My 4 Door R33 Turbo 1994 for sale at Bargain Price.......SEE THREAD BELOW. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=66190

Anyone else? For 1 week only I will sell the car for $13,000 Flat thats an extra $800 off. If you contact me make sure to mention you saw this thread at Skylines Australia because this car is still up for sale at Carsales.com.au and carpoint.ninemsn.com.au for $13,800 (still the Cheapest 94 4 Door Turbo in Australia out of over 3,000 Skylines available on carpoint at the moment) I would rather sell this car privately than to the yard's where they will only add their own cream to the price! I challenge anyone to find a better bargain on a 94' 4 Door Turbo. This car must be sold before my wife recieve's her beloved R34 coming from Japan. See Contact details above.

R33 GTS25t Auto Vs R34 GT-T Auto?
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Well firstly I must say thank you to Firefrog for giving me the opportunity to check out every aspect of his R34 GTT 4 Door. It was great to ride in your car and feel all that it had to offer (which is a lot btw ). For those of you who are interested in how the 33 and 34 4 Door Auto's (turbo)compare in a real head to head comparison read on. Here is my opinion. In a one on one line up from stand still there is not much in it at all. We are talking not even half a cars length between us. Things to consider in this test run, my 33 has a 3" mandrel with dump as the only performance mod, the 34GTT was stock as a rock (performance wise). Also with no malice intended, Firefrog was still learning the best way to launch his car with not owning it for more than a couple of weeks, where as I had had my 33 launch down to as good as I can get it (after about a year worth of owning/driving it). Still it was neck in neck in that short run. On a longer stretch of road the 34 would consistently pull away slowly. On the motorway we dropped it while rolling. Here the R34 demonstrates its superior tip-tronic box and top end grunt, slowly edging away further and further. It wasn't blow you out of the water difference but yes there is definate, real world improvements over the 33 (and remember mine had the exhaust modded as well). I was most impressed with the 34 at the end of the night when Firefrog was nice enough to take me for a drive inside it. The very first thing you will notice hoping out of a 33 and into a 34 is the seats! The Seats hug you like a racing bucket yet still have a nice level of plushness. The Torque is truely an upgrade. The push you feel that keeps you back in your seat when the car accelerates, is without question stonger. But last and certainly not least the handling is superior in every aspect. The car has significantly less body roll and feels very up to the task compared to the 33 when it comes to the twisty stuff. Now for a couple of comments on this Tip-tronic Box. I can't compare it against the manual in the 34 because I haven't been in one, however I've been in some nice euro cars with tip-tronic. The R34's Tip-tronic is a real gem. It is smooth and takes no-prisoners. From first gear it accelerates with easy to the Redline where you hit the next gear, it has a very brief moment as it finds the next gear to continue accelerating, but it is brief and not much different in my mind to the time it would take for a fast manual gear change, Yes VERY NICE! Infact the tip-tronic box felt like it could do it all day, every day it was that unfussed about using it manually. The change is also whisper quiet and there is absolutely no hint of shudder or harshness in the change. Nissan had obviously spent some time making sure the Tip-tronic was well integrated in the car. Not considerng many other asthetic and functional advantages of the 34, it is a hell of a ride, although there is no question that both cars are great performers the 34 just feels more purposeful, sporty and overall stronger. Given though there is a big price difference in these two cars (approximately an extra $15,000 give or take between them) so for the money you would expect that the 34 has these improvements. Thanks again Firefrog for giving me the opportunity to experience your ride, nice. looking foward to our future trips together. -

R33 GTS25t Auto Vs R34 GT-T Auto?
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Awesome a 98 4 door GTT, exactly what I've got comin! I noticed you live in Brissy too, gee I'd love to check out your car if you ever had some spare time or anything, it would be good not only to check out what I'm in for but also to compare with my existing R33, if your up for it let me know (btw I live southside). The Tip-Tronic sure sounds like a quality item anyway -
Tis a bit of a distance I suppose Thanks for your response anyway mate

