I also need the HID cables, able to find another pair for me?
-
I just only watched the video today and thats what made me realise I need the "igniter/ballast to bulb" wire. So I think everything is all clear now, just need to get that and some bulbs. Yeah, I didn't troll every post on this thread and was too excitied to get the new headlights in and forgot the small details. So sick of seeing my rotten right hand side headlight and now I have to see it longer, serves me right I guess... LOL!

So these (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/350Z-OEM-Infiniti-FX35-FX45-QX56-Xenon-HID-Igniter-Ignitor-Murano-Maxima-Rogue-/330580363365?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf8200865#ht_1372wt_1378) won't do the job?
-
This video is awesome! Now I know what I need, which is the HID socket. I'm getting confused, the ballast and igniter are the same thing right? Sorry, I'm no lighting or electrical guru.
-
Do I need a new one or am I able to only replace the wiring?
-
Can you confirm if the additional harness is suppose to be connected to the igniter? Also, I'm wondering what that small black box with the double sided tape on it is?

All good! Yeah we just turned around cause there was nothing to do down south-east and the drag weren't on yet... Brian magically reappeared at the intersection of Princes Highway and Springvale Road, LOL! -
I didn't bother reading all posts, but it should be known that there is an FOI (freedom of information) Act and anyone can obtain information that is documented or recorded, file and stored but nothing strictly confidental of course at a cost. This is one of the first thing lawyers do if you do hire one to defend you, oh and also sting you with a massive bill, LOL!

Are you refering to me, Keith or Josh? -
YAY! It's done, headlights installed! Damn unplugging the headlights were a bitch! Dreadnought it took me 4 hours this time, took a while to unplugged the harness from the old headlights. Annoying with the tight space and undoing the bolts of the front bar underneath the headlights, holding the plastic wheel guard back. How y'all doing with the install? I'm thinking the same too... I opened up the old headlights and the wiring from the igniter has been cut and I saw on the new headlights that it had an additional harness, I tried to see if it was for the igniter and it is, fits perfectly. But I left it disconnected as I'm not good and confident enough at wiring, so I didn't bother trying to wire up igniter to the new headlights.

Hey yall, if anyone can help me make sense of something. When I brought my car and took out the stock headlights, I found the HID igniter module attached beneath the headlights, but I can not find the harness and wiring to connect it. Does all of our cars come with that module, even if the HID options weren't installed on it? Wouldn't make sense for the manufacturer to installed the module if it wasn't going to used right? I assume that it did have the HID options installed, but compliance took them out and that's why I can't find the harness and wiring. I just wanna make sure before I install the new headlights with the halogens and realise I need to inspect deeper for the harness and wiring been tucked away somewhere. I can't be bothered taking apart the front bar and headlights again to do this and also can't be bothered installing a HID kit, if the the harness and wiring are gone...

Ah yes, I can help! It's all easy just tedious. Don't forget to bring some masketing tape. My headlights won't be installed as yet, trying to figure out the HID stuff... -
I totally reckon It is bogus! Do not pay it, until you are safistied that it is legit! No time and BP or any service stations are private properties and I doubt they have gazetted it to be public space use, where you can be fined.

Isn't There Gold At The End Of A Rainbow?
81gSKy replied to SleepyRN's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Burning Blue > Neo Chrome (Rainbow). Wished someone did that colour Burning Blue. -
YAY! Keith and I got ours today! Super rapped to fob off my RHS headlight! Thanks to everyone's input and patience and to Keith for organising it on my behalf! Has someone installed them yet? I wonder what to do with the small box attached to the wires, tape it to the headlights when I install it? I know how to install the headlights, but I might need some advice assistance with the HID ballast and harness.

Need Advice On Exhaust Aftermarket Upgrades
81gSKy replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
$2k only for exhaust mods or $2k for mods altogether? $2k for exhaust mods only = Berk HFC (~$500) + Stillen CBE (~$1200) or a knock-off HKS CBE (~$500) $2k for all mods = Berk HFC (~$500) + Motordyne Plenum Spacers (~$250) + Sway Bars (~$300) + knock-off HKS CBE (~$500) + K&N Drop-In (~$50) These are estimate pricing in US Dollars and excludes shipping. -
Vic - Garage Cafe - Meet & Greet – March

Hey all fellow V's and others, Is there gonna be a V meet on the 27th of April? -
$398 for one of two sets, delivered?
-
If you can't figure a way to do it, then just take it to Nissan, costs $50...
-
I initially was going to buy the Berk Techs, but I heard recently their not so good as I heard they make your exhaust sound a lot raspy and some tendency to be defective (i.e. crack or whatever). But I think that's just the nature of catalytic convertors, can be damaged easily. So that's why I chose to get the cheapest which was the Kinetix Racing and it's SMOG compliant. As long as the HFC does the job, that's all it matters.
-
+1 Couldn't agree with you more there...
-
There are gains with them, but they are small enough for people to think its not value for money. But if money (min $700 excluding shipping) isn't a issue, I'll say go for it and have a full exhaust system upgrade.
-
EPA, the smell is detectable and if the cops look underneath your car... There are many people out there that have straight pipes or various forms of it on, but that's the risk they are willing to take. Yup, I am ordering a plenum spacer and high flow cats as we speak. But with the headers, you won't get much gain from it. Although I would like to upgrade the header as well, I heard it a headache to install...

Yes, I would like to know as well. My only annoyance is the drone from 1500 to 2500 rpm.
