cracked rotors due to people tracking the car and not cooling the brakes properly. If you look at the UK forum it's well documented. Most people me included have gone aftermarket with either Alcon or AP racing rotors. I think DBA is quite popular here also. General consensus is that the aftermarket rotors are better and don't crack.

Tuffy, Sorry been so busy and thanks for the PM the other day. Wont be making it tonight but you guys have fun and be nice to see some photos!.

Great thanks will keep an eye out on the forum

Have you looked at the michellin super pilot sports? Seems to be the tyre of choice in the UK and some are running 285 square and others 275/ 305. I currently have 285/315 Toyos on mine as that's what the car came with when I brought it. Good tyres in the dry but quite noisy on the road. Not so good in standing water and the wet. Look at the UK GTR forum for more details

Hi do any R35 owners from Sydney meet regularly? Be keen to meet some other owners Also any tips on servicing in central Sydney? From what I have seen most tend to go to CRD or Autohaus but are there any other recommendations?
-
Presume this is the same problem? Best bet is to go to your local nissan dealer here. Not sure how much the part costs here but you can look at getting it from the US if its cheaper. I believe the part is the same on some other other nissan cars but best confirm with dealer http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/173859-steering-lock-failure.html

Recommendations For Mobile Car Security Dealers
UKGTR replied to GTR_JOEY's topic in New South Wales
I used Leon and security in motion about 3 months ago for both my cars. The guys an absolute professional and knows what he is doing. Prices are reasonable as well. I have no hesitation in recommending him. -
Very nice and always liked the gun metal colour. Keep us updated how the other mods go