R33 GTS25t Auto Vs R34 GT-T Auto?
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
So it sounds like the Tip-Tronic is not just a gimmic that I'll never use! Cool Thanks for that Firefrog. Is yours a 4 Door? Does there feel like there is turbo lag at all? My GTS25t feels like a N.a. car until about 3,500 rpm where it starts to build up steam and by about 4,500 rpm the car is boosting fairly hard and this continues through to the redline. Like I said On-paper stats, can't tell a person like me who hasn't driven the car much at all. On-paper stats as we all know can be distorted (take the GTRs' On-paper power for example). Also On-paper the r34 GTT is has the same power as the GTR but we all know that is incorrect. Can anyone confirm the power to weight figures that I worked off, or does anyone have standard 400m or 0-100 times for these two cars? -
R33 GTS25t Auto Vs R34 GT-T Auto?
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I am asuming you are talking about the R34 being a better cornering machine? Oh no.... please dont' tell me that there is little to no difference in straight line performance . -
Ok I am currently buying an R34 (r34GT-T on its way from Japan) and as some people here have noticed I am selling my R33 GTS25t in this forum as well. In this thread I am really hoping some people can tell me how different the two cars drive? (here is the link if you are interested in my R33- http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...167#post1234167 ) I believe the specs on my 1994 GTS25t 4 Door are around 187Kw (correct me if I am wrong) and the 1998 GTT also 4 Door is around 206Kw. POWER TO WEIGHT RATIOS: R34 GTT 4 Door - AUTO Tip-Tronic 1450 Kg Weight / 206Kw = 7.03Kg per 1Kw R33 GTS25t 4 Door -AUTO 1380 Kg / 187Kw = 7.37Kg per 1Kw By these figures the 34 GTT has only a slight power to weight advantage. So how much quicker is it really? Does it feel much quicker or does the Tip-tronic trans give it a notable advantage over the R33 equivelant? Any opinions on this is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the nice comments everyone, I've made an effort to be super reasonable on the price, especially considering some of the extras that I am prepared to let go with it ***cough*** Alpine Monitor ***cough***. Since I posted an advert for it on Carsales.com.au (just a couple of days ago) I've had plenty of positive feedback, so now I just need to wait for the right buyer.

Have family staying in Japan for a couple of days and have asked them to pick up some Nismo / Skyline / GTR merchanidse. I know they are going to be in Kyoto and Narita. Does anyone here know of any details I can pass on to my family, regarding appropriate shops or tuning houses close to these locations? Ps. I have been to Nismo Japan Website and looked at shop locations and came up with this list when translated using an online translater. Cutom 3" Exhaust vs Stainless Brand name

In regards to the cat: Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a true HI-FLO cat and a standard cat with 3" flanges? -
Cutom 3" Exhaust vs Stainless Brand name
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thx for the advice mate! Sounds like good logic to me, I would imagine I'd get better performance with a custom 3" full system icluding dump, then if I went for the cat-back only brand name system. -
Cutom 3" Exhaust vs Stainless Brand name
Myth33 replied to Myth33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks alstar! How did you find it? Custom one seems quite good? -
Ok I'm close to buying an exhaust for my R33 GTS25T. I am on a budget and these are my options for an exhaust as I see it: OPTION 1: Full 3" Custom Mandrel Bent system including dump pipe, Hi-Flo Cat and stainless steel muffler. Best price quoted: $1080 Fitted OPTION 2: APexi or HKS Stainless Steel Cat-back only: $1200 (not fitted) I'm seriously considering Option 1 only because I think it will give me a bit more power with the dump pipe and HI-FLO cat, and it is a bit cheaper What do you guys think?

Thx for the reply 'Steve'. So should I ask for any copper plugs? What about the gap?
-
I have just read in the forrums about Iridium spark plugs. Are they a worthwhile thing to invest in even if I only have an exhaust mod? And what is the gap that I need to get?
